  2. After watching Lukaku yesterday, we should just stop now and wait for next season because Lukaku is fighting to get into our team. He sent out a BIG message yesterday against AVB and Tottenham, our rivals that he means business and he's ready. If we're gonna by a back up striker, get one cheap or use Moses, Marin or Hazard up front if Torres and Sturridge get injured. I can't wait to see Lukaku this season now for the remainder of the campaign. There's no way that we're gonna spend stupid big money on a striker now imo. Torres will be number 1 striker, we only play 1 anyway, we ain't gonna spend upwards of £20m for a bench warmer. If we sign Llorente, we may as well sell Lukaku.
  3. I was never too sure about him but yesterday convinced me that he's an exceptional player and should be playing at a bigger club. He showed so much yesterday. Great control. pace, strength, dribbling ability ... I knew he was good but i was more than impressed in what i saw yesterday. Absolute beastage performance.
  4. Thoroughly enjoyed today. went down the pub with my Champions of Europe t-shirt on knowing of course that Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal were playing. Went with my gooner mate to enjoy the double header. The first game pissed me off because Stoke didn't bother, they didn't get about Arsenal or make it hard for them, i was expecting an Arsenal goal any minute. Where was Stoke's physical intimidating style? Fuck sake. Anyway when it got to 30 minutes gone, i was thinking if they don't score in this half, Stoke wont play as bad in the 2nd half and for Arsenal's first half dominance, they did indeed fail to score. The 2nd half was just plain boring, Giroud looks pretty shit atm but time will tell. I was happy with 0-0 tho, 4 dropped points in 2 games is worse than a win and a defeat. The Liverpool game was epic. I wasn't really too bothered who won because i dislike both. A Liverpool win would've been more beneficial but anything else would mean trouble for Liverpool which is never a bad thing. When Skrtel played that back pass i just laughed lol i found it pretty funny that all of Liverpool's hard work had been wasted like that. Liverpool were by far the better more comfortable team but 2-2 = 2 dropped points for both. Happy days. Points dropped: Liverpool 5 Tottenham 5 Arsenal 4 Man Utd 3 Man City 2 After 2 weekends, i am more than satisfied at what's gone on thus far.
  5. 300 pages, wow. As for going down easy... everyone does it. Arsenal and Man City are playing today, you'll see a lot more lol. Football has become win at all costs.
  6. The Physique of the man! We've just basically bought Lukaku again but one who's got more premiership experience. After seeing Lukaku yesterday, i can't wait to see us play him and Moses and Terrorise some poor back line one day.
  7. That's what i keep telling myself. Had Bale as my Captain, Defoe and Walker. Defoe had a goal ruled out for offside, Bale was awesome in the first half but they just couldn't score and Walker conceded in the last minute. I've had no luck so far but in real news.... Chelsea are top of the league. Tottenham are suffering and Liverpool are bottom. Need Tevez to score, Arteta to score and Arsenal and City to keep clean sheets as i have Vermaelen and Lescott too. In real... i want Arsenal to get stuffed and City to draw. Can't have it both ways lol.
  8. Josh really does have a chance of making it here. He's been on the brink for a couple of years now and still has a chance. You can feel that Kakuta for example will leave because every time he gets close, he then performs badly and goes further away but Josh has always played well when he's played for us and has always stayed in the frame. He has the game to really break through. Oscar won't be left out tho, we spent £25m on him altogether so he will be a big player for us soon but Josh really has a chance.
  9. Torres has always been one to go down a bit easy, Hazard is the same i've noticed but they were genuine fouls. When you're running and you're clipped, it's not that easy to stay up. I thought he dived for the pen until the 3rd replay or so and i thought he dived when he was booked until a few replays again. Both were genuine fouls. He has a bit of a reputation. There are players going down easy in every match you'll see in todays football. Anyway i thought Torres was ok yesterday, not great but not bad. His goal was quality, that's 3 in 4 if you count the CS. That's the Torres we have been hoping for for 2 years. I just hope so much that he can continue this goal scoring form.
  10. Southampton will go with Norwich and Reading. I just can't see any of them surviving. and lol Liverpool really are in trouble. Rodgers may be sacked before xmas. Hope they beat Arsenal tho.
