An investment chosen by the previous ownership, not the manager in charge. The point still stands. All right. I concur with the former, but I still hold to my prior opinions regarding the latter. He is superior to what people believe, as he has demonstrated at City.

Letting Giroud go has to be up there as one of the worst decisions in recent seasons. His recent achievements for the French NT & for Milan go to show that.
-
That was exactly my point. I've always said and will continue to say so until there's evidence to provide otherwise—that most managers didn't get their main targets. A quick analogy: I want a can of Coke more than anything but would be okay with store brand lemonade if I were forced. I end up with the latter as a result. I didn't WANT the latter but will put up with it. The two options aren't equal. That was nothing more than a publicity stunt.

He publicly stated Lukaku was his first choice CF option? If so, please provide that quote while I prepare the humble pie for Iftar.

"Unrealistic list". It's apparent that the players that signed were most likely not first choices and, like those before him, were stuck with what he was given. Tuchel WANTED Hakimi. How did that turn out?
-
A Milan vs RM final would be ideal. The two most successful teams in the competition facing each other on Ancelotti's birthday.
-
It still mystifies me that people think Tuchel had a call on transfers like those before him. I personally believe Mourinho is the only manager during Roman's ownership who got the targets he actually wanted.
-
This discussion we had early on in the season dawned on me, so I wonder if your opinion has changed at all considering he's been an ever-present for Man City despite all options being available to Pep?
-
He has his heart in the right place, which is unlike most at the club judging by this season. Let's hope those making the decisions take note rather than having a word directly with him for saying what most believe.
-
That's the difference. Imagine if he was playing last night.
-
The plus points of having someone in charge for a lengthy period of time & unlimited funds. Chalobah has never good enough. His brief bright spot after his last loan spell seemed to fool a few, especially the board at the time.
-
The fact Boehly already owns a sports team is mindboggling. City still have presence where it matters. Rodri being a key name.
-
Any of the names mentioned would have done a better job than winless Lamps. Have you read the reports that there is literally no tactical work during training instead, Lamps is having therapy sessions with each player instead? You can't even laugh at the current mess we're in anymore.

Napoli's penalty woes cost them again. Got knockout in the Coppa Italia on PK's and have missed multiple in this CL campaign alone.
-
We started the second half in similar fashion, with the best chance falling to Kante for the umpteenth time. Chalobah showed his lack of IQ in gifting RM progression. It's not about whether he was right or wrong; the idea that Boehly actually thought he was the man to galvanise this squad is farcical.
-
The fact that Boehly believed we had a chance of winning the CL only to go & hand that job to a man who said we were years away from competing prior to our 2021 CL triumph. Everyone thought it was easy to win something every year while Roman was here, but Boehly is making it look extremely difficult to even compete.
-
We've made a poor RM side look decent over two legs. Chalobah with the killer blow. It will be a while before European nights return.
-
That's debatable. Just look at his recent open goal miss, a few weeks ago. I have no idea what relevance that has. Any semi decent footballer is hitting that high and not take an age in the process.
-
Cucu and Kante. We only have ourselves to blame.
-
Get Gallagher off. Mount would be far more useful.
-
The injuries have certainly caught up to him.
-
Who's going to support him, the ghost?
-
I'm ashamed of that attack. It's clear that either Sterling (most likely) or Mudryk were singled out by Boehly, but to not have the other play is mindboggling. This could potentially be our last CL game for a while. Sad sight!

Actions speak louder than words.

The moment Auba was frozen out by Potter, Fofana should have replaced him without question. Common sense is always lacking where player selection is concerned. Santos' working permit being rejected was a blessing in disguise.
