  1. I was obviously trolling with the last one. It's just rough watching someone fail at the most important thing in football on a regular basis.
  2. Is Enzo going to be undroppable because of the armband? 😐
  3. Get Osimhen, Toney, or current R9. I can't be dealing with Jackson losing us points on a weekly basis.
  4. If we swapped him around with Nkunku, we might actually be winning.
  5. No one in their right mind should be giving Jackson the benefit of the doubt as CF (offside or not).
  6. That's always been the case. I really don't see a position for him in the starting XI against better sides. He doesn't offer anything of note at either end.
  7. The difference between Haaland & Jackson shown within 15 mins. No idea what Colwill & Fofana were doing.
  8. I can only imagine Enzo kept his cards close to his chest because of who the player is, unlike Chilwell & co. It's hard to see this situation ending any other way than a move away, most likely a loan.
  9. Enzo? I'm guessing you mean Caicedo instead, as the former has been a complete liability on the turnover. We've only seen flashes of Lavia in preseason after his long layoff. I'm still very surprised KDH isn't starting considering why he was signed.
  10. The manager has every right to pick the players he thinks are best for the squad. Sterling was present for the entirety of the preseason, so Enzo clearly saw enough & decided (hopefully) he's surplus to requirements.
  11. I'm worried about that midfield defensively. Enzo make big calls, which I can't say I'm disappointed about. Certain players just don't have a role anymore.
  12. The latter would probably command a big transfer fee unless we stupidly (IMO) offered Madueke in the deal. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if the Osimhen doesn't happen, we go again for Samu.
  13. Enzo Maresca ruthlessly tells Chelsea star he should leave the club (msn.com) Like it or not, it's refreshing to see a manager give a direct answer. His fitness issues, like many others, have played a big part in his failure to nail down LB, seeing who his competition has been.
  14. The FA/PL, I was putting them under the same bracket, but thank you for correcting me. Either way, the PL could try to save face rather than let it be known that City managed to get away with all of this for over a decade. I'm sure by the time whatever punishment comes their way, most of their key players will be long gone, including the manager (there's more to his timely desire to move on in the next year or so).
  15. There has to be consistency across the board with how the FA deals out punishments. If we do end up with a lengthy transfer ban as rumours have suggested, City ought to be getting the book through at them (I honestly can't see a world where relegation isn't mentioned should things be fair when it comes to the "do the crime, do the time" motto). Corruption will have well and truly taken over the British game (at least) if they get away almost scot-free.
  16. It's probably because of who they are and the EPL's lack of notable action thus far. Do the FA actually have it in them to make an example of City, or are the likes of Everton & Forest their main concerns?
  17. After a four year investigation from breaches going back to 2009. Might as well hand them another title in the meantime, then.
  18. If there's black & white proof of wrongdoing (the City investigation has seemingly been ongoing for years already), what can they dispute? Our situation is quite different seeing as it happened under previous ownership & we have cooperated whilst City knowingly hide stuff. Keep as far away from Brighton as possible.
  19. It's getting to the point where City will just continue about their business without any real punishment coming their way. It's farcical.
  20. Where have we heard that before - https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/Chelsea-fc-transfer-news-kepa-napoli-b1015891.html
  21. Their so called "project" is going to stop enticing players very soon (if it hasn't already). To be honest, I meant aside from results. According to a handful who have written here, they take a similar scattergun technique. However, as someone with minimal familiarity of the sport, the skill pool is small when compared to football. Boehly's odd words irritated me from the minute he took ownership. Unless something has changed, he understands very little about the sport and is attempting to utilise the same strategy, expecting similar results. How's it working out?
  22. They are nothing more than business people, and they continue to fail in that regard. I would have loved to have followed their journey since they took over the Dodgers.
  23. I'm getting this feeling some deals are only being done to accommodate the merry-go-round. Signing Felix permanently (someone Atletico has been unable to shift for years) when we have Nkunku & Palmer makes no football sense. As much as people disliked the possible Samu transfer, it may have made sense in the long run. This screams bust already. However, if any deal needs to be made that sees Sterling leave for good, I'm all for it.
  24. Osimhen can still have an impact for his team when he isn't scoring (just have a look at Nigeria's AFCON run to the final). That's what makes him different from the CF's you mentioned. We are awful defensively at the best of times, so just having a finisher would arguably put us back a step. Everyone is obviously entitled to their own views. It just makes me question how much they've actually watched of Osimhen, given the number of less than complementary remarks aimed in his direction. €100m - forget it. €40-60m plus Lukaku (massive wages off the books) or similar fee with an obligation next summer - a no brainer.
