Ivan instead of Sam and Kiwoyma instead of Feruz then?

------------Schwarzer------------- --Azpi---Cahill---Kalas---Cole-- ---------Matic-----Baker---------- --Willian-----Oscar-----Salah--- ---------------Torres--------------- Bench: Hilario, Hutchinson, Ake, Mikel, Schurrle, Feruz, Ba. That's a nice mix of young and old to me. Hutchinson, Ake and Feruz to come on in an ideal world (if we're winning).

There is a slight chance that his ligaments are still tender and haven't fully healed. But personally I would be more worried about him having to play opposite Medel who I do like, but lets be honest, he's a nasty player sometimes, and even if MVG isn't any more likely to get injured, if he did get seriously injured then his growth as a player would have been completely killed, considering he has just come back from a long lay off already and would miss most of pre-season.
-
Because he must have thought his chances at getting in the WC squad for Netherlands was over when he did his cruciate. Now he's offered a training session with the squad, maybe suggesting that he might actually make the squad for the WC. He's hardly going to turn that down is he? We can watch him play in pre-season, surely everyone would rather see Baker or Swift instead?

*sigh*. I really really like Reus. He's a top player. But we've got more chance of bringing king Ossie back from the other side than him signing for us (or anyone but Dortmund for that matter).

Said it before, i'll say it again. Salah looks like he's got a lot of potential. He's had some really good games at Chelsea and some really poor ones. Inconsistency is a sign of a young player (hell, look at Oscar). He wasn't good at all yesterday, but I see him as a raw talent. He's got a lot of talent in there, but it is VERY raw. You can't really be surprised when he's come from (no offence) a smaller club without the top level training facilities and coaches the top players have access to. If he puts the work in, and listens to Mourinho and the other top coaches at Chelsea, he has every chance of becoming a top top player. But he needs to put A LOT of work in. Good luck to him .

Typical. Norwich roll over for United and then rock up to Stamford Bridge and defend like gods...
-
Cahill you fucking hero...
-
All I can say is thank god we're not really in the title hunt still. Cos is properly be doing my but watching this if we were...
-
This has been much better. Unlucky so far. Only a matter of time.

Agree with everything except the Costa bit. Even Torres would've been better than Ba today. Those balls to his feet have been perfect, his passing and link up play has been woeful. Costa would at least play another player in and we'd have had at least a few more chances.
-
Watching Chelsea to try and cheer yourself up might be among the worst ideas you've ever had mate...
-
Apart from Schurrle and maybe Cole, those players need a serious kick up the arse. This is piss poor in creativity and Ba looks like he's never met the players in blue around him ever before.

To solve the issue with people sending stupid or awkward questions, you could open a thread a week before the interview is to take place and have people post the questions they'd like asked in there. Then the interviewer (whoever) can select what they think are the best questions from that thread, along with their own questions, and ask the interviewee all the questions at once? Whether the interview is by text on the forums or by video link doesn't matter then.

--------------Big Mark-------------- Ivanovic---Kalas---Cahill---Cole -----------Matic---MVG------------ Salah-------Willian-------Schurrle ---------------Torres--------------- Giving some young lads a chance as well as resting the half injured JT, Oscar and Eto'o but still a strong enough team that should win the match. That's about what i'd do.

Take the positives lads, look at Man Utd in the 'against the top 7' part and have a good chuckle.

I personally hate the way we play when we play 4-3-3. Maybe that's the players as opposed to the system, but i'm fairly cautious about it. I'm quite happy with the 4-2-3-1 if we get a decent striker and DLP, which could morph to 4-2-2-2 when needed.
-
For me it would have to be: 5) Hazard vs Newcastle 4) Ivanovic 3) Schurrle 2) Baker 1) Torres So Torres got my vote on the poll and on the Chelsea site.

The media are even getting to the Chelsea fans now.... Propaganda works
-
Sounds like a brilliant idea to me.
-
I made wholesale changes but you didn't? So you signed the same number of players that I suggested signing (3) but just kept hold of ageing players on a high wage rather than playing youth (Ivanovic over Wallace, Luiz over Zouma, and Lampard over Piazon). Hardly that different.
-
If he's only going to be £32M then he is by far the best option for us, hands down.
-
Like I said before, I'm an optimist . Well Shaw, Vidal/Gundogan and Costa would probably cost us £100-£110M so we only need to make £80-£90M in sales which I think would be quite possible.
-
You're probably right with Chalobah. Chalobah could stay and go out on loan then to a PL club if he's happy to do that. Kakuta for £10M is also a bit unrealistic actually in hindsight, but I reckon £10M for Marin would be more than possible to a high-middle Spanish or German club. Thing is people have heard of those 2 but they wouldn't have heard of Davila and Delac so those 2 probably wouldn't get bought and I just don't see a future for Marin or Kakuta at the club. As for Piazon, I just like him and his style of play, think he's been very good at Vitesse from when i've watched them this season. I know that isn't a guarantee he'd do well here but i'd like to give him a chance. As for Lampard *braces self*, I love the man, I really do, but I don't think it's fair to him to not play him when he'd still be good enough to play in Italy or USA cos he'd be behind Matic, Gundogan, Mikel and MVG in the pecking order. Also, his wages would be far too high to do that even if he wanted to. I'd much rather see him as a coach or something, but unless he took a huge cut in wages (again, not fair to expect him to do that when he could get more elsewhere) I don't think he'd be a viable squad player.
