I obviously don't know all the ins and out, but after Fabrizio's tweet earlier today, it leads me to believe Gallagher clearly played a big part in what transpired in the end. Also, I feel like there has to be more to the board suddenly switching terms up where Samu was concerned (failed medical was supposedly debunked) than we are led to believe. If the main reason behind that was really because Osimhen suddenly became a real possibility, the failure to secure his signing was beyond stupid on their part. We'll know the full effect of all this if any come May.

If only Gallagher had played ball. 😔 I'm sure we'll revisit this transfer over the next two windows. However, we might be priced out of any potential move at this rate. £30m for a squad player (money we'll most likely never recoup) while people complain about us buying whatever the flavour of the month is in SA. Neither is ideal, but I know for sure which I prefer.

At this point, just keep an eye on players who are or once were part of City's youth set up (four of them scored in the EPL at the weekend). A side note, I really like the look of Rogers. It's a shame we're stacked where WF/AM are concerned.

What he normally does - try to play sweeper. Someone took advantage for a change.
-
Neither did I. He was virtually invisible during the Olympics as well. I feel his performances at the WC might have painted a different picture to some. As you stated, he isn't cut out to lead the line by himself (he was in a pair during his time at River Plate).

Alvarez looking anything but since joining Atletico. It's early days, but I'm still pleased we stayed clear of him. Interest in Duran will continue to ramp up at this rate, though.

Most sides at the tournament should have a continental title within the last four years to their name (finalists to make up EU spots). Mamelodi Sundowns is the perfect example. FIFA/UEFA's ranking systems are always as stupid as.
-
And this is the side who took the final European spot for next year's FIFA CWC.
-
He's been playing at LB, too. To keep a clean sheet against arguably the best attack (so far) in Ligue 1 is credit to their squad & the work Rosenior is doing.
-
It's more concerning when you consider how much support they gave him throughout the summer. If Ratcliffe continues to support United with such bizarre decisions, they will continue to decline.
-
I think they haven't won in their last 15 games. How O'Neil is still in a job is beyond me.
-
He's rise has been something. Playing regularly for Brighton & is already a permanent fixture in the Cameroonian NT at only 20.
-
I'm unsure if Brighton's line has been well placed on occasion or our positioning has been poor considering how many offsides we've had. Three goals ruled offside, I think.
-
Sancho has had some really bright moments this afternoon.
-
The same player, too. He's clearly after that title this season. 😄
-
In all fairness, if we didn't have Sanchez in goal, we'd probably still have a cleansheet intact despite that.
-
Palmer has scored four goals in a single game twice since joining us. He's truly becoming the World Cup offensive player we've been waiting for.
-
Sanchez and greediness. That's giving Brighton hope.
-
Something else from Palmer. He really should have 4 as well.
-
Webster ain't getting back. That should be a red all day.
-
We are one side Brighton shouldn't be playing that line against especially considering who they have at the back.
-
Third time is the charm. I thought Jackson had messed up the chance up, as he was clearly in to minds. Brighton seem so open. We could have easily scored 3 in as many minutes.
-
Great pass from Enzo. Palmer should have probably passed to be sure, but Jackson didn't help him either. We managed to miss a 3v1 last season, IIRC.
-
Just when Sanchez was getting some praise. Erratic!
-
I thought Felix or Nkunku might have gotten the nod to start with Palmer possibly starting out wide.
