My post above was reply to someone else's post. I've already posted on the same personal conjecture at least once, hours ago. Scroll further up for one of my older posts, if that's so important.

I'm not listening to anyone on the web; just my own conjecture. The events on the last ~7 days' timeline tell their own story to an outsider.

While Chelsea got Morata, it is absolutely absurd that this house of clowns refused to sign the manager's first choice striker until the point where Mourinho and United scooped up Lukaku. You can believe what you wanna believe and I'm never certain, but there's a large part of me that is thanking the likes of Paul Pogba for the benefit of CFC getting CONTE'S CHOICE instead of "the club's choice" or whoever it is precisely that wanted Lukaku --WHOEVER IT WAS THAT INTENDED TO SIGN LUKAKU INSTEAD OF OUR OVER-ACHIEVING MANAGER'S CHOICE STRIKER. hmm...
-
Maybe because someone or some people relented after Lukaku signed at ManUtd and the door opened for Conte to get the striker he wanted instead of what someone else at the club wanted.

Hmmmm... Kanu on Emenalo: http://www.espn.co.uk/football/nigeria/story/3157665/michael-emenalo-is-most-influential-african-in-europesays-kanu
-
James would have been a useless, overpriced cnut who cannot play effectively where we need new players, so forget him.
-
Every Chelsea fan needs a "day's rest to recover."
-
More like Emenalo had to step out the way (thanks to Mourinho/ManUtd taking Lukaku), then Conte agreed a new contract with pay rise, and we signed Conte's preferred striker.
-
Well, just like everyone I'm feeling relieved and happy! Need those WBs, another CM, and another foward (RW/STR) and this window will likely look like an unparalleled success for this club! Congrats to Granovskaia (and maybe Emenalo??) and the club for making this happen!!! Happy day.

from the the above Marca interview and post: "I am very happy, god willing, tomorrow I will be at Chelsea, a club that has always admired me," the 24-year-old told MARCA as he left the camp. His departure from the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu after returning from Juventus is all but confirmed, and so the striker is confident he won't one day be heading back to Real. "Again, I do not think I'm going back to Madrid, I find it difficult and for now it's not something that I am considering." he stated. "It was clear that the goal was to leave, it's been a fairly strange summer and until I pass the medical examination, I'm not going to be calm." Travelling to England offers a fresh new challenge for the Spain International who would have found it difficult to break into Zinedine Zidane's starting XI this upcoming campaign. "I hope that I do well at Chelsea," he added. "I'm going to grow up, if not I would not have gone." As for his coach, there are no hard feelings towards the Frenchman. "I told him thank you very much for everything and good luck for this year," said Morata.

The kid has skills. Let's hope he hits the weight room and trains like a serious baller. Let's hope that Conte lights a fire under him for every match. I'm going to forget about the pricetag and any reservations about him and just be thankful that Conte is apparently getting a striker that HE WANTS. Probably no coincidence that Conte signed that contract just yesterday and now this is apparently happening. Somebody workin' overtime this week at CFC.
-
What a bunch of crap. Odds on Emenalo and Granovskaia getting booted out? WTF is wrong with this club? For one, either the club truly don't care about CL anymore and are just hanging out on the PL popularity charts until the new stadium is built (what then?) or CFC really do have complete shit people for negotiating deals and managing the squad depth via transfers.
-
Or, simply, he has no fire. I don't see Morata as a highly motivated footballer. A tall, yet reasonably skillful slouch.
-
So nothing happened today. Hmmmm.
-
Ricardo Pereira?
-
Need two top wingbacks, another centre midfielder and two forwards. Might consider keeping a loan army centre midfielder in addition to those.
-
Big test time for Granovskaia-Emenalo. What have you got?
-
I'm not surprised. I think our manager sees him the same way I do: a player that has very limited affect on matches and mediocre awareness/reaction to pressure and movement.
-
If Chelsea haven't executed in the transfer market by next week and Conte hasn't signed a new contract, a lot of fans will begin to wonder WTF is going on. This window should definitively prove whether or not Emenalo and Granovskaia are any good at all and perhaps whether Chelsea are truly an ambitious club in European club football.

Macron still looking good. Stoke City home and away nice. -
If Diego is leaving soon, we should be looking back at the sold players under Antonio and remarking on how quickly the problematic players were sold from the squad.

They look good. yes, the home blue shirt looks plain, but the detail in the fabric up-close is nice. No complaints. Very nicely done, Nike. Excellent look. -
Cannot evaluate this transfer yet. TBD. Antonio (good name) is a solid defender so far in his career IMO. Secondly, I do NOT see this transfer inhibiting Christensen chances. If CFC are sending Zouma on loan or selling him, I think Christensen becomes a first team player for us... but all is TBD after Antonio observes everyone this summer. Lastly, another positive side of this move is that it may help encourage more German players to come to CFC --which did not seem all that exciting to me personally months ago, but with players like Goretzka and Werner out there, I begin to change my mind.

Are we there yet? Are we there yet?
