Champions League Final 2012 - Chelsea 1 (4)-(3) 1 Bayern Munich

I can understand locking the match threads but the post match threads shouldn't get locked. There's always something to say about it. That DVD will 100% be purchased by yours truly. Also...that shootout win was our first ever penalty shootout victory in Europe was it not? -
Without trying to 'derail' the thread, with Wilfried Zaha i do think he can have a big future because when i've seen him, he seems to show no fear and raw talent. He has every trick in the book and so much pace and seems strong too, very often brushes off challenges and keeps going but also can be a bit theatrical and go down easy too but if he wants to stay up, he will. As a guy who is only 19, a top club could do wonders with him improving him with elements of play with what he already has. In the 2nd leg of the Carling Cup semi with Cardiff, he was like the lone ranger, he tried so hard to do something but tired a lot from around the 75th minute. Maybe a bit greedy but i can see him going up to the next level in the not too distant future to maybe a Wigan or a Sunderland and then we'll see him improve and maybe go to a bigger team a few years later. To end back on topic with a point on Moses, as i've said i'm all for the transfer but i am wondering too what formation we'll be adopting and what are we trying to do. We do seem to have a lot of players and aiming for more with the same types of qualities, i hope we don't end up making 3 or 4 quality talented players rot and their careers accumulate to fuck all.

He has a few vids on youtube, just had a look at some, they highlight how much skill he has and how comfortable he is with the ball. The few on here don't even know who he is because he's not a world megastar yet, so he's not good enough lol. And yeah it is a shame he didn't pick England, but with the likes of Downing in the team, he'd not get a look in so chose a country where he'd get more chance to play.
-
Someone used to have it but you're like a legend as Sloth so you have to keep it
-
He's also technically very sound, has lots of ability and also shows great composure too. It's just a shame people on here are only judging him because he's played for Palace & Wigan. Everyone starts somewhere, right? I've watched Moses quite closely for about 3 or 4 years and had a Palace fan at work who raved about him. I watched him ever since and have been impressed and thought that in a good team he'll be a much better player. Maybe Wilfried Zaha will be similar if he goes up to the next level. I dunno, maybe there are too many people talking about him who don't know anything about him just trying to get involved in the speculation or to get post count up only judging his previous club/current club and comparing them to ours. I for one know who Victor Moses is and i rate him highly. I hope he comes and i hope he plays.

I spoke AGAIN to Kingstons Chelsea store and they still haven't had full confirmation of the star. The lady told me it will almost certainly be used in the Champions League but no answer yet for the league. I wish they'd hurry up and announce it already, getting fed up now i just want to buy the fucking thing.

