False, Eto'o had better seasons in 05/06, 08/09 and 10/11. Drogba was a fantastic big game player but Eto'o was the same as well: only 4 players in modern Champions League have scored in two different finals, and they are Eto'o, Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi and Raul. Eto'o is the only player in history to have done two Trebles with different teams, and he trumps Drogba in overall goals, assists, club trophies, national trophies (2 African Cups, whose is all time top scorer, vs Drogba's zero) and personal achievements. Didier obviosuly is THE Chelsea Legend, one of the best african players ever and one of the best strikers of the past 15/20 years, yet you can't just ignore facts as Eto'o stands above him in pretty much every football-related category. As for the thread, irrespective of the achievements Costa will reach, it's obvious that Didier was the utterly superior player, he was not even comparable and on a total different level.

Well, Cristina is great when it comes to score hattricks against ridicolous and weak sides; in doing that he is GOAT, no doubt. Also, if it was for Cristiano R. no "La Decima" for Real, in final he has been horrid, and, as always, he scored a shitload of useless goals in the group stages. Not to talk about the WC: 30 shots, 1 useless goal and shithorse performances. Yep, 3rd golden ball is a must.

In Russia, making 20,5 mln per year, after winning 2 African Cups, 2 Intercontinental Cups, a bunch of Ligas and Copa del Rey, a Serie A, 2 Italian Cups, an Italian Supercup, 3 Champions League (with 2 Trebles)... oh yeah, Mourinho saved him. On the contrary, I'd say that, if not for Eto'o, Mourinho wouldn't have a freaking Treble in his palmares. Despite the "problems" in the past between Chelsea and Eto'o, he came here, and while clearly past his prime (that was obvious, you wouldn't get a prime Eto'o free), he gave it all for the team, scored 12 goals in no more than 30 games or so, and showed to be a top professional; also, the youngsters (especially Hazard) benefited from his experience and mentality. Completely agree, especially with the bold part. Eto'o used to "love" Mourinho because he thought he was one direct guy, who tells you the truth in your face: he obviously feels betrayed by Mourinho's backstabbing. Think about Mourinho saying something so disrespectful about Didier? Would you be happy? So, if I were Eto'o, I would be pissed aswell.

Here's the full interview: Eto'o speaks about Africa in 2014 Brazil WC

Atletico >>>>>>>>>>>> shitty PSG. It will be so hard.
-
Oh look, Blondie's fanboys have raged: how cute. Also, even Mourinho has made mistakes, and I can question everyone I want without your permission, my dear Keyboard warrior. Yeah? And Torres is shite.
-
Ramires, Oscar, Salah and also Ivanovic were HORRID, RIDICOLOUS today: so, no matter how much strong your team is, you can't win with 4 less players on the football pitch. But this doesn't mean the rest of the team played a bad game.
-
I disagree, not the whole tem has been shit, not at all: too easy to say something like that.
-
Yes, I think I have seen his name on the scorer sheet. Half of the team is made by donkeys who can't pass the freaking ball or defend a leading goal against a ridicolous team, but yeah, it is Eto'o's fault. Cahill: good game Terry: good game Azpi: still a good game Matic: not his best performance but, compared to Ramires, a beautiful game Willian: a beast, since he has to play for himself, Oscar, Salah and Ramires aswell Eto'o: the team, bar Willian, didn't give him a fucking ball, and still he almost scored a double. Players above have no fault today.
-
Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta, Matic, Willian, Eto'o: as long as they're great players, you still can't win if you play with only six players on the pitch, 'cause the rest of the team was FUCKING SHIT.
-
You maybe misspelled OSCAR.
-
Ridicolous, exactly like Ramires.
-
Thanks for subbing off Eto'o, at home, when you have to fuckin' win. The MOVE OF A MASTER.
-
Well, there was: Eto'o. But clever Mourinho took him off and put the blond shite in. WHAT A MOVE!
-
Ah! That's what you get when you sub off Eto'o in a game you have to fuckin' win!
-
Eto'o out, Torres in..... I JUST DON'T FUCKING BELIEVE THIS SHIT CHANGE HAS HAPPENED.

I don't give a damn thing about him as a person, what I judge is the player on the pitch, and as a player, Ibrahimovic is overrated. He always played in the best squad of any league, by far: Juventus pre-calciopoli: they would have won obviously even without him Inter post-calciopoli: really? His best opponent was PALERMO, and Inter was a tank even without him! Such a low level league. Barcelona: failed so hard isn't even funny. Milan: he won the league the first year, scoring 14 goals (wow) because Inter committed suicide with the Benitez case; second year, despite Serie A refs gifted him with 15 penalties (half of which non existent), he lost the league against an average Juventus, with guys such as Simone Pepe or Marco Motta in the first 11. PSG: really? REALLY? That's a championship level league, and he plays in a team which is 10 times better than the others, even without him. Also, you should be ashamed of yourself by comparing Drogba to this guy: even if Drogba hadn't won the CL, I would have considered him a great because he always did his best to try to make his team win. Ibrahimovic, on the other hand, always FLOPPED against big opponents and he has always been the CAUSE of the defeat of his team in CL: he has been ridicolous with Inter against Liverpool in 2007 and UTD in 2008; he has been a total joke with Barcelona, when fucking Gerard Piqué outplayed him as a forward; he has been ridicolous with Milan against Tottenham, in a game when he only managed to obtain 15 outsides. Ibrahimovic has only one style of play, he forces the team to adapt to his rythm and when the instensity of a game rises (see Champions League) he disappears from the pitch making his team sinking with him: Ibrahimovic is a fucking flat track bully who plays always in the best team of a national league and who does the "hero" against small sides, but when the stakes increases always shits his pants. I find also hilarious that people think "he wins leagues trophies by himself", yet with his national team he disappointed 9 times out of 10: if he is so strong to win leagues titles by himself as people think, he should have taken Sweden to World Cup at least once. How on Earth a guy who in his entire career FAILED to impress in whatsoever best continental and intercontinental stage, both with clubs and national team, can be considered "all time best" is beyond me, and beyond everyone who understands football and is not brainwashed by his useless goals in friendly matches or against low level teams (which are 80% of his career goals, by the way). If you really think that he is better than even one of the players in that list when in their prime, he surely is even more overrated than I thought.
-
Casual order: Van Basten Ronaldo Romario Rummenigge Raul Batistuta Eto'o Henry Messi Shevchenko Weah Drogba Villa C.Ronaldo Suarez This overrated #daretobullshit couldn't even lace their boots.
-
This player is fantastic: one of the absolute best worldwide in his role.
-
My Motm, what a game!
-
He clearly was still half injured, he shouldn't have even played. Anyway, thank you too Eto'o, you put on the pitch everything you got.
-
Thank you Demba! So happy for him, and for Chelsea!
-
So basically he wants the best striker in the world, because a younger Eto'o that was. The player who now comes closer to this definition is Luis Suarez, but for a list of reasons this is not gonna happen. Being said that, Diego Costa or Cavani would be fantastic, absolutely; indeed, as I keep saying, our dogma should be: Bring back Lukaku Sign Costa/Cavani Keep Eto'o
-
Bring back Lukaku Keep Eto'o Sign Costa That's what has to be done. End of story. Also, play every home game next year with two strikers (Eto'o + Costa or Lukaku) and every away game with Costa up front and with Lukaku ready to get on the pitch during the second half.
