Nice...basing it on 1 game where they played 5 at the back and parked it for the whole time, grabbing a late lucky goal and with Torres missing one of the easiest chance of his Chelsea career on his debut. By that logic Pardew>Mourinho
-
Not the 1st time he messed up though, exact same thing happened last year with Atletico and it looks like it will continue to happen in the future. The warning signs were here this season when we threw away leads late against City and MU. The thing is he is a one trick pony, all his career his success has been built on solid defending and so that is the only thing he knows. Will we ever dominate a big team home or away? Nope, not under Jose as it stands unless he miraculously discover his eureka moment by next season.
-
Costa was not that good last year in Europe anyway, 3 of his goals against a terrible Milan side that ended up finishing 8th, 3-4 against the likes of Zenit, some Austria side...etc. Against us it was a pen.
-
And out comes the Mourinho followers who continue to defend him after such as shambolic performance. When will he 'learn'? 5 years? 10 years? What does he learn from this? Next time aim to win the game in the 1st 90 mins? naaa never. I personally will not want him out this season if we win the league but after next season if we go out CL in this manner again I would want him out. I have no problem going out if it was Barcelona and even if we get raped 7-1 like Brazil did by Germany, as long as we TRIED OUR BEST. This is not our best, this is not our capability. This is not a team that gone 3 months unbeaten, this is a team reminding me of the Chelsea toward the end of last season with Costa filling in the role of a more combustive Torres and Fabregas as a better Lampard minus the goals.
-
I want this guy to be in a Chelsea shirt when Drogba retires.
-
Knowing him, probably thought we did OK and was unlucky to lose. Same formula to be used next season when we play a big team, I hope we get a Barcelona in the last 16 and at home 1st so he can't do the bs approach of parking it away and go for it at home anymore.
-
We don't dominate against big teams anymore, never will probably under Jose. So that is Everton, Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool, MU, Man City, PSG this season that had more possession than us. Actually I am really interested in finding out when was the last time in a big game we ended the match with more possession than the opposition, must be rare or never under Jose. I am all for counter attack at the right game but to do it against 10 men at home is shocking, they are a good side but not a Bayern/Barca/Real with best players in football history in their team for us to be this cautious.
-
Yh on Sky, basically congrats them but at the end leaves in a dig by saying they were clever and not dirty. Nothing about himself or his falling tonight at all.
-
Doesn't trackback, not a friend of Jose( dare standing up to him)...etc oh and cost 6m compared to 25m this guy costs
-
It is not his fault either. The sad thing is he is not getting picked because Jose doesn't trust him DEFENSIVELY. If this was August I am sure he would probably have a couple of assists under his belt now because he is better than Willian attacking wise.
-
That is the key bit, are the players ignoring it or DID HE TELL THEM TO DO IT? We did it for the majority of the match even with 11 men, surely by around 10-15 mins of doing so he would tell them that? We only tried to press higher at the start of the 1st half of extra time.
-
Well he did gone off the boil last season too for Atletico after like 27 goals by Xmas. The rest of the seasons for 5 months he can only manage like 9 goals and the last month was nursing a hamstring injury(not his fault).
-
He is like Benitez in this aspect, it is never ever his fault. If we have lost with Ibra didn't get the red card he would have said the pen was the game changing decision and start to rant about UEFA refs...etc.
-
A classic case of Jose wanting a player out and want a replacement immediately, ah well always a chance he could become a 2011-12 Ramires, but I wouldn't hope too much
-
It will not work as well as it is atm. Atm their attack is basically perfection. Yh nothing I guess we existed before and will exist after him, but when we watch him hold that golden ball in 5 years for Real we will all say what could have been...
-
Simeone wouldn't, he will install winning mentality in the team. If by revamp you mean selling Oscar, Cahill..etc and sign Koke, Godin then yeah I will take that all day.
-
He is not a leader, he is not good enough to be a CAM for Chelsea, he needs to be sold. I want a leader like Koke to replace this kid, who is not even a kid anymore as he is like 25 now or something. Hopefully PSG are impressed tonight and decide to do 30m on him so we can activate Koke release clause. But Ibra will still be pissed with him so I doubt they will. Bottom line is he is NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
-
He is gonna join Real Madrid next year for 100m after they sold Bale to MU For around the same. I think Chelsea is at the end if that happens...one of the best player in the world and soon to be challenging for Ballon D'Or will leave us
-
So a better defensively minded Harry Redknapp? LOL damn that is good...
-
Who cares, we will always be top 3 anyway with our squad.
-
Good striker, nothing more than that really. Tbh if we get a chance for someone like Lacazette in the summer I would do it.
-
Its is kind of funny, yh yh it is all campaign by bitter opposition fans/Barca fans.
-
Nice, 1 loss in 10-15 matches and it is a big deal for Atletico...haha Yh can't help it if most of your best players like Reus are out for 3 months...Now their best players are back they are on top form again. Oh and want to see what he can do with team of creative players? See Dortmund CL 12-13...
-
Mix of a warrior and an idiot cunt, he is gonna be off in one of these day and we will be in trouble. Also no CL goals in like 8 matches, NOT FUCKING GOOD ENOUGH. Next season he must be up there competing for most goals in CL or aiming for around 6-9 goals.
-
Anyone see his interview after the match? He is still talking in a friendly tone and even sorry for celebrating. I hope PSG now win the CL for him
