  1. In all seriousness it'll either be the Abramovic Stadium, the Samsung Stadium / Arena or the Adidas Arena. It'll probably end up being a mega company and may even see us leaving samsung for a bigger richer company like a Russian Oil based one or something.
  2. Before the game i was happy with a draw, give me it and i'll take it but now after the match i'm so frustrated and annoyed because we deserved so much more. They were slightly better in the first half but didn't really look like scoring and i thought we were in decent control albeit a bit open. Second half we were brilliant, their goalkeeper turned into the best goalkeeper ever for 20 minutes but we got a great goal and we had to win the game. Whyu bring Kalou on.... i mean for FUCK SAKE!! WHY! he's so shit, he's completely ruined all the effort the boys by being an absolute cunt again, liability is such an understatement, i hope he's nailed himself with this real 'impact sub' cameo. Full credit to Valencia, they don't really have any superstars but they have some nice technical players and i wish em well both in the UCL and La Primera Liga but we really shoulda wrapped this game up 2 or 3-0 in that spell we had. Torres is like the unluckiest striker in our history, Ramires and Anelka (late) really had to have scored but messed up 2 easy 1 on 1's by firing it straight at the keeper and it just wouldn't go in. Their keeper was exceptional though i must say. All in all, great performance, very frustrating not to win but we should do the double over Genk and get through safely. Just wish we weren't so open at times however.
  3. Was so happy the way we played yesterday, albeit kind of open at times, it's exciting and we are actually cutting through teams like a knife through butter which we haven't done since that run at the end of the 09/10 campaign. AVB really is the man, he actually does have the balls to leave the likes of Lampard out and it paid dividends yesterday. The score coulda ended up like 6-3 but even with 10 men, we played the same way pretty much, we can handle losing a player because we have only 1 main striker anyway. 4-5-1 and 4-4-1 sets up in the same kind of shape, you still have a player on the right and left and 2 in the middle so the cover is adequate if you think about it. We're used to playing 1 up front and we know how to play 4 in midfield so i wasn't even worried when Nando did his Essien impersonation. Roll on Valencia away, i'd take a draw n run if i'm honest.
  4. Won £105.74 which was handy. Won £50.14 then went all or nothing lol, risky but paid off
  5. I'd like us to win it of course but i won't cry if we get beat. I'd only be upset if we lost a semi or final.
  6. Arsenal couldn't even win the Emirates Cup this season so yeah, i was secretly hoping for them away n do em 5-0 like we did at highbury in 99 enjoyed that night lol.
  7. It's only the Carling Cup, the FA Cup is the proper domestic tournament.
  8. Everton away.... Well, they'll wanna win it more than us as a club, i just hope our youngsters can give em as good game. Doubt we'll prevail tho but good test.
  9. Turnbull will probably keep his place tbh if Cech is ruled out. I didn't think the injury looked too bad but obviously it was lol. Think Frank will play, he looked good when he came on yesterday, he obviously knows he's gotta step it up a bit if he can. I'd love Romeu to play too, he's already shown he's ready for the big time but 2 games in 4 days seems unlikely to be fair. I think it'll be a good game to watch but we should have too much for them.
  10. Brilliant performance, first time i've seen him and very impressed. So cool on the ball, strong in the tackle too and even when he gave that bad pass away he quickly won it back. What a future he has.
  11. Schwarzer clearly didn't do his homework on Kalou's penalty. I knew he'd go there, he's only ever gone there for us lol. Ok he wouldn't of saved it anyway All in all, very positive display, i thought we was fucked really, we got a few injuries, used all our subs, was down to 10 men too, absolute fantastic attitude and spirit shown by all, was well impressed and went to bed happy. We had chances to win it, Malouda & Kalou really are doing themselves no favours if they wanna get back in the side and Lukaku showed a lot too, altho he looks too big Best player on the pitch was Oriol Romeu by a country mile, he looks exceptional. He's strong, he tackles tough and solid, he looks quick, he's composed, he really is the full ticket. He'll make that position his own soon. Round 4 here we come, bring on Aldershot or something
  12. Reading that and the Desailly piece, i feel a lot better about the future of our club and more positive. I also get the feeling Andre will be here for the long haul, i mean he woulda known Roman when he was here with Jose so he wouldn't come back if he knew he'd be treated like a cunt. Andre really does seem to have things under his control too. I'm very happy with our current situation and i do trust our Russian to get it right eventually to how he wants it. Our last few managers obviously just werent for him so i suppose it's best to get rid if he's not happy. I believe AVB is the man.
  13. So glad for him, another player that i firmly believe one day will be brilliant for us. Both goals were very good actually, always rated Chris Eagles too.
