Kevin plays as a CAM, Hazard as a LW and they do fine together in national team, in fact Kevin is even better than Hazard for Belgium.
-
2 top class players we have potentially lost in Kevin and Salah due to Mourinho's unexplainable dislike of them. Really hope Zouma becomes that world class player one day so at least he can claims one to his name along with Varane. Haven't seen Mou turn any young potential player into world class yet.
-
If this is his strength he would be a Chelsea legend here...we are the home of bus parking counter attacking football.
-
Also good start is one thing but keeping it going is another too. Remember Costa, something like 15 goals in 1st 12 games or something but then now 5+ games without a goal. I am not doubting Salah but lets see if he can keep this up until end of the season.

Getting a regular game to do it would be a good start...

Yeah yeah this again...Robben got ditched by Real, became best in the world in his position with Bayern(who were extremely shit at that time), Sneijder joined a seemingly average Inter in a weak league after leaving Real...arguably should have won best player in the world in 2010 ahead of Messi and others... Pogba leaving a top MU side at the time, now one of the best young mid in the world. I can do this all night if you want to play the generalization game for every players.
-
Hindsight and all that...could do a Lukaku/Mata or Kevin, no one knew back then. Then it is natural for people to jump on the bandwagon especially with Cuadrado rumor. At the time it looks like we were getting one of the best winger in the world(top 20) to swap for a look like not good enough player. He proves that football isn't played on paper and sometime the better players are not the better solutions.

Not sure if sarcastic or ignorance. He will probably start for Spurs, maybe even Liverpool atm.
-
While Salah is soon reaching double figure, this guy contributes nothing after 1 month...
-
SALAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL 2ND
-
Well he got the own goal at the right competition
-
Looking back to July when he 1st signed, some people are very close... and he has already surpassed many expectations it seems.

Overall what would you guys think if he ends the season with 20 goals and we win the BPL too? I think that would have been a good 1st season for us, could have been more due to the early great start but ends up a good one if we win the league and he personally scores 20 goals. If we go back to the 1st few pages of this thread lots of people predicted around 10-20 goals and he has proven to have lived up to expectations, but not much beyond that. What I am worried about though is that if this was to be the case this would be the 2nd running season he drifts toward the end of the season, suggesting either an unexplainable reason as with Fabregas or Oscar or just not good enough physically. In 2012-13 you could argue he ended the season even better than the start but you can argue that Falcao was in the best striker in the world form back then for the 1st half and Costa barely played, hence being fresher for the 2nd half.

We are looking like mug atm, ffs Cuadrado was meant to do things like this for us. If he takes a year or something to settle in the team that is not good enough. Hopefully he makes an impact soon, I suddenly got this feeling of Torres style flop surrounding Cuadrado

Just being realistic. Anyone expecting champagne easy win is sadly mistaken. Our recent form doesn't help much either, we are winning games through sheer will and defensively strong and not because we are destroying opponents by attacking. Considering they will need to score a goal like Liverpool did I am expecting Jose to set us up nearly identical to that game and as a result we will make it through but just barely again. Tbf we need balance, trying to outscore the opponents like that Spurs away game could result in a raping. Really want us to repeat the City last season away performance, that was perfection in term of both attacking and defending.
-
Maybe to join Bayern themselves

Cech has always been professional, he became a legend here so obviously he is not gonna destroy his legacy by trying to end it in a bad way. Courtois is happy because he played for like 99% of all the important matches. Also it looks like Cech is leaving in the summer anyway so I think it is good by Jose, but nothing special. They probably had a chat about it before this season and Cech agrees to give one last season for the club out of respect and remain professional while doing so. If we really want to see how good he can handle this wait until we reject a Arsenal/Liverpool bid of like 10m for Cech in the summer and forces him to stay basically, then we will find out a lot more. I agree though Jose is a great motivator for most players and one of the best manager in the world at that(although he couldn't do it to Torres )
-
Line up: Courtois Iva Zouma Terry Dave Matic Ramires Willian Fabregas Hazard Costa or Zouma instead of Willian with Ramires at RW if Jose intends to go ultra defensive from kick off. Prediction: Really really difficult win and just barely make it through with negative tactic and getting dominated by them for the majority of the match, maybe even needing extra time. Shade of that 2nd leg CO Cup vs Liverpool again I am thinking.
-
Disappear for the 3rd year running, time to sell to PSG in the summer I think. Need a more dynamic and physical CAM, someone like Isco/James/Rakitic/Gotze I am thinking.
-
Last season he kinda dropped off for Atletico as well, still scored here and there but no where near as prolific as the 1st half. Wouldn't be surprised if from now to the end of the season he barely manages to get to 20 goals which would cap off a good 1st season, could have been amazing but just good because of it.
-
Could do a Robben and peak late with injury problems but I doubt it. Think he is that bad that his Brazilian club is even consider selling him.
-
And...he is injured again. Sad for him, maybe he had a feeling something like this would happen hence that contract for extra security anyway.
-
Think we will try to offer like 30-40m for Varane in the summer but if it is refused we will probably wait until Jan and see if we need to sign anyone else then if Terry proves he isn't up to it anymore. That or like 20-30m for Hummels which I really hope not because he is hopelessly overrated. Imo we might even activate Godin 30m release clause.

All great players go through decline at some point during their career for various different reasons. Terry arguably had to endure that phase from 2010-11 up until 2013 with Jose's return. He had all sort of troubles on and off the field with scandals and we not doing so well in the league, managers getting sacked, FSW benched him because of that Newcastle lost...etc and he looked to be on his way. Now with Jose he is back to being among the very best CB in the world again and at his age that is very impressive. Also most players would throw a tantrum and probably with their ego demand to leave the club if they have been told to 'Take it or fucking leave it' as Maria told Terry apparently in the summer(rumors dunno about truth in this). He truly loves the club I am sure he said a few days ago if he doesn't get offered a new deal this summer he will retire even though he knows probably 19 other BPL clubs, yes 19 will most likely offer him a deal if we let him go this summer. This shows his love for the club, I am sure even if we were in MU position now he wouldn't demand to leave for City...etc. As with many great players, he endured adversity in his career and bounded back in great style. Players who were just 'great, but never truly great' aka Kaka, Torres...etc at some point all became the best player in the world in their positions. However after a few set backs personally they both gave up and never really were the same again, their hungers and desire not as strong as they used to be. Now with John, that is not the case and that is why he is deservedly getting praises today. It is not too far off the mark to call him the best CB in BPL history imo, it is all good talking about Moore, Adam...etc but they never really endured huge personal set backs like Terry did so we never really seen their character and what they are made of in the difficult moments.