  11. Well Liverpool are bottom but they wont be there for long, they have 2 easy home games next. Man City and Arsenal.
  12. Strange game really, the performance wasn't breathtaking but efficient and when the 2nd goal went in, that was it. I'd be pretty p'd off if i was a Geordie today because they didn't really show any real effort to get back into the game, they just wanted to go home. The rain did ruin the game a bit but glad Hazard is still running the show. 6 assists and 1 goal in 3 games.... that's mad and great for Torres too! Job done, Super cup on Friday and a nice 3 week premiership break. Nice to have a break with a 3/3 record. Great start.
  13. I don't know if anyone watched the Yid - WBA game but i did and West Brom were absolutely brilliant and Lukaku was awesome when he came on, he caused so many problems to Tottenham, was so, so good to see. Tottenham bossed the first half, Bale was the main man but then for some reason Bale went inside more in the 2nd half and he barely got a kick. WBA dominated huge parts of the 2nd half and thoroughly deserved something out of the game. Have that Andre!
  14. lol unlucky. Now u know how pissed off i was when my Captain (Aguero) was stretchered off against Southampton after like 10 mins, he's bound to have scored a couple. Your case is rather funny tho, i must admit but he'll probably come on at 3-0 and score 2 anyway...
  15. Deservedly so. Rooney can't just expect to be shit and keep playing because of who he is. The Van Persie signing is gonna make it interesting. I can see Rooney crying off to Barca or Madrid next summer. The way Man Utd play, doesn't really fit both into the team unless RVP converts back to a left winger or if Rooney played behind Van Persie but then where would Kagawa go? Let's hope they implode like how bad we got when we signed Torres with Drogs still here. Anyway gonna watch Tottenham - West Brom.
  16. A Britain league would kill the Scottish, Welsh and N.Irish teams even more really because of how dominant the English teams are. Also it will re spark the whole independent country debate.
  17. I was very shocked when i heard it yesterday, it seems so tough on him but there must be something in it because you don't just strip someone without proof. Losing 7 Tour de France titles is so much you'd think he'd fight it but maybe he knows he's guilty. It's a mad situation.
  18. If we were away today, i'd be satisfied with a draw.
  19. I wouldn't take a draw today because i know it's a game we really can win. I'd be a bit frustrated with a draw because we need to be more ruthless in these types of games. If we were about to go to the Emirates, Old Trafford or the Etihad, i'd say gimme a draw but not at home to Newcastle. A draw is possible but we should win the game imo.
  20. I think Ramires will go back to the deeper role and Sturridge will go back to being a striker no we have Moses. We have all the cover we need now to be honest. I was impressed with Danny when he came on against Reading, think he looked bright and lively. If we don't buy any more players now until January, i'm quite content. I'm sure Hazard, Mata, Moses and Marin can all play up front if needed anyway. Not ideal but Sturridge is a striker at the end of the day and he proved he can score at this level with Bolton albeit with a pertner up front. I'm not really sure he can do the lone striker role. He scored a lot of goals last season under AVB when he played. I reckon if he had a run of games, he'd get goals.
  21. This is the first time i really want Tottenham to win with style. With Walker, Bale and Defoe, i need some points you yid bitches. I'm still in the top 50 tho in .... yeah 49th noooo and i also lost my H2H against Nicola!
  22. I woulda taken him but he's gone to the team he and all his family support. I hope he does really well there because it's nice seeing players joining the team they loved when they were young. Sunderland with Fletcher and Johnson and now a level up from what they were just yesterday. I wish THAT Sunderland team had gone to the Emirates at the weekend altho tbh woulda still been happy with a draw. They look a dangerous team now tho, look forward to seeing them.
  23. Welcome to the best team in Europe Victor Moses! Can't wait to see him play now and hopefully terrorise Atletico Madrid in the Super cup. So exciting to see all these youngsters come, we could have the same team in 5+ years, such great potential in every signing we've made so far. Very exciting times. Now we just need an out and out striker and we are sorted. We have genuine quality everywhere for the first time in a long time.
  24. As a Nigeria international, Mikel will know him very well which is also good for Victor as he already has a mate and some other Africans to have some banter with. I've always liked him, he's got great physique and technique and i've always liked his direct approach. He plays with no fear and again he's very young. That puts our spending to around £80m. Loving it!
  25. Really glad we got him. I don't know him too well but if i had to go with the TC fans, he seems the TC fans first choice and has been for ages now lol. Another guy under 23 years of age, a very good signing indeed. We've covered all positions now except striker and i look forward to see him play. Another Spaniard too, very nice.
