  1. Maddest thing i've ever heard. Unbelievable.
  2. No matter how bad our seasons can get, we always get to Wembley. 3 days after the away game in Moscow though? Not great. I know Rubin are a very fine team but we need to beat them 3-0 at home and try our very best to kill it in 1 game.
  3. The picture of Ba kissing the ground is funny, it's like Hazard and Oscar are trying to stop him. "Don't eat that grass, it's poisonous!" We've scored 10 goals against Man Utd this season... still 1 game to go
  4. Played well and deserved to win. They coulda scored a couple and we coulda scored more also. Better team won and i'm glad even they know that. So proud that this team continually fights for everything available. Was thinking about it a lot today and maybe i was harsh the other day because we do fight for everything. Arsenal always qualify for the top 4, that's because they basically sacrifice all the trophies for it. If we did it, we'd always come in the top 3 but the best teams fight for everything and the best teams win trophies. The club and the players have shown a lot of desire and i salute them for that. Just wish our fringe players were a bit more ready to step in than they have been recently, especially last Saturday. I love this team and whatever the outcome is for the season, at least they've given everything.
  5. Mourinho's record against Fergie makes me smile more.
  6. We've done great in the last decade yes, but with stability we would've done even better and dominated English football like Man Utd have done. That's my opinion. We'll never know just how good we could've been. It's been a great ride though.
  7. Gonna watch the highlights on ITV in a min. I was at work, i checked my phone just twice. First when the 2nd half was under way, about 50 mins and saw when we were 1-0 up. I was so nervous knowing we were 1-0 up and working but i tried to shut it out. I then very nervously checked the score at 2:30 and when it said F/T 1-0 i was in the best mood ever, it was a feeling i've never really had at work lol. Seen the goal and the save and both were immense. What a huge win, a win that had to happen after what happened on Saturday. Back at Wembley, such a great feeling. Tough, TOUGH game though but we've been here plenty of times recently. Its on! Full highlights on ITV NOW!
  8. Villa were ok, they played better than they did against QPR but just fell away a bit. If they play like that for the rest of the season, they'll be fine.
  9. Ivanovic was at fault for the first goal yesterday by completely ignoring Rodriguez's run in behind him but all in all they did ok. There was obviously nothing they could do about the FK, Cech practically gave Lambert the whole goal to aim for. Rubbish goalkeeping. I do feel a lot more comfortable when Luiz plays, wherever he plays and i never thought i'd say that. We missed Luiz yesterday, i love the way he drives the team. Future captain imo.
  10. The only talent he showed yesterday was how to go invisible in front of over 20,000 people. He should work with Dynamo.
  11. We need to win 6 out of the 8. Whatever happens, at least it's exciting and it's what the neutrals love. It's what football needs, battles like these. And secretly, deep down, we love it really.
  12. I really like this Villa team. If they stay up, they have the makings of a great future. They have the perfect manager and a lot of very talented young players, which their youth team is still producing now. Even if they go down, if they keep everything they can benefit like Newcastle did. Newcastle lost a few players when they went down but they kept a very good core. Bright future for this Villa side. If they stay up, i'll predict a top 10 finish for them next season. Their players have gained priceless experience this season.
  13. If we do fail to make top 4, and tbh it is getting increasingly likely, then we must focus purely on the league next season. Play the kids in the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League. Forget them cups for a season entirely. Focus purely and solely on a title challenge and make 10000% sure that we make the top 4 next season. We may be ok for one season but we can't make a habit of it.
  14. I think we'll win, i really do but see the thing is, these games are only really important if you win the competition. We can win and then City could beat us then it suddenly means nothing and says that we wasted a game and shoulda played full strength against Southampton. If we're gonna rest 7 players yesterday because of Mondays game, we have to win Mondays game, it's as simple as that. Losing tomorrow defeats the whole object of what happened yesterday. We'll come out strong tomorrow i'm sure of it with a high tempo but if we lose it wont be a disaster because we've won it 4 times in 6 years and we can then take a couple of games away and concentrate on the league more. Top 4 is priority this season!! I am in 2 minds though because i love to see us win trophies, it's a great feeling and day out but do i want to see Rafa win us trophies? And be in the pictures and for us to improve his CV? I'm not really so sure. It was like us saying did we really want Avram Grant to be the manager to win us our first European Cup? Thank fuck it was someone like Roberto Di Matteo.
