No need, he's already a coach basically. Just keep giving him a new contract. He's a great guy and fantastic around the club. He's basically the perfect squad player.

Even after it had gone in, no appeal at all. You'd think, even if he was onside, a team throwing away a 2-1 lead would at least try n appeal, i mean it was such a huge moment in the game. I still think we would've gone on to win the game anyway, we battered them in the 2nd half but i'm sure reading woulda been desperate to at least hold on for a point. Anyway, glad they didn't appeal.

I think Mikel has been the problem. Mikel is supposed to break up the play and use his dominant physique. Lampard is there so start the move and look for the early killer ball. Mikel has started the season so badly that he's putting more pressure on Lampard and Lampard, as a 34 year old, can't be doing everything in there. I don't think Frank is in the wrong position, just Mikel is playing like a total twat next to him.

The funny thing about the Torres goal was that not one Reading player appealed for offside. They can moan now but if they had all stuck their hands up, he might've flagged but they gave the lino an easier decision. Only 2 days rest tho and we're back on it but the players should still be buzzing from yesterday, it might be a good time to play especially with the comeback and the mistakes fresh in the mind, there will be a big focus to be better at the back and i'm sure concentration levels will be higher after yesterdays scare.

Torres was crap but he scored. He's had many very good games and not scored so if he evens that all out, that's gotta be a good thing. He did do some good things today but yeah i'll admit he pissed me off a lot. He still looks a bit desperate to score rather than thinking he will score but today, he did score and from a striker, that's all that matters. He needs all the luck he can get. He got lucky today, hopefully it helps him. With Eden 'The Genius' Hazard in the team, he's bound to get chances like he had with the header. he was shit but nearly scored 3.
-
lol i actually got a McAnuff and Ashley Cole assist today. Hope that Tottenham stick with Defoe and score 5 against WBA and lose 6-5.... Oh wait, i have Kyle Walker too. Oh well, real life comes before dream team, come on West Brom!

I don't get half the people who watch football. I mean ok so Reading scored 2 goals but it doesn't mean we were shit. Our attacking play was very good and i thoroughly enjoyed watching it. The worry is at the back but they scored a great goal and a very lucky goal. They coulda scored 2 or 3 more but i'm sure the defence will sort themselves out in time. As long as we keep winning, all is good. We got lucky of course because Torres' goal was blatantly offside but that doesn't mean we didn't deserve to win because we did, no two ways about it. Federici is having a nightmare start to the season tho poor fucker but Cech's mistake was much worse today. We played very well today, don't be so negative. The defence will get better and the attacking is really exciting especially with Hazard at the forefront of everything. He's gonna be an absolute star for us. You may not think it now, but this is the best thing that coulda happened today. We've now already had a real test, losing 2-1, at home needing to score a couple to win to then come back and do the job will give everyone so much confidence. Also it's great to get the mistakes out the way and win at the same time because those mistakes from Cech and the awful passes from Lampard wont happen often. Sometimes you need these games to wake you up and give you the kick up the arse. We've now had that needed kick so now lets push on and get ready for the weekend, only a couple of days rest so we'll go into the Newcastle game still buzzing. This was a great game for us to have, seriously. We are top of the league

Tottenham just signed Adebayor, City have striker coming out of their ears. If any club needs Llorente, it's surely us. He's Spanish too
-
it's a good move for Josh, hopefully now he will show everyone who he is and how good he is. Nice tweet from Ash too, he went to Palace as a youngster on loan, he knows what it's all about. It's about time Boro stopped being shit too... 'mon the boro.
-
Ok.... so let me get this straight. I swapped Aguero and McAnuff for Defoe and Bale, losing 4 points in the process which is fine, i had a shit gameweek anyway, that's cool but now Tottenham have just re-signed Adebayor which means Defoe probably wont even play at the weekend now!! Might just use my wildcard early lol this is already a disaster!

I still remember the day he left, i even remember being at work texting everyone saying "WTF?!" No matter the situation, i'll always want him back here, i'd welcome him back tomorrow if i could. As i see it tho, we're building for 2 years until Robbie's contract is up then Pep will take over and make our players the best team in the world. After Pep is bored again, making us so good that we can't go any further, someone else can have a go, maybe Franco. I don't think Jose will be our manager again but i'd love him to be part of the club again, even tho in my mind, he will always be part of the club anyway.
-
Fact = When Robbie replaced Andre, Sturridge played less and played worse. When Sturridge played under Andre, he was very good.
-
Before that 3-1 in 2011, we beat them 5 times in a row (hence me making my Sig ). We aint beat them in 3 tho, losing 2.
-
Maybe he'll be the new Torres, knowing that Rooney is really their main man. Van Persie was a LW tho in his early days, maybe he will be that again for Utd but i think he has proved that he really is a striker now. Let's see how Fergie gets those 2 firing together like Carlo tried getting Drogba and Torres.
-
Well, we'll find out how we can do against Arsenal on September 29th. Not exactly looking forward to it. 5 weeks time, our first big test. I actually think we have the players to out play them now, just need to hope all our big players show up. So glad that the Song - Van Persie partnership is a thing of the past now. I think Arsenal have had a bit too much stick tho, i mean selling Van Persie who was in the last year of his contract for £24m and song for £15 is pretty good business. They had no other option really. Cazorla and Podolski are very good players and with Arteta in there too and Wilshere to come back, i still think they have a very good team. they just lack full backs, we really need to attack them when we go there, we could put a number of goals past them if our wide men play as they can. Could be like 6-4...

