For some reason I actually think Ribery could do a job for us here for a couple of years on a low fee and high wages. Lets say we sell Schurrle to Dortmund for 20-25m, who in turn got it from selling Reus to Bayern for the same amount(release clause). Bayern would then be willing to let Ribery leaves, who we can sign as a Alonso type of deal aka 10m max but even though he will get 150-200k per week on a 2-3 years deal. Of course this only applies if Ribery actually show for the rest of the season he still got it at the highest level(which he seems to be doing atm). Also a lot of ifs but I wouldn't rule it out completely, domino effect and all that. Then in a couple of years we get rid of Ribery if he isn't up to it anymore and begin battling for the next Bale/Hazard. how does this sound?

Yep that is why Pep got a pasting a few months ago with Bayern too, now they are much more direct and passing quicker. Jose also changed a bit from the full on bus parking strategy because of result against City imo. We are now unlikely to play that extreme defensively anymore unless we meet Bayern/Real or Barca. Against someone like Atletico I think Jose has learned his lesson and won't instruct the team to do the same as last year anymore.

Naaa that is just the nature of forums really, they are decided for people to discuss things but most of the debate will stem from controversial/negative points which other can counter(obviously not talking about troll). He said squad not individual players. For example Drogba at his prime and Lampard at his prime obviously would be better than Fabregas or Costa as good as they are now. Cech too in his prime is on par with Courtois atm. Overall though I do feel this is our best ever squad on paper by averaging out everyone. Also we can win the CL this season too if we play properly and no major fuck ups(ref...etc). Only Bayern, Barca, Real, Atletico and maybe PSG can give us a proper game over 2 legs but the rest are easy providing we are on form.

Apaprently has decided to leave the club and told Dani Alves he had enemies at the club. Rumors going around we have offered £24m and MU is interested as well but he wants to join us. I don't know, personally think he is an OK defender, not exceptional but not bad either. He is being unfairly judged though because people and media focuses on a few of his mistake such as red card/handball more often than his last ditch challenges or sometime goals scored. The only problem with him not scoring enough is that he will never win the Golden Ball as it tends to be based on goals nowadays mostly. For example this year arguably Neuer cannot have a better year but CR7 will win it because he scored over 60 goals and Madrid won the CL. If the current trends continue he will not win it ahead of Neymar or Bale when Messi and CR7 start to enter into their period of decline in 3-4 years from now.
