    • Never said it was easy. We've won quite a bit of silverware employing low blocks. It's certainly *easier* to defend with a low block than with possession: less space behind your D line to worry about. it's also far cheaper to play defensively, and defend with a low block, than it is to employ, successfully, a possession + attacking minded side. I think every time your team plays some is indeed shown to others who might be paying attention. Heard from multiple managers that it's common
    • Fair play to the faithful away fans yesterday made themselves heard, always a boost to the team - horrible weather and then the 0-0 but at least a point
    • That lad is nuts. Going straight to the top.  Not sure how we fit him with Caicedo, Enzo, Santos & Lavia.
    • I wonder when will the refs stop protecting the English players.. That lunge from Pickford on Gusto in the box yesterday was absolutely ridiciouls, like the one on VVD a couple of years ago. Malo is very lucky, a little bit higher and he was leaving Goodison Park with a broken leg.
    • Yeah not every manager can organise a side like Dyche when you want anti-football.
    • Yes, I remembered him being not this injury prone with us...
    • It is not so easy to lower the defensive line without a lot of training. Everton are probably the only specialists in that aspect in the prem at the moment. Weather conditions and the home fans helped them to succeed yesterday. It will not be easy to defend against our team for 90min, so I don't think they have showed THE way to others. Its just that Everton are really good at what they are doing.
    • As well as defender Josh Acheampong, who we have all been hearing a lot about lately, winger Tyrique George has been promoted to the senior side, getting an official locker in the dressing room and having an initiation by Enzo Maresca last week. It was a beautiful moment for both players and shows that actually, […]View the full article

    • Spurs fans demonstrated before their latest loss yesterday...price increases, and removal of ticket concessions compound their grief. The Spurs chairman has spent over £1bn on transfer arrivals since the club last tasted silverware - the EFL Cup in 2008.   -with their fourth permanent manager in five years, they still languish in the bottom-half of the Premier League table as we approach the half-way point of the campaign. Spurs picked up their eighth defeat of the season aga
    • Back in training, but won't feature before the end of the year, according to Maresca., because he wants to take time building back his fitness. Hope he can suggest something different for his physical conditioning too. With Gusto and Cucurella both fit, we are okay, but the moment we need to bring in a Disasi we are conceding a lot of advantages we have. This is where James is missed. We need a backup LB for sure., but the priority should be a top tier CB (if possible)
    • Ugghhhhhh I should have looked!!! He is so full of shit all the time.
