  1. A market that has so much potential. Let's hope we take full advantage of that.
  2. There's been talk of us still being interested in Osimhen & Conte's love for Lukaku, which is known to all. It honestly seems like a no brainer unless offering high wages for one marquee signing is too much, as things stand.
  3. It's hard to get a read on what the club actually want. I just hope there's more to whatever their plan is than loading up on youngsters from all across the globe.
  4. Is there anyone at Brighton who isn't liked? We need a CF. Why not make a move for that youngster called Welbeck.
  5. I feel like he's a system player. Would we have made a move for him had Poch remained? I guess whether this deal is viewed as a success or a failure will come down to Maresca's time at the club.
  6. Panama pipped USA to a WC 2018 place (as touched upon by Vesper), so I'd say they clearly have the upper hand.
  7. I'm shocked more clubs weren't in for him. He'll presumably replace Rabiot, who's set to leave.
  8. Fair enough for being honest. I despise it as well. The level at which a person performs within reason should have minimal bearing for the reasons you stated. Players have to start somewhere and evolve to become the players they are, therefore the unnecessary shade thrown bothers me. Imagine if Messi (at NOB) or Ronaldo were breaking onto the scene today. These supposed options are either constantly injured or, to put it bluntly, not good enough. If he played CB and RB, I would agree with you.
  9. Bologna's chairman has said it's unlikely he'll go to Juve, so it's a free-for-all in the EPL. There really aren't that many options, tbh. Honest question, did you watch Bologna at all last season (finished in a CL place, btw)?
  10. I don't know who, but a number of defenders will be sold from here until the end of the window. I'd imagine there will be plenty of suitors in Italy. If there's one thing the current board won't do, it's buy first team players without deals already lined up.
  11. I'm unsure why there's some who believe Calafiori would be overkill. A great player for a reasonable price who can either play at CB or LB, a position we've been struggling to fill since AC retired.
  12. There's a difference between not wanting to upset the wage structure & flat-out not having the finances. If Mbappe had expressed a desire to join us, I'm more than sure the club wouldn't have been worried about offering £400k+.
  13. If that's the case, I'd rather have had a buy-back clause because if the sell-on fee turns out to be a significant gain, we'll have missed out on remarkable talent. Did we walk away from the Olise deal, or did he say no because we couldn't offer him CL football, which was key?
  14. It doesn't seem like it to me. Leeds reject a bid of £35m~ while we're accepting almost half of that for someone who was key in winning promotion.
  15. A tidy bit of business from Newcastle considering he never played a game for them.
  16. It's very surprising more clubs don't scout Africa (work permits?). There are plenty of players, old and young who would thrive in Europe. Kaabi is the latest example of that.
  17. Correct. The year they went to the WC & literally gifted Kane the golden boot.
  18. Don't they already have a player in Hall who they have yet to pay for?
  19. That seems to be the case with most, if not all, American owners in football. Kroneke, Gillett, etc.
  20. KDH & top club don't go hand in hand. If this deal does actually happen, it's nothing more than a stop gap. I had hoped that would be a thing of the past.
  21. I'm a big fan. I've been keeping an eye on him at Valencia for a while, and like most others, I'm shocked that nobody has really pursued him. My remark about my age was directed towards our transfer dealings as a whole. If Bologna really hold out for the figure that's been going around (likely to increase if Italy process), I don't see anyone in Italy being able to afford him.
  22. Ah, okay. I was a huge fan a few seasons ago, and he was my number one choice for a while. However, he hasn't been at the same level for a while, so a lot would come down to the potential package as to whether he'd be good value or not. I just really hope we sign someone who's first-team quality and over 27 this summer.
  23. It's hard not to get slightly excited about him and Estevao, tbh.
  24. He scored a PK to become the second youngest scorer in Copa America history. His celebration was "Ice cold." Palmer's influence within a year is noteworthy.
  25. I won't forget your report on Kvaratskhelia when he was probably an unknown to most in the world at that time. Cucu's recent performances has been a huge surprise. After the way his season started off, it's amazing that he's starting for Spain as well. Is this your personal preference or have rumours started to circulate?
