  1. I don't need to read a lot of posts to understand this deal comes with its flaws. Not my fault I'm cautious about the club I support.. as Special Juan said.. it's my own opinion on the matter at hand.
  2. Am I the only one here who isn't favouring this move at all?? Falcao is not a player who will just fill Drogba's boots and be a bit-parter, he will actually want to be first choice.. we already have Costa, who got 20 goals last season, so why are we wasting money getting this guy? is it because we don't want Liverpool to sign him? Sorry for sounding negative, some people might see my thoughts as complete garbage, but I guess it's up to Mourinho.. if he reckons he can keep both Costa and Falcao happy at the club, and the club can keep within FFP regulations with this move, then by all means it's fine by me! I just don't want to see our club struggling to follow UEFA's guidelines.. I still think Lacazette is a better option to try and sign, rather than Falcao.
  3. Cech going to Arsenal as a possibility.. not gunna lie.. makes my stomach drop at the thought! Not only would it be heartbreaking to see a legend join a rival club, but also it really strengthens a club with their tails up going into next season, making them a major title contender. I can remember what he said days before he was expected to sign for us in 2004, "I can't wait to play for this huge club, I want to play here for a long time." That he has done.. but I honestly hoped he would stay for the rest of his playing career! Only silver lining to this cloud, is that there's no way he can score goals against us clearly since he is a goalkeeper!
  4. Most controversial - Henrique Most Analytical / Thought Provoking - LDN Blue Most Helpful - Alex - (Because as stated before, his post-analysis of matches put my mind at ease, and that helps! )
  5. Funniest Forumer - Spike - (Did not even have to think about that one) Most Liked Forumer - We Hate Scouse Wisest Forumer - Madmax - (Hugely tough decision for this one.. both Madmax and FB have been around a long time, I chose Madmax in the end though)
  6. Best Football Knowledge - Supporter Best General Knowledge - Alex Best Newcomer - Supporter Those are my votes! Supporter always thinks outside the box when it comes to posting, almost as if he writes articles! I love seeing them, that's why he has to be best newcomer!
  7. It's because our new contract with Yokohama doesn't start until 1st July I believe.. I could be wrong.
  8. --- TIBS --- --- ALDERWEIRELD -- IVANOVIC -- CAHILL / JT -- AZPI --- If Alderweireld picked up any form and looked decent for us, I'd be happy with this approach. Cahill would eventually take JT's place after one season should JT finally retire, and thus we would keep our ruthless defense mechanism!
  9. Walcott would seriously have to develop his football brain then, if Mourinho were to even consider him.. otherwise he'd hardly get a look in. Though it's hard to suggest that Walcott is willing enough to sit on the bench constantly after having been an Arsenal regular for a majority of seasons.. you'd think that he would have a point to prove after having finished last season on a strong note.. If any cloud had a silver lining, it would be that Walcott would be nurtured by Mourinho, making him more creative and lethal than he currently is.. AND that he would be a better option than Cuadrado.
  10. Cech going to Arsenal will actually break my heart in some ways! Arsenal were so strong last season that I was actually terrified they would overtake us at the last hurdle.. offloading Cech to them only makes them stronger contenders for next season, and when they're a local rival, it makes it all the worse! I'd much rather see him join PSG if push came to shove! Not to mention my entire family support Arsenal
  11. Couldn't really decide between Jason or Alex for biggest contributor! Though both have worked effortlessly as admins to keep the forums running, in the end I chose Alex, because I've always been in agreement of what he writes here, especially inside match day threads where he irons out positives from every game we play (aside from all the negative crap that others write sometimes). It at least puts my mind at ease. I actually voted Spike for this category earlier, just because he cracks me up, and that's contribution in its own right! We Hate Scouse as member of the year... because of "THE SECRET INFORMATION"... enough said!
  12. Alex my man, I agree with a lot of things that you post, but this is one of a few times I've had to quint my eyes at what you've written.. Walcott, Seriously?? Walcott hardly has a football brain at all.. his creativity and decision making percentage is at a stern 0%.. not likely to push Willian out of the eleven on the right hand side! Although English, there are better Arsenal players we could ask for.. I understand that Walcott has picked up a bit of form, scoring a hatful of goals, one particularly in the FA Cup final against Villa, but that form was around the end half of the season, where Arsenal went on a straight run of wins. In games where it matters, he doesn't deliver the goods. I'd rather go for someone who has been a consistent contributor throughout the season. £10m plus Oxlade sounds like a better idea (and more realistic) if I'm honest.. we could get cheeky and ask for Ramsey or Sanchez but that's wishful thinking territory!
  13. According to the Sunday Telegraph, Rafa Benitez's first act as Real Madrid manager is to sign both Hazard and Costa... ...absolutely they can sign them... just be sure to offer us £500m plus Ronaldo and that might just be enough to afford one of Eden's fingers! in other words.. FUCK OFF!

  15. So I'm not as active on here as I used to be, however from the time I've been having a nose around and posting.. I've come up with these votes (hope I'm not too late with this)... 16. If I'm being blatantly honest.. Juve lost because Chiellini wasn't there! At 1-1, it looked as though Juve were on top of Barcelona for about 15 minutes or so, but if you look at that game as a whole, Barca, although they only scored three, were easily picking their pockets left, right and centre. There was no Chiellini to take the game by the scruff of the neck and give out duties during the game. Instead they had Bonucci and Barzagli, who did do their jobs well, but none of them have as much mentality as Chiellini has on the pitch! Vidal had a poor game if I'm honest. Didn't really do much in terms of commanding the midfield. Pogba did well but it wasn't his best display. As for Barcelona.. they were the better team throughout most of the 90 minutes and truely deserve to be winners. There is one specific thing I don't like however, about Barcelona winning, and that's because of Suarez! He's just a fucking cheat! How many times did he keep falling to the ground??
  17. Great player, but we don't need him... we got Matic! That's if we're planning to offload Ramires, but unless that's purely the case, no... don't need him!
  18. Good to see the club have realised what's at steak!!
  19. No way is beast mode allowed to be loaned out!
  20. Wow! That's more legit than the Griezmann picture.. and that's saying something!
  21. Exactly my thoughts. Plus, it was at the time wherea world class striker was needed immensely. We have Costa as a leading striker now, and it works greatly because he has support either side of him in the form of wingers. (Hazard and Willian) But will it work? Does Mourinho enjoy seeing two strikers up front tactically? Falcao and Costa have a lot of similarities to their game.. it's almost like explaining the comparison of Gerrard and Lampard as far as England is concerned. Previous England managers used to place both of them in the middle of the park and most of the time it didn't work properly because of their similar roles. Our current 4-3-3 works because the lone striker has a lot of support from the two wingers, while in the middle of the park, you have two central mids to create and roam freely, and a CDM (Matic) to successfully break up opposition play. Each section of the formation has a different role to play, and Mourinho likes this a lot. If you have two similar roles playing up top, one could get in the way of the other. I suspect the reason why Falcao had problems at United was because van Persie was there, and I guess you could say Rooney can accustom to the comparison, although most of the time, he played in behind the striker position.
