Moura's contributions this season - red card against Everton that cost them two points and a perfect assist to Jota that cost them another point. He's still living off of that night in Amsterdam.

Tottenham trying to outdo themselves after last weekend. 😄 Yes, during a 38-game season. He is currently tied for the overall record with Cole and Shearer, which, should he stay healthy, he will break and likely increase the current record by a few goals over the course of the next six games.

Sterling cost just short of £50m. I was against the signing from day one, but once again, those making such calls fail to see the blatantly obvious. As I stated in the previous post, the majority of signings under Boehly's ownership are for the future, which includes Mudryk as well. The business we did last summer was dire, and it's showing with us wanting to offload most before the season has even come to a close. Newcastle have completely different expectations, having just avoided relegation last season and playing this season with no European commitments to worry about. Let's see if the same players can deliver when the stakes are much higher. I take it that's based on his occasional appearances for us rather than for the Ajax side that reached a Europa League final in his debut seasons (providing 20 assists in 46 games) or the Ajax that choked in the CL semis (involved in 45 goals in 49 games). Your statement is very telling.

There are "fans" that are being interviewed on TV, saying they'd rather Lampard stayed. Most of these idiots won't be happy to have Poch around regardless.

I'm not sure moving Enzo higher up the field would necessarily be the right call, as I have reservations about his passing ability; however, I concur with the rest. I had hoped Mount could have filled that AMF/creative role, but he just doesn't have that killer instinct. The fact that Ziyech is the most creative attacker (passing-wise) we have is saying something.

Costa benefited massively from Cesc being in the team. If Costa was part of our current team, who would be able to find him? Our transfer business has been more than questionable for years now. We keep looking years down the line rather than addressing the spine of our side.
-
A number 9 might not solve the problem per se, but RELIABLE goal scorers will help drastically.
-
Did you look at today's line up? This goes beyond players. Sterling & Gallagher V Brentford!? I needn't say more.
-
This mess is on them. If they actually want to do something worthwhile, sack the non-league interim.
-
Azpi had a great cameo.
-
Havertz isn't even in the squad, and Fofana STILL can't make the matchday team. I'm actually speechless at this point.
-
We really can't afford for him to have a decent start only to throw his toys out the pram like last time. Keep vermin away from our squad.
-
I hope D.Fofana is in the match day squad at the very least.

I guess someone who is known for being outspoken to some extent has something about them. Poch could be further from that, from what I've heard. These are managers I necessarily want at the club, but Simeone or Zidane are names that would go against that notion and certainly not be accommodating to HT meet and greets. If that were to actually transpire, it would be this "project" they're trying to build out of the window and drastically decrease the say Boehly currently seems to have.
-
Is there any chance of that happening, though? Everything points to a yes-man coming in without any real success behind them.
-
It's the same thought process that went through people's heads when Lampard's name was brought up again. Anything these owners decide to do shouldn't surprise you at this point.
-
If Milan don't win the CL this season, we should be all over Maignan. He's the best GK that's obtainable, with a decent amount of European experience too.
-
21 minutes to be precise. That surely has to be a PL record? Edit: Second-earliest. City did it even quicker against Watford in 2019.
-
That's humiliating.
-
Pep doesn't hang around. Mahrez might have scored today, but I'm shocked he's back to the front of the queue considering his PK record. AFCON 2022 and West Ham away last season come to mind.
-
Haaland replaced as City's PK taker? That's certainly one thing City don't have going for them. I can't see Newcastle dropping down tbh. More chance of United with their injuries & recent form.
-
It doesn't matter how bad your defence is most of the time when you have attackers that can score, one of whom is among the best in the world.

I mentioned in the post above we were top by some margin under Tuchel before vital players got injured. Poch was at spurs between 2014 and 2019 - His targets during those years weren't to win titles. I'll reiterate that any appointment will be asked to win titles within 16–24 months, which is something I can't see Poch being able to deliver.
-
How many points clear were we under Tuchel before a bad run of injuries? The lack of smart buys held us back. However, it seems like that and poor ownership will do the damage. The above touches upon this issue. Spurs objectives aren't comparable to ours unless Boehly has other things on his mind.

Last I checked, this season aside, our aim has always been to fight for honours on all fronts, so mentioning his top 4 finishes with a side known for having low expectations means literally nothing. If Poch joins, we're settling, & people better be prepared for what comes with that mentality.