  14. There was a big difference between us last weekend and us in previous years. We used to be Solid, with players like Mikel, Essien, Ballack, Lampard and Makelele in midfield but this time it was a lot weaker but more technically gifted. I thought about Arsenal tbh, we did play like Arsenal when they played such nice football against the big sides but ultimately were not strong enough and therefore lost. I really don't know why Mikel didn't play on Sunday but we needed that steel in there to balance it and we didn't really have it. Lampard is almost at an end, Ramires is crafty, quick and skillful but couldn't kick snow off a rope, Meireles is technically sound too but not very big in physique and then it was Mata, Torres and Sturridge, again.... not strong enough. We played very well at Old Trafford but coulda eventually lost 5 or 6-1 because we could not get Rooney, Nani and most of their top players off the ball, i'd not seen Chelsea like this for a really long time. Now i know we had to go for it so gaps were inevitable but we were still getting cut through much too easily. I'm hugely excited by the future and our football but i hope we don't abandon the physical side of the game completely because we're renown for being a very tough team to score against and break down. Against Stoke, i was impressed greatly because we showed both sides to the coin, we cut them open and withstood everything they threw at us but against Man Utd we were fucking weak, Nani tore us to shreads if i'm honest and Rooney, when he came deep was just not getting tackled with any intent. I just hope we don't turn into another Arsenal but i genuinely believe we'll be fine because we do still have Essien and Mikel and can balance it up more than them. We missed Essien hugely on Sunday and Mikel really should've played. We're on the right path though to get a very complete team. This year may be a bit too early but this era is just beginning and i strongly believe in a year or 2+ we'll be a huge danger to everyone when the jigsaw is complete.
  15. Starting to like him more and more as the days and interviews go by. He's so clever, the kind of manager we've been after for for ages really. He just knows everything and he looks so in control. I just trust everything he does and he does things properly without pulling up mountains or making it all about him. If Roman keeps him for a few years at least, regardless of trophies, we'll be in a great position.
  16. Think Lukaku will start and Drogs will come on with like half hour to go or so. Seen AVB just now on SSN saying it's just gonna be about giving the youngsters a chance and that's what i love to see. I'm really excited about the game.
  17. Everyone misses, this will be Torres' only open goal miss for us so now it's out the way, this will make him even more determined to score imo and i have a feeling that his luck may just change after this. May be a good idea to keep the paper article and look back at it in may after Torres has scored the winner at Anfield to win us the title for his 20th goal of the season. Fuck sake i even remember Ronaldo missing an open goal against Sheffield united and look at his level, he went to Real Madrid for £80m! You could see he over ran the ball ever so slightly so he had to wrap his foot around the ball a tiny bit to bring it back but as a player not naturally left footed he struggled doing it easily as he was stretching for it a bit. There's no excusing the miss i know but there have been worse misses after player have actually missed straight in line with the goal or actually composed themselves by taking 1-2 extra touches and putting it on their favoured foot and missing! The miss will be remembered but when we play em at the bridge, he'll fucking redeem himself and he'll shut those fuckers up big time.
  18. He kneeled down, prayed, had a pretty shit game, didn't score and probably left the ground on crutches so happy days, little mexican prick.
  19. I wasn't even that upset about the result because i know we played well, just the Ramires and Torres misses pissed me off. We didn't do much wrong but what can ya do? Answer = Move onto the next game and forget it.
  20. We were just so unlucky, we started well when Ramires had an effort very early but then Man Utd just got so much luck, we all know they are a lucky team but today took the absolute biscuit! Obviously we all know what happened, first goal offside, second goal offside, although a great strike he shouldn't have been able to get the opportunity for the run and shot and the third goal was via one of the luckiest ricochets you'll ever see. Ramires missed a sitter which woulda made it 1-1 and i'm sure that was the biggest moment in the game. Torres was great and got a great goal and then missed an open goal but after that first half, we were never really gonna get anything were we? Man Utd are just having one of those starts and we had one of those games but the performance was excellent. There's are lot's of positives to take from the game because we really took the game to them and we looked very dangerous. Torres looks sharp again and we attacked very well. The downsides are that we were way too open and coulda conceded 6 and we looked rather weak, especially against Nani. We're not usually as weak as that, certainly when we had Ballack and Essien. Mikel was needed today imo ahead of Meireles. All in all Utd probably deserved 3goals or even more but so did we and we'll go back to London feeling hugely hard done by. Roll on 2 home games against Fulham and Swansea where we stuff both I still have a very good feeling about this season because any other day we woulda won, it was simply just one of those days. We'll get them back definitely. In Andre and Nando (and the rest of course) we trust. Heads up!
  21. It's wrong to vote for Torres as much as it's right to vote for Torres. Mata was good again, i fucking love this guy, inspired signing. Got to vote for Nando tho..
  22. Same as me, it took me till 7pm to realise we had actually lost.
  23. Right that's Weds, ok.... where do we go after that match today. Well first thing's first, changes. I fully expect lots of changes. Turnbull Ferreira - Luiz - Alex - Bertrand McEachran - Romeu - ??? Sturridge - Lukaku - Kalou I know you'll all say change the record but we really need Torres to play and score goals especially after today so i want him to get at least half hour too. If we get knocked out, so be it, but it would be awesome to see our kids have a run and get as much experience as possible.
