  1. I get that. But who's next in line in defence if we fully rest JT and Ivan like I suggested? It's either him or Kane. Just saying what I would do, still a strong team but with youth laced through.
  2. Hazard, Ivan, JT, Oscar and Willian to be rested. ---------------Cech---------------- -Azpi---Zouma---Cahill---Luis- -------Mikel-----Fabregas------- -Salah-----Baker-----Schurrle- ---------------Remy--------------- Bench: Schwarzer, Ake (if not fit then Da Silva), Christensen, Ramires, Swift, Willian, Costa.
  3. Fair. But I think we need Mikel & Ramires in a 3 man midfield without Matic. So assuming we keep our best wingers (Willian & Hazard) it's a straight shootout between Cesc and Oscar, and I think Oscar has looked less knackered and more effective recently. So I chose Oscar. Cesc would work too though.
  4. I wouldn't be upset with Lahm either. Rate the guy extremely highly. For me personally I think Muller and Neuer have been better this year but if you're talking about consistency over the last 5+ years then Lahm is easily one of the best in the world. I wouldn't agree he's better than Ronaldo, but that's all opinion as they're completely different types of player.
  5. More Ronaldo vs Messi arguments. Who gives a shit about arguing about them? They're all good in their own rights and the constant bickering is tiresome. Anyway, they'll all never be as good as this demi-god:
  6. For me i'd play (assuming Ake is out and Rambo is fit): --------------Courtois----------------- ---Ivan-----Cahill----JT-----Azpi--- ----------------Mikel------------------- -------Ramires---------Oscar------- -Willian----------------------Hazard- ----------------Costa------------------ Subs: Cech, Luis, Zouma, Fabregas, Schurrle, Remy, Drogba. We need Ramires' legs and Mikel's shielding of the back 4 as others have said. And I thought that Fab looked far more in need of a rest than Oscar so i'd drop Oscar back into a 3 man midfield. I've always thought that he'd work well there. Fabregas ready to come off the bench if we're in trouble for Oscar/Ramires. Everyone can have a proper rest in the week against Sporting.
  7. Drogba doing the usual bit. Taking all of the flack (some is deserved tbh) but then pulling out a goal/assist showing the old magic. Still a genius of a footballer that causes havoc in opposition defences, even if some facets of his game have faded.
  8. Why can JT do that when none of the rest of our team seem to be able to....
  9. Exactly. There's only 2 other Premiership teams that play in blue (not light blue like City or Blue/White like QPR) are Everton and Leicester. And even then those 2 play with white shorts so we might not be allowed to play in white anyway. On top of that Leicester might not even be in the league next year, so we will wear it for, what, 1 game a year (away at Everton) assuming we don't need it in any of the cups? It's so pointless, we should just have a yellow or black away kits like you said.
  10. The design of the 4th one with the font size of the 2nd one would be acceptable. And i'll be fucked if i'm getting a Chelsea shirt with red trim on it.
  11. I would say i'm surprised, but from the appalling attitude of the Spurs fans i've met in my life, i'm not.
  12. We're not on live today unfortunately. This website does good streams: http://www.ifeed2all.eu/type/football.html
  13. The English media going into wank overdrive over an average young English player? Never seen that before have we? They'll have forgotten about him in about 3 months, like all the rest.
  14. Maybe i'm being overly pessimistic, but with all the results in the last week going against us and everything else in the season going nicely I can see us dropping points here. Not losing (Spurs aren't good enough for that) but I can see this being a 1-1 draw or something, quite possibly with Spurs being undeserving of the draw (luck? refs? who knows).
  15. Are you really surprised? The level of journalism in this country was in the shitter 2/3 years ago and has only got worse since. The level of trust/respect they have from the general public now languishes somewhere between MPs and criminals. Probably rightly so.
  16. I don't know what the ex- part means. But if you're asking for chances that he doesn't rest Costa i'd say it's around 0% . He picked up his 5th yellow card of the season during the match against Sunderland and so has a 1 game ban to serve (this game). EDIT: I get it now, you mean apart from Costa In that case, I think there's a chance Mou keeps the same team apart from Costa (he's stated before that he likes stability in selection) but surely even he must see how people like Fab, Hazard and Oscar looked knackered in the closing stages of the Sunderland game and we need some rotation to keep the team fresh. But then again, whatever Mou does I will get behind. Because always trust in Mou .
  17. I love Tibo (see: Profile pic & Sig) probably a bit too much at times. But no way is he as good as Neuer. Neuer is better in every facet of the game bar coming out for crosses. Give Tibo 2 more years at the top level and we'll see then. But ATM Neuer is the best GK in the world. And I'm glad to see Neuer nominated, it would have been a travesty if someone from a team that won the WC so convincingly wasn't nominated. I personally would have chosen Muller, but i'm not upset with Neuer either, he'd have been my next choice. Ronaldo will win it all day though (as he deserves to).
  18. Bless you for thinking that he pays tax xD.
  19. BVB will be fine in the end. Key thing they need to do at the end of the season (or in January if at all possible) is ditch Weidenfeller. Loyalty is admirable but he's just not up to the task any more. De Sanctis on a free at the end of the season or Cech/Sirigu (if Cech signs for PSG) would be great targets for them. After that they have a pretty strong squad with some quality young players coming through and with some luck in the injury status of their players and some results going their way (they really haven't been this season) I truly believe they'll return to near the top of the Bundesliga. Not to their 2010-2013 level but near it.
