  1. I don't see much value in either Roma centre back for CFC. Either nonsense rumours or intimations of another summer window that demonstrates Chelsea's ineptitude in transfer negotiations.
  2. Looks like we WILL have two quicker players to boost Eden's side of the attack next season. Paying premium for a WC FB/WB from a top European club while numerous clubs are in the market for top FB/WBs isn't surprising; in other words, 61 million pounds for this player is just reality. Also, look at it this way: Dani Alves ended up costing Barca about 30 million, owed to Sevilla 9 years ago. The market has changed dramatically since then and, again, we are trying to buy from Juve.
  3. Worth buying if we're not getting Alexis Sanchez. I would take Aube as a primary striker for us right now. Better option than most of the players discussed in the market. Stays fit, has speed, link-up play, enough strength, sharp shooting. BUY.
  4. Or maybe United sign Rom and he doesn't work for Jose, etc. etc. and we instead go for Belotti.
  5. I like Salah and his touch, dribbling, but I don't feel the great loss as I did with KDB. Good luck to Mo wherever his path takes him.
  6. Many of were happy that Chelsea DID sign a LB two years ago (more was needed), but it was settling for an arguably lesser signing at the time. As Greavsie says, it's good to see that Chelsea --if we believe all the rumours-- are showing the ambition for top-notch players again --esp. when we need quality on those wings to break a defence. I like what I'm hearing in terms of Chelsea transfer rumours at them moment. If it's true that Conte wants TWO CMs, I'm guessing Matic is outta here and we're getting more depth. Hope we get a gem for CM too.
  7. Is he not in the final year of his contract? If he doesn't cost too much, I think it would be a good buy. Physically strong player, HG, versatile, good passing, can finish.
  8. I question why Chelsea didn't go for a LB like Sandro aggressively 2 years ago when he signed for Juve. Baba Rahman was the answer? I can't help but think that Emenalo is permitted too much of a voice in transfers while others are inept negotiators.
  9. I fully support this move. swallow hard and use the money.
  10. Apparently it's Emenalo and Granovskaia. Emenalo is "technical director" and I guess you would call Granovskaia the chief director who represents Abramovich. It seems like Chelsea are taking too long to get deals done. Even if people think that it's still early, you have to wonder what sort of social and business lubrication Bayern possess that Chelsea seem to lack in their organization.
  11. I think this kid will be a big talent if he keeps his head down and stays healthy. Feels like one CFC should have looked to buy.
  12. Not an overrated player. Slippery and accurate his shots, plus the speed.
  13. whoa! slow down there CFC! don't want to buy a GK and sell some players too quickly now!
  14. If this kid is potentially a better version of M. Dembele (spurs), then why are Chelsea fartin' about with the transfer?
  15. quite cheaply too IMO. Anyone fancy a bid for Max Arnold? Wolfsburg laid an egg this year and barely stayed up.
  16. I would agree but for the fact that CFC's ability to score remains dubious going into a season with many more fixtures --and I want to keep this manager.
  17. Conte spent enough time tiptoeing around Costa's ego, so I don't see a reason to highlight any shortcoming of our manager at all.
  18. I'm so happy this lousy cunt is leaving. good riddance.
  19. Some of you need to just stop analyzing Lukaku or foaming at the mouth to tell everyone how inferior a striker he is. Here's another way to look at things: 1. Chelsea are a borderline "top club" in the world, still (Conte, the board, and Roman can continue working to change this) 2. The quality of CF/STR just isn't as great in the current generation and/or defenders are more difficult to overcome due to their skill level 3. Lukaku loves Chelsea thanks to Didier and what he saw growing up from this London club. He is more motivated to do whatever it takes for CFC, unlike Diego 4. Lukaku is more physically imposing (or can be) than Diego ever could be 5. Conte can improve Lukaku, and so can our current and future squads with the money CFC potentially spend People need to chill out and let things run their course. After all, the pool of talented upcoming strikers capable of setting the football world on fire at the highest level is rather small. Between losing this pathetic cunt called Diego and jumping to acquire one Kylian Mbappe, the club should find a reasonable compromise in a footballing generation that really isn't all that great in producing all-rounder footballers and deadeye strikers that punish defenders.
  20. Good. GTFO. I empathize with wanting to live in a warm, sunny climate with friendly people, but this guy is still a childish cunt on the pitch and can't play a solid full season. Get a real world class striker or a reasonable upgrade, CFC.
  21. Chill out. We're not in charge, Leif. Most people here still regard Lukaku as a compromise. Anyway, when it comes down to the most desirable younger strikers in Europe, I it's still hard seeing Chelsea as a top destination when the real big clubs come knocking. A player like Mbappe or Belotti would be nice...
  22. IDK. maybe heading accuracy isn't so good. I don't watch Everton enough to know about how many chances he gets, but I do know that their side do NOT create enough chances consistently in every match during a season.
  23. I'm not much of a Rom fan, but I think he has improved since we sold him. He still makes some poor passes after holding up the ball, but he reliably holds the ball up and can win it in the air. As others have said, he can consistently win aerial duels and his headers have very good velocity. He can score with both feet and his shot accuracy is fairly good. What he lacks: some trickery and elusiveness. However, I think he could become a little more elusive when playing with a much better side with players like Willian, Pedro, Hazard (and the next player we buy). If Diego's recent form is an indication of what to expect of him for half of a season while the previous two seasons indicate a player that only plays well when it's not too cold, etc. etc., then Lukaku is an upgrade over Diego. We need some better arc and accuracy from wingers and wingbacks to generate more header chances if we do buy Big Rom back. Lukaku just never seems to me to be the future superstar striker every club wants (unlike Harry Kane or Mbappe), but nonetheless, I think if he returns here, he improves even more under Conte and with our better players around him. Hopefully though, Chelsea will investing in more players who are lethal finishers this summer along with better CM and WBs.
  24. Just underscores the need for more scoring and quality across the CFC first team. Those transfers need to start happening soon or the Champions League season will be another underwhelming one for us, while the PL title will also likely slip away.
