  1. The plus points of having someone in charge for a lengthy period of time & unlimited funds. Chalobah has never good enough. His brief bright spot after his last loan spell seemed to fool a few, especially the board at the time.
  2. The fact Boehly already owns a sports team is mindboggling. City still have presence where it matters. Rodri being a key name.
  3. Any of the names mentioned would have done a better job than winless Lamps. Have you read the reports that there is literally no tactical work during training instead, Lamps is having therapy sessions with each player instead? You can't even laugh at the current mess we're in anymore.
  4. Napoli's penalty woes cost them again. Got knockout in the Coppa Italia on PK's and have missed multiple in this CL campaign alone.
  5. We started the second half in similar fashion, with the best chance falling to Kante for the umpteenth time. Chalobah showed his lack of IQ in gifting RM progression. It's not about whether he was right or wrong; the idea that Boehly actually thought he was the man to galvanise this squad is farcical.
  6. The fact that Boehly believed we had a chance of winning the CL only to go & hand that job to a man who said we were years away from competing prior to our 2021 CL triumph. Everyone thought it was easy to win something every year while Roman was here, but Boehly is making it look extremely difficult to even compete.
  7. We've made a poor RM side look decent over two legs. Chalobah with the killer blow. It will be a while before European nights return.
  8. That's debatable. Just look at his recent open goal miss, a few weeks ago. I have no idea what relevance that has. Any semi decent footballer is hitting that high and not take an age in the process.
  9. Cucu and Kante. We only have ourselves to blame.
  10. Get Gallagher off. Mount would be far more useful.
  11. The injuries have certainly caught up to him.
  12. Who's going to support him, the ghost?
  13. I'm ashamed of that attack. It's clear that either Sterling (most likely) or Mudryk were singled out by Boehly, but to not have the other play is mindboggling. This could potentially be our last CL game for a while. Sad sight!
  14. The moment Auba was frozen out by Potter, Fofana should have replaced him without question. Common sense is always lacking where player selection is concerned. Santos' working permit being rejected was a blessing in disguise.
  15. They'll make an example of them, just not the way some think like stripping them of titles, etc. Toney is still playing each week despite millions of violations. The FA is clueless most of the time but gets its way, to some degree, and I expect the same where City are concerned. As stated above, they'll be made an example of. The magnitude of the actual punishment is up in the air right now, so only time will tell.
  16. I'd imagine a mix of their original transfer fee and how much we'd save in terms of wages. Commanding a fee of even £50m for Lukaku will probably be a stretch as things currently stand. Using players as leeway for potential targets could prove to be our best bet for securing incomings over the summer. Why did we turn down loan offers in January?
  17. More than 100 "accusations"? Manchester City charged with breaking financial rules by Premier League - BBC Sport UEFA are one thing, while the FA are another. I'd be shocked if nothing sticks after a four-year investigation found 100 breaches. I wouldn't be so sure about that; just look at Juventus' recent sanctions - Why were Juventus docked points and what happens next? | Football News | Al Jazeera 9 times out of 10, the past catches up with people, one way or another. I just had to comment on your previous post, which took me by surprise. What happens elsewhere doesn't bother me in the slightest, unless the outcome has a direct impact on us.
  18. The same was said before they were knocked out by Monaco, Lyon, & Tottenham. Haaland isn't going to be the difference this year.
  19. One of the many accusations against City & PSG will eventually come back to haunt them. They've broken the law in order to unethically fund the squads they currently boast. I'm with you on the Arsenal stance, though. We might be local rivals, but I envisioned a potential league success for them being similar to Leicester's, which was short-lived. However, they appear to be on track to make more unwelcome history by throwing away another title, so this discussion will likely be irrelevant in a few weeks.
  20. I can only imagine a large number of outgoings, including players that we would normally be reluctant to let go (Broja, Gallagher, Mount, etc.). We're not in the same boat as years gone by, where there won't be takers for a host of our players, provided the club is willing to take a sizeable loss on a number of them, Lukaku being the main one.
  21. That's certainly high praise where Hojlund is concerned. I still feel another full season at Atalanta needs to go by to see if he can improve on his current figures. Osimhen is the striker we've needed since Drogba departed, as I've been saying for years, all the way back to when he was in Belgium. Costa contributed with Cesc, but he couldn't win games by himself like DD, especially in finals. We must put everything into acquiring Osimhen this summer if we don't want to face CF problems for the another 5+ years.
  22. League campaign is over, but in all fairness, it probably was after the Villa game. There's no hope for Tuesday.
  23. We've had the same issue for years. Stockpiling players in the hope of profiting on them.
  24. Why would they care when a large number of them won't be here in a matters of months and the rest know a new manager will be arriving.
