We need a quality central midfielder and 1 more winger imo. We need hulk or Hazard and we need a midfielder that has Lampards eye for goal. I really like Gylfi Sigurdsson, i've watched him closely a lot because i keep thinking 'Frank Lampard' when i see him. He is as close that i have seen to Lampard. He plays the same position, has the eye for a goal and a pass and he's so influential in what his team does. He's also very young and he wont cost much. I think he's a fantastic player and one that could rule our midfield for 10 years. He's apparently worth like 6-7m so get him now before he's worth 20m+

Bit shit that we have Newcastle before Liverpool really because it would be brilliant to have a nice week's break leading up to the game. Still worry about who gets injured and who to rest etc etc i've never known a schedule like it but we have to like it because we wouldn't wanna be in any other situation. If we want to win trophies, we have to stay in tournaments and we have done that. Ivanovic will be back, hopefully Luiz will be back too. Can play Malouda, can play Ramires because he didn't play much today and now even more faith with Torres too so we're ok atm but we do have a lack of quality midfield players. Meireles will probably deputise for Lamps and Lamps should play on Saturday.

Shocking, almost like the Clough scenario back in the day. Redknapp, for all he has done in the Premiership over the years is the best candidate in my opinion and probably everyone elses. Hodgson has a 38% win ratio with WBA, was sacked by Liverpool after a few months and relegated Blackburn in 1999. The FA have chose a cheap option and the one that no one expected. Ok so we had a fixture list of... Tottenham Barcelona Arsenal Barcelona QPR I was feeling more than just a tad nervous in truth. We've beaten Tottenham 5-1 at Wembley to reach the FA Cup Final, knocked Barca out the UCL to make the UCL Final, beaten QPR 6-1 with Torres scoring a hat-trick and are getting closer to the top 4. I am also edging myself closer i feel to Saturdays off work and there's maybe a possibility of me getting a UCL final ticket but wont hold my breathe. Anyway i'm feeling gooood!

Oh and special mention for JT too, he always scores when something happens to him lol, what a performance he put in and his celebration to tap the badge and apologise it seemed for what he did on Tuesday.

Brilliant performance, the passing was great, we created loads of chances and played some great stuff. Shame we conceded the goal towards the end and shame we didn't get 10 but it was a perfect day. Torres collecting the match ball for the first time in his Chelsea career and Hutch getting back onto the pitch was special. So happy If it wasn't raining and the pitch was perfect it would've been 10. And the fact it was Q.P.HA made it that bit sweeter. Also very happy with Bosingwa, Ferreira and Lampard. Mata was great too, Sturridge was a bit iffy but got a cracking goal. tbh i'm just very happy what i just saw. Roll on Weds, massive game. If we win n Yids fail to win today, we'll be 4th.

Barca and Real have different styles. Just because you knocked out Real Madrid doesn't mean you woulda knocked out Barca because that's not the same. If you had played 'football' against Barcelona, it woulda been the same score again just like if we had came out and played football and went at them. The way we played against Barca is the only way you can play against Barca and everyone is jealous because we managed to successfully do it.

They only seem to be talking about what we're saying, maybe some of them should actually talk about the game. It's not a huge derby, just because we're both in West London doesn't mean it actually means anything, just means we don't have far to travel whether it's home or away. At least when our 2nd team puts them closer to the Championship where they belong, they won't have far to go home, they could even take a lonely walk if they wanted. I don't care if they stay up tbh but atm i don't care so much about this game as i could because of the UCL. We have to rest players and try and win, it won't be easy, they are playing with decent commitment atm and have had good results. Opinions are great, we're a forum and that's what forums are about but anyone who doesn't want Robbie to have at least another season is nuts imo You can get or buy the biggest name in football but you can't buy passion and desire. I'm not optimistic but i am hopeful. I'm sick of reading all this crap that Bayern are better, Bayern are favourites, Bayern are at home, Chelsea play Anti-Football, Chelsea have a weak attack, Chelsea's suspensions are too much for them to handle, Chelsea only are strong in defence bluh bluh bluh bluh bluh crap bollocks. We played defensive against Barcelona, we had our game plan, we played to our strengths and we played to their weaknesses. Barcelona haven't beaten us in 7 matches since 2006, that's not a coincidence to me. I think the Barcelona games were the only times we've played like that all season but because the whole world watched it unfold, they all assume we play like this every game. Not true at all. We have great defenders so if we want, we can play like this. We had to do what we had to do to get through and guess what? We got through. Instead of 'neutrals' praising our defence, they focus on the attack. We played like that on purpose, we got lucky of course but that's life. The goal is big enough, if they can't find it, that's their problem, not ours. I like Bayern Munich, they are a good side and yes they are good going forward but Robben always looks to cut in and Ribery always goes outside, both are not trusting of their weaker right feet so if you keep em on their right feet, you stop half their threat because they are huge players for the team.... unless they dive for a penalty which they will try no doubts about that. I don't mean to sound like an arse but i reckon 80% of Munich fans think that Schweinsteiger's penalty won them the UCL, they think it's just all about picking up the trophy. Hopefully their team feel the same way because they'll be shocked if they think we'll focus only on defence because we wont. This is the biggest match in our 107 year history and the fact that it is very likely the last chance for Drogs, JT, Lamps, Cole and Essien, it's even bigger than just the biggest match in our history. It's a one off game, a very difficult game against a very good team but a 1 off game, do or die which we can win with the right attitude and homework done. It doesn't get bigger than this, this is bigger than England in a world cup final for example, this is the biggest match in football for ANY Chelsea player or fan.

How did Dortmund do in the UCL? Not great. If you smash us in the final well done but every munich fan deep down was praying for Chelsea in the final. I've read the forums, i've seen a lot of people saying Chelsea will be easy but i tell you, with the shit we've gone through since 2004, you'll need to put in your best ever performance to stop us from winning it this year. This is our time so if you do pull it off and beat us, congratulations to you and your team.

Bayern aren't better than us, football has many different aspects and they are better than us at stuff and we are better than them at stuff, just like us and Barcelona. They are a good team but imo with very predictable players and a very predictable attacking threat and if we do our homework properly, they won't cause us much danger at all. If we play like a bunch or idiots, those players are good enough to damage us however. They've come 2nd in a pretty average league, they only had one hard UCL opponent in a very tired Real Madrid team and we both had a far bit of luck to go through. I think too many are judging them because they beat Real Madrid. Bayerns defence isn't that great and they have actually lost 3 key players who have played like all season so they'll be uncomfortable and maybe even a bit disjointed. We're missing players too yes but we still have players who can come in and not feel uncomfortable. I'm only scared because of the occasion and the fact that no matter how close we get, we always find a way of going home without the trophy. I'm not worried about this Bayern team that much, just the fact that it's the biggest game in club football.

Nothing would beat us winning the UCL and Arsenal coming 4th. Nothing and i mean seriously nothing would beat that.

We can get 4th but i would prefer us to lose all of our last 4 league games and win the Champions League just because it would epically piss so many people off, especially the 4th placed lot.

It's great to get them now so they can have the whole pre season with us and get right into it without all the shit detractions during the Euro's of uncertainty and so many annoying rumours. Also it's nice to go for players who aren't being mentioned because it stops interest from other clubs. We don't usually get players like this out of the blue but i hope we continue like it because it brings much more stability to everyone concerned.