I watched him at Man City for Porto last season and i thought he was actually pretty good, just the rest of the team were shit and City won comfortably. Hulk showed some very nice touches, he's quite nippy for a big guy and has a lot of ability and pace. This was all coming from the right side. I think he will be used on the right as we dont actually have a natural right sided player. All of our 'number 10's' are left wingers except Oscar so we need someone who knows how to play there. If you're good enough, it won't matter if you're predictable. Cristiano Ronaldo was a right winger at Man Utd then they turned him into a striker. At Real Madrid he's a left winger and despite being very right footed, he's still very hard to stop. Ronaldo does try n use his left on occasion, Hulk should try more to use his right. Football is changing so much now tho. It used to be the right footers on the right and the left footers on the left and their jobs were to run down the touch line and put crosses over. Now it's the complete opposite. I would like to see more interchanging going on, making it hard for defenders to settle. If we got Hulk and had him and Hazard on each flank, i'd love to see them swap positions every 20 mins or so to give defenders nightmares. What we could do with however, is a natural wide man that can use both feet instead of being predictable. It doesn't matter what side you play, if the defender knows your stronger foot, you will always be predictable. Nobody is as predictable as Robben tho...
-
I just threw away 4 points and put Bale in. Aguero is certainly out until September at least and we get a transfer every week so when he's back, i'll put him back. Meanwhile i'll keep switching strikers to who has the easiest home game every week lol. Not saying Tottenham have an easy game against WBA tho but on paper, they should win.
-
Don't think there's anything illegal in smashing the ball up to a target man. Football's football, regardless how Everton played, they were the better team last night and thoroughly deserved the win. If you don't like how a team plays, do something about it. We used to terrorise Arsenal the same way with Drogba and they moaned too, waaa waaa waaa piss off. Play to your strengths, fuck the purest shite. I'm looking forward to watching Stoke terrorise Arsenal with that at the weekend
-
2 things i noticed. 1) Anderson has put weight on, he looks really chubby 2) Vidic is a thin, seems as tho he's lost weight, a bit too much. The big physical beast Vidic is no more.
-
I'm fucked, i had Aguero as captain which fucked me straight off the cuff. I've now replaced Aguero with Defoe knowing that Tottenham play WBA at home and he;s their only striker but have £4m to spare and can't make another transfer or i'll lose 4 points. might just go for it tho, i mean 4 points aint much is it? Don't really wanna play my wildcard already. I think i did well tho leaving Carrick and Kagawa on my bench.
-
Funny how the commentators, think it was Alan Parry in particular keep on saying how brilliant Kagawa was... what did he do? He was more scared than anything, got the ball, passed it, looked comfortable but showed no desire to actually go the next step and do something. Nice on the ball tho but more suited to West Ham at home rather than Everton away. Have Kagawa in my fantasy team and Carrick, left em both on the bench, this isn't the game for good footballers. Been a great few days tho, other than City digging themselves out if a hole, it's been near perfect. Man Utd, Liverpool and Tottenham all lost. We've not lost an opening game since 1998 against Coventry. Well, we never used to win there, they beat us on consecutive opening days in 1997 and 1998. I still remember how unlucky Casiraghi was in that game, Hedman had the game of his life, fucker. We have to now beat Reading and make it a great week.
-
I hope this happens so much now seeing the other strike forces in the prem. We need to keep up and we need to show that our intentions are to win this prem and not target the top 4 like fucking North London dirt. Hulk can play anywhere in the front 4, i still think that Torres will be the main striker tho regardless but we do need Hulk or Cavani, another big name forward. I'll be so happy when it's done.
-
Said it for ages. He played behind the striker today but you just know he could play holding role too, he could play anywhere he is that good. That's the 2nd best i've seen him play, the best was in the 4-4 at old trafford against them again. All the big teams need to really consider this guy, he's a fucking beast. This is Man Utd we're talking about and he completely owned them. They backed off him, they were shit scared of him all game but what could they do about it? Absolutely nothing. Phenomenal display.
-
Funny reading the first page of this. So we've been linked with him for 5 years, this thread has been open for 5 years.... wow. Even before he went to Tottenham. Just go to Madrid so we can close this already lol.

they look alright i suppose....
