Ha ! There was a similar one in Greece who was convicted last week, for publishing silly jokes about the monks of mount Atho. We certainly did n't use a Kalasnikoff gun against him though !

The April foolsters are approaching record levels. Now it's Suarez ! I told you how I was taken aback on my first visit to England seeing there were no club newspapers. I said "what, you don't have club newspapers ? then how you manage to become crazy on your own ? amazing !". Forty years later the press copied the idea and we see little red riding hood stories every day.

Fairly easy. City held. Also PSG lost 4-2 to Bastia after terrible performence (it was 2-0 to PSG then they conceded four).

Much as I 'd like to see all America's B52s taking off now and go to Syria, I 'd never publish cartoons that are offensive to the world's religions. I know it's not the time to say it, but this was always my opinion. From way back with that book "satanic verses" and the riots in London. It is however true that the jihaddists call all cartoons "offensive to religion", even when they are not. There is so much ethnic abuse around, from all and sundry against all and sundry. Should we create terror groups and kill each other until there is no one left ?

Newcastle are 2-3-5 away and we should n't feel terribly threatened. City visit the toffee ground, but the toffees perform woefully. A mystery of English football no one has ever solved for me: We played Newcastle on the 6/12 and the return match is on on the 10/1. What is the logic ? In all other leagues the return match was going to take place in May - given that the first took place in December. In older days I think there was not even first round-second round in England. So we could play say MU in August, then early in September, then next year again !

Why no tv ? I saw something of City before.
-
Why no tv ? Strike ?
-
no tv ??

We scored a goal as well. Any tv links ?

Bony impressed me last year. Is he in the same form ?
-
In their second our defenders were scattered around town. Also Cahill's peno was stupid.
-
City do not impressed me. Lost their 2-0 lead again, in the other one Burnley were not taking their corner kicks as if they were securing the CL final with the 2-2 draw. Today's result imho came about as a result of unnecessary overexposure and after the 1-2 we were chasing them. It was a Brasil - Germany situation in miniature. Germany against a savvy Brazil were going to have a hard time to get by, but Brazil thought they were playing against some amateurs. Something similar happened today. We did not try to slow things down a little when we were 1-0 up and Tottenham were obviously not useless as an opponent.

Some conservative tactics would n't hurt, especially after the 1-0. When you try to attack like crazy this kind of sh*t can happen. In the 2nd half we had our backs against the wall.

Happy new year ! & back Stoke in the betting in the duck-breaker, at 12.45 pm. !

Against UTD they showed something in the second half. United grew tired and was cut in half, with their forwards staying too deep and hence unable to work together with the midfielders. Spurs created one or two chances as a result but nothing spectacular. The clear chances were missed by United in the first half.

There is nothing wrong with high crosses, if you have tall guys up front and we do. The secret is to deliver them from as near the touchline as possible, which again is not beyond us. The old type hill billy crosses were called so because they were delivered from way back - and the defense has the advantage of the off side.
-
The ref denied Cesc one penalty or two ? Also in the United match was that goal line technology goal not given or was it flagged off side ?
-
All the high balls we tried were useless. With the ball on the floor we created situations but we were unlucky against walls of men.
-
United were crap against Spurs. Silly Burnley did n't want to win.

Houdini escape.

Proposal to the betting companies: Will Stephen Gerrard create a great scoring chance for the opposition in today's Liverpool match ?

Free live bet on the Liverpool v. Swansea match tomorrow. Liverpool 1.65 favourites. Is it really on they can lick Swansea ?

Well you know what it's going to be. Costa shoots, Southampton keeper saves, Costa shoots, Southampton keeper saves. If he makes twenty saves and they hit on the counter then they win.

2 day break and we 're off to the -resurrected- Southampton to finish the year. Last year Oscar made his ceazy theatrical performence there, but we won thanks to Torres. Today we missed a lorry of chances but it was a spectacular performence.
