Erm giving him 5-10 starts in a role to impress as a start. Obviously at the time no one was against it because Oscar was in good form, scoring goals. Now with hindsight obviously everyone regret that, maybe apart from stubborn Jose who won't admit it. By learning from it I mean we should give players a run of starts before binning him. Schurrle for example was justified because he had his chances but didn't show enough consistently, even if he scores like 20 goals next season doubt anyone will regret it. Salah on another hand if he bangs in another 10 goals and Fiorentina buy him for 18m clause in the summer it looks like another mistake, he NEVER HAD a run of games to prove himself. Oscar for example if he is sold now and impress at his new club no one will complain, everyone will know it just hasn't worked out completely for him at Chelsea. Moral of the story is just give the players a chance to impress by allowing him at least like 700-1000 mins not 10 mins every 2 matches at the end of them where we are in the bus parking mode.

Meh I would give him until the end of this season before judging. By the time we are champion I hope Jose starts him EVERY SINGLE GAME FROM THEN ON. That is the only way for him to prove himself.

It is not like Atletico is walking the league or something, I highly doubt that they will win the CL this year so by the end of this season while we will probably win the double they are gonna only Super Copa. Meh one thing is he looks like he is genuinely injury prone ever since that hamstring at the end of last season. I think he is like a RVP/Robben now, needs to be managed carefully or he will keep picking up injuries. I would say hopefully Drogba retires so we can go for someone like Lacazette to challenge Costa for the spot/in case of injury. Remy is a great player but not really good enough to lead the line for us in the biggest games in CL unless he undergoes a Sturridge like transformation from here on.

Doesn't mean he won't change his mind this summer. Costa rejected Liverpool a year before joining us, obviously Barcelona is far bigger but for some players sometime it is better to develop a bit more before jumping on a big ship. Offer him 150k per weeks and 50m to Atletico and who knows...maybe we might offer Oscar in exchange or something/on loan with option to buy like Salah.

Let him go for 10-15m, pay 20-30m for Rodriguez and moves Dave to RB or just move Dave anyway and play Filipe at LB. Not worried he has not been the same since that 10-11 season anyway. Sure we will miss his goals but for a defender that is just extra anyway.

Nice he has taken over Luiz role as the joker in the team now with far more talent. He deserves the £200k per week he has been getting. Genuinely can see him become a Chelsea legend if he stays here for around 4-5 more years.

Slowly becoming a skinnier and faster Mikel, which is not what I expected or wanted after his 11-12 season. Mourinho failed in his quest to turn him into the new Essien instead now we have the new Mikel.

Another thing I really like about him is his pace. Usually for a super sub you would think a big target man like Ba/Drogba to lump the ball up to but this guy is pure speed. A lot have been said about his heart problem or whatever but he never seems to show it.

Another ok/average game. In fact cannot even remember when was the last time he put in a commanding performance, must have been over 3 months ago. He, like Fabregas and almost the whole team have not been themselves for a long time now. I think now we will win the title he can take the foot off the peddle a bit and have a rest, next season he needs to get back to his top form.

Not as good as his Atletico days. Still think he is off in the summer back there with us adding some money for Godin or Koke

Tbh he is a great motivator too as seen by our fired up performance after half time. That is a positive thing. However, this match also shows his clearest limitation, HE CANNOT COACH PROPER FLUENT FOOTBALL. This is something I think we have to accept now and never dream of changing, because he can't, he doesn't know how to. It is always either very strong defensively with bad attacking or all out attacking like today and being terrible defensively. This is something he cannot and will not ever be as good as Klopp or Pep, or Ancelotti for our 09-10 side. I am happy with him, next season lets try to get more youngsters in the team and have a proper go at CL.