  15. There's no point going backwards just to go forwards when we can qualify for the UCL this season and go forwards straight away earlier. I know Tottenham and Arsenal fans personally and i don't want to listen to their shit. I as a fan want what's best for me too and after being the first Champions League winners to be eliminated in the group phase, to then not qualify would be bad for the club. We'll then get another manager to sack after a year who nobody really knows or is sure about. I understand all of the points, i really do but with the players we have and the money we have spent since 2003, we should never be coming 5th or lower. Yes we'd like to recover like Bayern did but there's no guarantee of that.
  16. Qualifying for the UCL is massive, no matter how anyone tries to say otherwise and if we don't qualify this year, we're in trouble. It's not about the money or the players we can buy, it's about the club, the fans and the players we already have. The Hazard's and Mata's, Luiz's, Oscar's of this world will get restless and might start making noises that they want to leave and that's the last thing we want because our future currently looks amazing if we can get the last couple of pieces in the jigsaw and qualify for the UCL for next season. We want to get better and bigger as a club and progress. Failing to qualify for Europe's elite competition will send us backwards. That's not good for our future, our fan base or our worldwide brand. And what about us, the fans? The loyal fans who spend lots of money and time on this club to be the best. The fans love to have bragging rights, we want to be proud of our team and to be able to gloat and brag about what we've done and not have the piss taken out of us by yids n arse fans saying how much money we've spent in the last 10 years compared to them, yet they're in the Champions League and we're in the Europa fucking League. We can't have that. If we come 5th, i'll be gutted. And also there are more games in a UEL campaign than a UCL campaign i think, no? It's better to come 6th if we're not gonna come 4th. If we don't make top 4, we need to just hope that our players stick with us. If this exciting Chelsea future never happens and never gets to the level it should, i'll be so devastated. Oh and also we can all forget about Mr. Mourinho coming back if we fall outside the top 4. There is absolutely nothing good whatsoever in not qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
  17. Hoping Man Utd win the title at the Emirates too, that would be sweet and a bit of revenge for 2002. If our game against Yids is moved, it's gonna be interesting to see when it happens. It could be a straight shoot out for UCL football and what we did to them by winning the UCL last season, they'd be so motivated for that. I'd be worried.
  18. Beating Arsenal in the semi has just made all of those boys legends for me already. Our youth record since around 2008 has been nothing short of sensational, just a shame they will all probably be plying their trade elsewhere in the future because of what we are now. Villa also have a very sound youth system and it will be a very hard final. What a wonderful tournament it would be to win. And look of the names we've beaten. Fantastic achievement.
  19. Can't see Ronaldo ever wanting to come to us and there is no way either will come if we don't make the top 4.
  20. He's not good enough at all which is a shame. Ash is trying his best with him, working with him on a regular basis but i just can't see him ever being good enough unfortunately. We should bring back PVA, i remember seeing him shine against Newcastle in a Carling Cup game a few years ago, his attacking threat is much better than Bertrand's although RB is maybe a better, safer defender. I'd love us to have PVA and Shaw in 2 or 3 years time.
  21. Flying atm? Before yesterday's game they lost 3 in a row conceding 8 goals. We need to just make sure we beat them. It will probably be the key game of the season.
  22. That's the thing now, these teams that have nothing to play for. It might also work in our favour. Liverpool probably have nothing to play for when we go there, Man Utd will already be champions, Swansea's season is over which is more annoying since they've laid down again both north london dirt, Everton last game could be meaningless for them. But then it also makes teams play with more freedom. I do think Tottenham may win all 3 too worryingly but the game we have with them is huge.
  23. Actually, looking at the table and the fixtures, Sunderland WILL go down this season.
  24. Tottenham's next 3 games are Everton (H), Chelsea (A), Man City (H). Obviously 3 very tough games.
  25. They beat Dortmund 4-1 away... weird team. He does love Hamburg though and yeah he's now close to his wife.