The modelling of the home kit reminds me of this classic advert. Kompany is a beast tho. I like both their kits really, they changed it a bit, why not? They're a whole different city now.
-
Tough choice but i'll go with BluesMaster. Not sure why really, probably just noticed him more in certain threads i've posted in maybe.
-
Another part of the Tottenham demise. Good signing for Real Madrid, probably good for Tottenham too in a way as he clearly didn't wanna be there so they got the money and got him away from their rivals hands. Some transfers just seem kinda right and this is one of em. Hopefully both North London clubs have their worst seasons ever and it sparks another Tottenham riot.
-
He's got the physique, he's got the pace, he's at the perfect age, he's got the direct approach, he just needs a great club for him to show off his ability. I always liked him at Palace too. Personally i don't have a bad word to say about him and i genuinely hope it gets done.
-
I don't think a 30 year old Maicon will be tho tbh. Maybe at 34 but 30... he'll still believe he's got life in him yet to be the best.
-
I've never looked forward to a pre season as much as i'm looking forward to this one. We finally seem to have a set of great young talent that can make it all the way. So excited to see Piazon, KDB, Lukaku, Marin, Hazard (, Moses?) and our youngsters like Josh and Kakuta back. These are hugely exciting times.
-
Probably because the Chelsea board know Hulk will come so he's getting in squad players. They obviously know more than we do regarding Hulk etc. Just wait.
-
Will Maicon or Ivanovic be happy with being 2nd choice? Who is genuinely going to be happy at being 2nd choice unless they are an untried nobody?
-
He's 21 years old. This is nothing like their epic signing of Stewart Downing. Give the guy a chance and see how he does if we sign him. Whoever decided to want him obviously saw something in him and we're not the only ones interested.
-
But so far we've been linked with youngsters attacking wise to be the future of the club. Surely this should be no exception. Ivanovic should be first choice RB with a younger, up and coming player behind him to come in and then take over for the future. It seems Hutchinson wont be trusted but there are younger right backs out there playing for less established clubs that could possibly go up to the next level like some that have been mentioned numerous times. Surely the £6m price tag shows that Maicon is not great any more?
-
Do you really think it's Moses or Wallcott? I personally don't think there's a cat in hells chance of Arsenal selling Wallcott to us but i wouldn't exactly mind him. He hasn't developed much considering he's been there so long tho. Moses might develop better and may be the better option. We shouldn't go for both, there'll be too many and most wont get enough games. Wallcott has too many bad games for his 5 or 6 very good ones.
-
This is the kind of deal that excites me. Very quick, talented and young player who will hopefully develop into a very good player. Everyone's a gamble, he has prem experience so let him prove his worth. I like that we're going for young players that can be together even in 6-7 years. My only fear is that he, Marin, Lukaku and De Bruyne will end up leaving because of lack of playing time. It's ok signing them, but play them Robbie.
-
It was a two off actually. The way he was exposed horribly each time Bale even tried to go at him which was when he was 28.... now he's 30 everyone will go at him. For me, Maicon's career revolves around those Tottenham games and i will always remember those games when i think of him which wont change.
-
Read a lot about this. This actually looks nailed on to happen for about £6m. Another Brazilian and can play along side Luiz (RB CB) but every time i think of him, i think of Bale raping him. He scores the odd wonder goal too but i'd have him as a winger, not a RB. Maybe he's being signed to play higher? I'm not convinced with this at all. He's also 30. Not a good move.
-
I'd love to see Tottenham play the high line against a team like Man City. Dunno why, i still quite like AVB but i have no idea why, all he did with us was fuck our whole team up, act like a strict school teacher and sleep at the training ground the obsessed ... ah i dunno, he just seems such a nice person, has that 'feel sorry for him' factor or maybe i'm just weird. Tottenham to come 10th after player revolt.
-
What's he ever helped Arsenal win anyway? I'd hate him to join City but i would laugh somewhat if it happened.
-
If we don't sign Hulk, it's a big chance wasted and a huge fuck up imo. Nobody goes for what they're worth nowadays anyway, we have money, we have tradition, we have the Champions League trophy in our possession, we have many Portuguese speakers, slightly less now but still have our Brazilians. Just pay the money and fucking well get him. On a side note, i'd prefer Debuchy over Maicon all day. After seeing what Bale did to Maicon (twice) i never want to see Maicon anywhere near us. I'm aware of the season Debuchy had last season and he looked very competent in the Euro's and he's at a great age. It's not even worth thinking about that choice. but... This is the Hulk thread, i definitely would like to see Hulk come here.
-
Just be happy he's leaving those fuckers. I doubt he'll join a rival of Arsenal but tbh i'll just be glad if he got the fuck out the country like Ronaldo and Fabregas did. Be happy not to see him (much) again.

Torres has had many good performances without finding the scoresheet and there is no way Torres get more love than Lamps, JT etc. Lamps, JT, Drogs, Cech, Cole etc have proven without debate that they are true Chelsea legends so these debates don't happen. Torres has struggled in his Chelsea career and we're backing him because we want him to be a Chelsea great. We all know what Torres can do and i personally will back him to the hilt.
