Those instances happened quite far and wide away from each other,they don't prove that his dribbling is good.Just to clear myself I am not saying that he can't dribble to save his life infact he has got decent dribbling ability but I don't expect him to beat many fullbacks this season.His movement will cause defences tons of problems however his vision and dribbling wont.

TBH I dont think Schurrle is a particularly good or effective dribbler even on form,His movement and finishing are his main assets.

I have already stated in the Varane thread that I personally prefer Benatia to Varane simply because Benatia is already World Class and one of the best defenders out there while Varane has ridiculous potential but as of yet it is just potential. Cahill-Terry is a solid partnership but a defence of Courtois-Azpi-Benatia-Terry-Luis would be the best in Europe on paper imo.

I think he is doing that because he is coming back from a long lay-off and is just keen to impress the manager and send him the message that he is not only mentally ready to be a part of the squad but he's also physically ready.

If we go into the the season with Costa,Drogba and Torres as our strikeforce then I'll literally pulls my hairs out of anger and frustration. We'd be one injury away from having to rely on a past it Drogba and some blonde imposter which is gonna be an unmitigated disaster.Not to mention Lukaku is homegrown and as we already are quite short of HG players, letting go of a useful one wont be the wisest move Jose has ever made.

I agree that Varane has got the potential to be the Best CB one day but it does not mean that he will become one.Our defence is brilliant and I trust it as well but seriously a backline of Courtois-Azpi-Benatia-Terry-Luis would be the best in the world especially with Matic ahead of them. I'd be happy with either of them but as of now I prefer Benatia but to each their own.

Same reason I advocated for Luis ahead of Shaw.One is an established world class player while the other has got the potential to be world class but is still not quite there.
