His goal was vintage Torres, his miss was Vintage Kalou. He had such a great game imo and i swear to the god i don't even believe in that he is getting there but after looking so confident and good, his confidence took an absolute sledge hammering after that miss. I'm more nervous now after seeing the teams. If we lost to Man Utds first team, then ok, fair do's well done and look forward to the next game. Losing to this team and failing to score 2 or 3 would be a bitter pill to swallow for me, i don't think i'd be able to take it. I'm nervous simply because we genuinely should beat that team.

If i'm offered a draw now looking at that team, i wouldn't take it. Come on the boys, show some balls ffs!

If we can't beat THAT Man Utd team we have serious problems. That's the weakest back line and GK i've ever seen from them and their CMs are hardly intimidating. At least if worse comes to worse and we lose, it's only September and wont have any real impact like it did last year. We should go into this game with the pressure off a bit as all the talk as about them and City. How good is David Luiz? Play him in midfield and we'll see just how good he is. I think he's brilliant but being a defender takes away some things from him even if he see's himself as a defender he bloody well aint one. Come on Boss, Carling Cup midweek, play about.

Got to have Brani at RB, i don't trust Bosingwa at all in a game like this. We really do need to buy another CB with a bit of pace. I'd probably chance the Alex-Terry partnership although it's slow, it's strong. Having Brani, Alex and JT could physically do em.

My brother was a major JC fan, even used to have joecole10 as his password for everything lol but i did love him too. I've never really cared about players going to rival teams because that just happens in football, especially if he's released, what is he supposed to do? I still loved Poyet when he was a yid and i still even have a regard for Gallas because he was awesome for us and i appreciate all players that contributed for us which these players did. I wish we'd use him in midfield sometimes like in the CC to see what he can do there, he's such a great footballer but a rather dodgy defender. I seem to think his true potential isn't used when he's at the back. Ok... he's scored 3 goals for us playing at CB but he coulda had treble that. 2 of those goals were genuine class goals too, not from corners or scraps.

Harsh thread title tbh for 2 managers that were great for us. Hiddinks time is up to be our manager anyway, his last chance was when we all thought he'd join in July or whenever it was. Jose may be back one day in 'some capacity' and i'd love it if he was back but not as manager because i want AVB here in 5 years time still going strong, aiming for his 3rd prem and 2nd UCL or something. The "In any Capacity" isn't really fair. Should be as Manager because i'd welcome both back to the club with open arms and Jose is a Chelsea Legend.

No Chelsea fan should have a bad word to say about him, full stop. Sure i've had a few in threads or spare of the moment things when he's been off the pace but nobody has contributed more to chelsea than him since i've been alive. He knows we all love him but he doesn't need this shit. He's 33, he knows his career is coming to an end, he knows he's not what he was 5 years ago or even 2 years ago. He doesn't need our threads to tell him it. He probably only has 2 years left and it'll be a real sad day when he retires.
