Honestly, I never liked him as a player, at all.

Anyway, being said that, Eto'o played very bad before Christmas, after his injury. Now, he is getting better, but today nearly didn't touch the ball, because of the way the team "played", and I think that Eto'o shouldn't have started this game; I think in fact that Torres (who also needs minutes after recovering from his injury) should have started this match, since he is more suited for open space games. Also, subbing him at 45 minute was a ridicolous move from Mourinho.

The comedian here is you, and almost everyone knows that.
-
Luiz has skills, ability, athleticism, but apparently he has no brain to play as a central defender. Way better as a midfielder.
-
Broken disc, that's what you are: Eto'o plays bad, average, good or very good, you post always the same crap. Why don't you write this things in Torres' thread with the same frequency? Oh right, because he, unlike Eto'o, is such a threat for the opposition... But Eto'o is shit, while poor Nando "still has it in him " (cit.).
-
This is obvious. I mean: is there really someone who think that this Salah guy is better than Juan Mata now? Ramires is woeful and luckily Torres got in, thus we could see real offenisve football! WOW.
-
My God, Rooney, Busquets and Hulk are so overrated...
-
I honestly think Suarez would be the perfect player for our up front: Suarez, Lukaku, Eto'o. It would be really something.

Yes, Eto'o is showing his class and he is playing well, but let me say it is not only the straight finish that lacks compared to his old self: Eto'o was much more than this, much more; if you didn't see him playing on a regular basis, you really can't understand what I mean. The Eto'o of now wouldn't even think to do a thing like this: Also the Eto'o of old used to play a lot in Hazard's position, and he has been the player who accomplished the greatest number of dribblings (95, if I'm not wrong) in Italy during 2011 season. Now it is: Willian Oscar Hazard Eto'o Before it was: Pandev Sneijder Eto'o Milito A totally different story, trust me. Being said that, I'm really happy for what he is doing (considering he really came out of a "golden" retirement), especially for his winner mentality: you never forget that.

As you can see, everyone played really well, with Eden on top.
-
Hazard + Eto'o is just wow: a combination of fresheness, pure skills and runs (Hazard) with experience, class and mentality (Eto'o). Also, they get along so well. I like it.
-
A little bit inaccurate during the 1st half, but man, he runs so much despite being such a talented player.. I adore him.
-
Impressive game, absolutely a massive player when he manages to stay focused. But please, no more short-distance free kicks..
-
Only God knows how much I love him, speaking in football terms. Why has time to flow? Why couldn't he stay 26-27 forever? Like this: Nobody would care about any other striker with such an Eto'o and this Chelsea, this beautiful machine Mourinho is building, would be absolutely the best team on the planet right now.

Beastly last night, my man of the match along with Hazard.
-
A wall, in the literal sense of the word, physically and mentally.
-
Impeccable game and great gol.
-
This guy is strong, not "I do one good game and most of times I dribble the air" like strong, I mean really STRONG. Only thing he has to do is keeping on working, staying humble and focused: the rest will come by itself.
-
3 times: Eto'o, Matic and Cahill. GREAT CHELSEA today.
-
Man, a nearly 33 and semi-retired Eto'o shit-stomped you... But fine, you're an average team now; so let's think to good ol' times: oh, 2008/2009 season, Cristina, Tevez, Fat Boy Rooney, ah, what a team! But wait, a day is coming out of the mist: 2009, may 27... what happened then? Ah yes, a prime Eto'o still shit-stomped your amazing team. So yeah, being you, I personally wouldn't talk at all.
-
Today 22 people played in half football pitch for 90+ minutes. Everyone played well, except for Ramires; but when you face a 10-0-0 it can happen you can't manage to score. I liked Terry, Cahill, Azpi, Hazard, Mikel, Willian, Oscar, Eto'o; I liked a bit less Ivanovic while I think Ramires has been woeful (and that's not the first time). Anyway, this team feels strong, balanced, cohesive, and if we play like that against City, I'm confident in a good result, even if it will be obviously a really difficult game.

Agreed. From the Hazard-Eto'o situation you can see why Eto'o has been Samuel Eto'o for so many years: it's the mentality (besides the obvious and bright skills, of course). Eto'o has a winner mentality, a great charisma and he is basically Mourinho on a football pitch (that's why they get along so well and that's also the main reason Inter won the Treble: the "Mourinho + Eto'o" factor); I remember watching him in Inter Milan: what he's doing with Hazard he did there as well, especially with young lads (go ask Coutinho, Biabiany or Obi about that). In Inter, he used to always talk with his teammates, he was positive, always with the smile on the football pitch, and I've never seen him blame or accuse a teammate, not once; obviously, at the time he was still near his prime so he himself banged 40 goals per season, now he can't do that anymore, but I'm still positive that, as you said, an eventual up front made by Costa, Lukaku and Eto'o would be great for Chelsea (and also for Lukaku, who can learn so many things from Samuel).
-
Agree with you COMPLETELY.
-
Mourinho is far from being infallible, especially about transfers: go ask Inter fans about signing that awful Quaresma guy for 30 mln €... Mata to UTD is even more disgraceful.
