Yeah but we also need to register 3 GKs to meet those rules. So Beeney/Blackman would have to be our 3rd keeper and so would have to also be injured before Mark could come in. And preparing for 3 GKs being injured at once is ridiculously pessimistic and paranoid!!

But if we don't register him then he won't be able to come in and play, even in those circumstances. Unless it was before this transfer window ended or in January.

As much as I like Schwarzer, unless Cech or Courtois are leaving wasn't his signing a bit superfluous? We should have a HG GK as our 3rd choice, like Beeney or Blackman.

I thought he did but I guess we'll have to see. If Torres or Cech leave to accommodate another striker, if they're not HG themselves we'll still be in the same situation. I hope it's Mikel, Ramires or Torres that goes and not Cech. But we'll have to wait and see.

I doubt Cech will go tbh, looks like he's happy to be here for 1 year tutoring Tibo before leaving. Torres was the one everyone at the club wanted to be rid of (for obvious reasons) but after seeing that that isn't possible i'm reckoning it'll most likely be Ramires. Mou seems to rate MVG highly and we all know he likes Mikel for the big games, and you have Fab and Matic already there so we don't need more than those 4.

I partly agree with you that freaking out in pre season is not a good idea. But I also think that if we were still playing a backwards style I also kinda agree with the moaning. Guess we'll have to watch the next game and see. If we're poor again, then it's time to worry, but otherwise we keep up the positivity for the season ahead. I'm on the fence tbh.

Jay Rodriguez would be perfect. Young, English & would offer something different to Costa. Hernandez or Remy would be two other great options. And I wouldn't be too upset with Bentekkers or Bony.

You actually do seem to make some solid arguments. I don't think people are slating him as a player because he does have some quality and a decent amount of potential. It's his attitude that stinks. You weren't around earlier when people were spouting abuse at anyone who suggested it was Lukaku that wanted to leave and not fight for his place. And saying that noone had any facts to support that statement. Well now we do, and I apologise but I thought you were one of them. Got a bit carried away, sorry. I wouldn't have minded him staying here as a 2nd choice striker, but he obviously didn't want that for whatever reason. Also, his press conference after signing today didn't help. And his other press conferences actually where he claimed he was the complete striker and shit to that effect. He just came across as an arrogant douche and Mourinho's recent comments seem to back that up. Maybe we're wrong, but if we are then I would imagine Lukaku will refute Mou's comments in a future PC. He is pretty outspoken after all. And even then we won't know who to believe.

I think they did plan it. Maybe not with KDB/Lukaku and that lot but with the youngsters we signed from like 05 onwards, we all realistically knew that at best 1/10 would be good enough for Chelsea, and out of the other 9 roughly 4/5 would make a healthy profit for the club to be able to go on and buy top class talent to make us a team which stays at the top.
