We'll wait and see then .

My controversial opinions: Stoke and Palace have the best fans in England if not the world. I appreciate and respect the way Arsenal have run themselves as a club in the PL. Busquets is the most over-rated player in world football atm. Aguero is better than Suarez. We should go back to the maximum 6 foreign players in 23 man squad limit in PL, limit of 3 in the Championship and limit of 1 below that. The German national team that won the '14 world cup would have beaten the Spain national team that won the '08 euros, the '10 world cup and the '12 euros. Drogba is less of a club legend than Lamps and JT, and his legend has been over-inflated because of the romance of scoring the winning CL penalty.

So because it's so early in the season i'm not allowed to have an opinion on anyone? :S. I also said he'd have been better at Chelsea in my original post, but he's obviously got a massive issue with his positioning because even though Man Utd's general positioning is terrible his is (incredibly) even worse.
-
He's not just out of form though, his positioning is terrible, his stamina is awful, he doesn't seem to be bothered about caring, just pathetic all round from him. I'm not writing him off, but I was singing his praises before and begging us to sign him, even for £25M. On the evidence of the start of this season I was so so wrong.

You should be
-
I would just like to say, having watched Luke "Please sir, can I have some more pie" Shaw this season so far I was so so so so so so so so wrong to suggest that we should have signed him. While he would have definitely been better at our club than Man Utd's he's been absolutely terrible, and showing every sign that he was a one season wonder at best. I was wrong, and am so glad that Chelsea didn't think the same as me in regards to him. I hang my head in shame...

Phil Dowd is a good ref. Probably my favourite tbh. Still can't get this gif out of my head, look at his eyes!!!
-
Crap. I'll edit my inital post to include this info then...
-
Only thing that was lacking Saturday was that he wasn't jelling with the other players. So passes were going astray and he wasn't on other player's wavelengths. That will come with game time though, so it's not a problem at all IMO.
-
Final nail in his coffin for me. We don't want to be associated with people that the media (rightly in this case) are going to brand as divers. Reputation proceeds them and refs give them less. So I agree with Jason, sell him and promote from within to fullfill the HG quota. Hell, T Hazard, Traore, Boga and Atsu are all better than him now.
-
-----------------Tibo----------------- -Azpi---Zouma-----Cahill---Luis- -------Ake-------Fabregas------- -Salah-------Willian-------Hazard ----------------Remy---------------- Bench: Cech, Ivan, Baker, Matic, Oscar, Drogba, Solanke. For me that's the right combination of resting players (Matic, JT, Ivan, Oscar) while still playing a strong enough team to not underestimate them (Fabregas, Hazard).

Southampton properly taking the piss now.

Don't know where to post this so it shall go here. Everyone laugh at the chump: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2796550/former-tottenham-target-leandro-damiao-faces-six-game-ban-trying-win-penalty-pulling-jersey.html

I just find it funny you're writing off kalas, omeruo and such like it's a given. I trust our youth policy and I hope to see another Courtois with my own eyes. Fernando? You're having a laugh.
-
I don't share your hate, but i'm very glad that he's the gaffer and not Pulis tbh.
-
To be fair it's going to depend on how Zouma and Kalas do before he hangs up his boots. If at least one of them show that they're good enough then it'll be one of them, if not then we should sign ONLY a world class CB. Otherwise you might as well keep the youngsters anyway. So essentially, Hummels or noone. As he's the only world class centre back that's even in the realms of being available now Varane (not world class currently but a top top player already and still extremely young) is committed to RM.
-
Unfortunately you're right. But that's one of the many problems with the England team as well as having an FA (and so a manager) with no backbone.
-
I said in my opinion. Rhodes, Sturridge and Welbeck are all better than him (is that even an opinion? Or just a fact?) so yeah, no fat boy. .

Report: Chelsea reach 'feeder club' agreement with Besiktas
Viper22 replied to the wes's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
If this is true then it's pretty awesome. Besiktas are a big club in their own right and could provide a valuable loan club for us. We obviously sweetened them up with the Demba deal! -
The British 23 now would look something like this in my opinion (assuming no injuries): GK - Hart (England), Forster (England), Foster (England). Defenders - Baines (England), Cahill (England), Clyne (England), Evans (N Ireland), Gibbs (England), Jones (England), Stones (England), Williams (Wales). Midfielders - Bale (Wales), Barkley (England), Brunt (N Ireland), Henderson (England), Ledley (Wales), Oxlade-Chamberlain (England), Ramsey (Wales), Sterling (England), Wilshere (England). Forwards - Rhodes (Scotland), Sturridge (England), Welbeck (England). So 16 English, 4 Welsh, 2 N Irish and 1 Scottish. Don't think the N Irish and Scottish would be overly happy with that tbh. But I think all 3 of their players are generous anyway. Even if you chose on merit you'd get in fighting and arguing about which players SHOULD be in. And tbh you couldn't expect the Scots to support the British team if they only had 1 in the 23 could you? You're right that being picked on merit is the best idea but I just don't think people would accept it, even if it was fair.
-
I would imagine they're all fit. Schurrle only had a cold and the Brazilian players will have jet lag but be fine. Won't be much worse than long CL midweek away days. Ramires might still be struggling but hopefully the break has allowed him to get back to fitness. And hazard is struggling a bit with his toe but he's a trooper, he'll be fine .
-
I said rightly or wrongly. No idea if it was to be expected as I must admit I wasn't informed enough about the subject. I wouldn't be surprised if UEFA had fucked up again, they're hardly the most competent organisation in the world. But hopefully the 2 teams deliberately won't be drawn together in future so this won't happen again.

We have enough problems with the English media ripping into English players and English managers. Would be even worse if you included Northern Irish, Scottish and Welsh players too. And selection would be one hell of a headache; if it was an English manager of the British team who selected too many English players in the mind of Welsh and Scottish and Northern Irish fans then the fans and the media in those respective countries would turn on the team and the media/fan pressure would be even higher. Will never happen, it's enough of a headache with the British and Irish Lions in rugby come selection time, and the Rugby fans and media are 100x more mature and unbiased than football fans and media.

MATIC 21. <3

That's bollocks mate. It's nothing to do with power. Azerbaijan and Armenia don't have any power either but they couldn't be drawn together. UEFA (rightly or wrongly) obviously just didn't expect such a stunt to be pulled. Hopefully the prevention of these teams playing each other will be implemented in future to stop this ridiculous spreading of politics into football.
