  1. What does his price tag have to do with his actions? If our players and owners have a serious issue with the video, I don't see how an apology will do anything. Have a look at what Mudryk did compared to Enzo.
  2. Clubs & organisations within this country try to take a tough stance against all types of discrimination. Have you actually watched an Italian or Spanish top-flight game recently? How others act is totally irrelevant anyway. As the saying goes, "get your house in order." If Boehly & Co. are people of their word, Enzo will either have to face serious punishment or be sold during this window. I'm still lost for words with such responses, which are trying to downplay what's happened. We're in 2024, not 1904.
  3. I hate to break it to you, but that's the problem right there. Enzo clearly seems to be having a fun time singing a "harmless 😐" song with his teammates. Any individual has to accept the consequences of their actions and take accountability.
  4. Let's not forget that we have a sizeable group of French players who are black as well. This runs deeper than some on this board seem to realise.
  5. Shouldn't you do research before using random images, then?
  6. It all depends on how stubborn our board is. Will they be more willing to ignore the wage structure (within reason) for a special player?
  7. Nothing less than £200k will entice a "top player" to join, particularly in Willliams' case as one of the stars of the Euros.
  8. First Mudryk, now him. When will common sense actually become common?
  9. He doesn't strike me as that type of person. Playing time is his main priority unlike Money Mase. Ah, okay. I wasn't aware of that. We should stand a great chance of getting him if we actually go all in.
  10. I thought they'd have an advantage having done business with them not too long ago (Tel).
  11. 100%. If Onana is going for that fee, the English tax alone should see CG going for that figure or more.
  12. Weren't Liverpool interested in him at one point & Thiago/Matip have both left the club. I wouldn't say anything is a foregone conclusion until the window shuts.
  13. Exactly. It's convenient how this "interest" comes about days after he scored. Anything for clicks.
  14. Villa have signed Barkley & are on the verge of (overpaying, IMO) for Onana. I can't see them wanting another midfielder.
  15. He's on INT duty. I'm sure things will heat up next week.
  16. Chiesa is supposedly available for €25m as his contract expires next season & he isn't part of Motta's plans. I'd be all over that if we were able to get rid of someone like Sterling. Basel will receive more money for a player who is no longer theirs than they will for Veiga. No one knows if Veiga will have a similar ascent. One thing is certain: based on his father's recent statement, he does not appear to be lacking in ambition.
  17. They have had discussions to move it multiple times, but FIFA keep doing everything in their power to prevent that from happening - Afcon 2025: Finals set for December 2025 and January 2026 in Morocco - BBC Sport
  18. A market that has so much potential. Let's hope we take full advantage of that.
  19. There's been talk of us still being interested in Osimhen & Conte's love for Lukaku, which is known to all. It honestly seems like a no brainer unless offering high wages for one marquee signing is too much, as things stand.
  20. It's hard to get a read on what the club actually want. I just hope there's more to whatever their plan is than loading up on youngsters from all across the globe.
  21. Is there anyone at Brighton who isn't liked? We need a CF. Why not make a move for that youngster called Welbeck.
  22. I feel like he's a system player. Would we have made a move for him had Poch remained? I guess whether this deal is viewed as a success or a failure will come down to Maresca's time at the club.
  23. Panama pipped USA to a WC 2018 place (as touched upon by Vesper), so I'd say they clearly have the upper hand.
  24. I'm shocked more clubs weren't in for him. He'll presumably replace Rabiot, who's set to leave.
  25. Fair enough for being honest. I despise it as well. The level at which a person performs within reason should have minimal bearing for the reasons you stated. Players have to start somewhere and evolve to become the players they are, therefore the unnecessary shade thrown bothers me. Imagine if Messi (at NOB) or Ronaldo were breaking onto the scene today. These supposed options are either constantly injured or, to put it bluntly, not good enough. If he played CB and RB, I would agree with you.
