  1. like this one: And he missed a similar chance a few games later as well if i'm not mistaken
  2. But then...how would Ivanovic bomb forward if there is someone in the way?
  3. The question is simple: what is better for us right now? one elite player or several players of lower quality? Not saying the likes of griezmann are bad or anything but it is obvious what one elite player of the likes of Suarez, Bale, Hazard etc. can bring to the team. We have enough simple, good, hard working players to compliment the squad (Willian, Matic, Oscar, Ramires, Mikel, Cuadrado). The one thing that has been missing for us this season has been the domination against the bigger teams in the bigger matches and I feel we need another super quality in the team to fix that.
  4. This, basically. People get so hung up on these moments. Players can play like shit tactically but if they produce a single moment of beauty that's all they remember. I watched quit a lot of Liverpool games this season and he didn't really stood out. Then when he started to get a lot of praise i started to pay more attention to him individually but his performances were the same as previous coupled with the odd assist or goal. Anybody who can't see Coutinho is a typical overhyped piece of crap they don't know anything. And i don't understand why people would prefer him over Oscar in our 10. He wouldn't improve us in any way. We don't need more 'creativity'. We have proven we can score against parked busses. We need some more control in that position and that is something Coutinho would not give at all
  5. Maybe not Koke but Griezmann definetly isn't the player that is gonna elevate a team to a next level. That said I would be happy to get any of them but if i had to choose between Koke or Pogba (for more money) it would be Pogba
  6. The thing is, Griezman definetly isn't world class, and Koke might become one. (Don't get me wrong, i like those players and would be happy to get them) But the thing is: those are all Atletico level players and if that is the level we aspire to be (hard to beat, outsiders for champions league etc.) than that is fine. But you ain't gonna reach the level of Barca/Real with those players and that is the level we should aspire too i feel and with Mou at the helm, increased revenue for the english teams with the new TV deal it should be possible We shouldn't be scared to spend a little more on a single player. So if we are looking for reinforcement in midfield all we should look at is: Koke>Pogba? I think not
  7. I highly doubt there are two world class players available for us for 80M € this summer
  8. Considering we sold Lukaku for 28 million it wouldn't be unfair to pay around the same amount for Benteke since i rate him quit a bit higher than Lukaku. I wouldn't mind him here since he is the closest thing out there to a 'Drogba' kind of player and would certainly help when we are playing deep/hoofing the ball forward under pressure. He might not want to be the 2nd striker at a club though, but on the other hand, he ain't gonna be the number one striker for any Champions league team in England so we might be able to persuade him
  9. people saying it would be better to buy several players instead of investing into one world class player sound like Tottenham/Liverpool fans after the sale of Bale/Suarez. If you want to have a world class team, you will eventually have to break the bank and buy world class players
  10. Wow, Courtois already earning more than Cech ever did? And 37 year old Drogba on 100k a week??? what the actual fuck
  11. He is a 21 year old young prospect, hardly the kind of player to go and win you the league imo, however good he might be. Maybe in 2 or 3 seasons he will have developped enough to be a big asset. Not worried about this at all. And definetly not the kind of player we should be aiming at. We got enough young talent already. We should only go for world class players and otherwise give our youngsters a chance
  12. He is basically a one trick pony imo. Speed+powerful shot. And when defenders start to know and understand him he has very little to fall back on. Therefore he'll never be amongst the world elite imo If you compare him to Ronaldo for example, who might seem similar at first sight, he offers so much more. His techique, passing, dribbling, off the ball running are all much better than Bale which is why he has more influence in tighter games. The only way in which he would improve us, is in our counterattack, in which he would be superb, no doubt. And in which we have been serious lacking this season i feel
  13. You can argue all you like about his qualities, but all those points are moot The truth of the mather is that this transfer is never going to happen. Not when ManU is around with all their cash and desperatly trying to buy themselves to a new title. They will happily pay more than 80+million coupled with a huge wage, something we will not compete with and rightfully so
  14. Yes, i feel the same. Pep is a manager that is stuck in his philosophy like many other managers (LVG, Arsene, Brendan) and will rather clash with everybody than to change his ideas. Mourinho is a pragmatic man manager who first and foremost tries to create a team with the right winning atmosphere trying to get the best out of his players
  15. Only a few hours after we won the league and the bitching has begun again, sigh. That didn't last long as expected, wish i could have bet on that, would have made some good money
  16. almost looked like we were going to explore Hazard's ass in that second one
  17. Mikel can be such a good player when there isn't much pressure
  18. Like Neville said, Hazard just got to stop dropping deep. He needs to be as much as possible in and around the edge of the box or in those little spaces between the midfielders and defenders.
  19. You could see it in his run up, took a tad longer than normal i thought
  20. That's just the thing with his penalties, he intends to play it just on the opposite side of were the goalkeeper is jumping but if he doesn't judge it correctly it looks awful
  21. These last few games are gonna be very important for him i feel. If we win today there is a big chance he will start the last 3 games as well to learn and adapt to the team and the league. If he doesn't impress in these matches i'm afraid he will go down the same road as Salah, Schurrle and KDB
  22. Nice we finally get to see what Cuadrado can do from the start of a match
  23. I think Ramires is a better player simple because he is world class in a certain aspect of his game that is hard to find. Milner is just average in everything. Because of that i feel Ramires will hardly ever be out of place in a high end game and when everything clicks together for Ramires he can be a world class player on his day. So when it comes to balancing a team Ramires would be a better fit, Milner doesn't really give you anything of what you need.
