Bologna's chairman has said it's unlikely he'll go to Juve, so it's a free-for-all in the EPL. There really aren't that many options, tbh. Honest question, did you watch Bologna at all last season (finished in a CL place, btw)?

I don't know who, but a number of defenders will be sold from here until the end of the window. I'd imagine there will be plenty of suitors in Italy. If there's one thing the current board won't do, it's buy first team players without deals already lined up.

I'm unsure why there's some who believe Calafiori would be overkill. A great player for a reasonable price who can either play at CB or LB, a position we've been struggling to fill since AC retired.

It's very surprising more clubs don't scout Africa (work permits?). There are plenty of players, old and young who would thrive in Europe. Kaabi is the latest example of that.

I'm a big fan. I've been keeping an eye on him at Valencia for a while, and like most others, I'm shocked that nobody has really pursued him. My remark about my age was directed towards our transfer dealings as a whole. If Bologna really hold out for the figure that's been going around (likely to increase if Italy process), I don't see anyone in Italy being able to afford him.

Ah, okay. I was a huge fan a few seasons ago, and he was my number one choice for a while. However, he hasn't been at the same level for a while, so a lot would come down to the potential package as to whether he'd be good value or not. I just really hope we sign someone who's first-team quality and over 27 this summer.

I won't forget your report on Kvaratskhelia when he was probably an unknown to most in the world at that time. Cucu's recent performances has been a huge surprise. It seems like wages are seen as more of a problem with our board than transfer fees. Isak is supposedly earning £120k~, up that to £150k~ with bonuses, & he'd still be behind our top earners. Newcastle need to sell due to FFP (they still haven't paid for Hall, IIRC), so this sort of deal probably has a much higher chance of happening than most think. I still believe David is the best option available right now at £20-25 million

Let's stop doing favours for Italian sides. If they want someone, all deals have to include obligatory buy clauses. Enough of these loan spells.

There's no disputing that. I just feel we need more of a presence upfront to switch roles with Jackson (if Enzo persists in using him as a CF as well). There is no guarantee Palmer gets anywhere close to the same numbers next season, and Nkunku's fitness is a mystery at this point. We, as a club, can't afford to gamble at that end of the pitch. The standard of player we are after is drastically declining should someone like Summerville end up here.

Their profiles are very different. Also, I don't see the sense in comparing stats since David hasn't been putting up crazy numbers and plays in a worse league.
