  1. Past hour
  2. I wish him the best but doesn't stop me thinking this will be a very short term appointment and this gig will be way too big for him I want him to prove me completely wrong, but the egos and some players in this team will be way to much. From the first team meeting he has to get this lot and I mean everyone on side from the off, if a handful leave the room remotely thinking "who the fuck is this guy" it's game over, he has to nail the first meeting and have them eating out of his hand.
  3. Chelsea fans are possibly the most disconnected to this club than they have been for a long time.…View the full article
  4. I hope he does welll..I doubt hell last 6 years or maybe he will who knows. I cant see us leaping to new heights and back to where we used to be but time will tell..
  5. "He's a super smart guy, but the one thing I can't work out about Chelsea is what sort of club are they? What do they actually trying to achieve. Are they trying to win? They'll say of course we're trying to win but you always felt, whether you like the Roman Abramovich era or not, that they were always going to compete or contest. But I don't get the same sort of feeling from this Chelsea package with the new owners"
  6. I don't feel the modern need to predict everything beyond if I eat food eventually a turd will come out. But if I did, this one is probably one of the hardest games to predict.for them they have less talent than us but are well oiled stable team and playing us is their "cup final" . For us the self sabotage shackles are off.
  7. After today's official announcement it is now confirmed that Liam Rosenior is now in charge at Chelsea FC until 2032 https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/article/liam-rosenior-appointed-Chelsea-head-coach
  8. Waiting for Rosenior to have his own thread rather than keep adding to the Yul Quitter thread.
  9. 6 years?!?!??! More like 6 months!! Thats stupid so so stupid. Offer him the job fair enough but not 6 years!
  10. Today
  11. And that's perfectly acceptable. It's easy to understand the fans' point of view.
  12. Strasbourg held a protest last Saturday during the game and this morning have spoken out about Blue Co taking Rosenior to Chelsea This is tragic
  13. The worst of it is, every BlueCo managerial appointment bar Pochettino, you think nah cannot get anymore riskier. But it does. Potter 5 year deal. Maresca 5 year deal. Rosenoir 6 year deal. These lot are just pissing money away on managers as well as players. They should just start giving out rolling 12 month contracts, make it easier on themselves, I mean its a circus regardless but least they’d save themselves some cash. And believe me, the way things are going, we will need it. Winstanley worked with him at Brighton aye. As did Sam Jewell (not sure what he does as head of global recruitment, not even sure if that title exists at any other club in world football). The more & more you look at it, it is cronyism/spoils system at its finest. And they’ve ripped the arse out of Strasbourg too instilling Davie Weir in place as a sporting director, another ex Brighton man who has strong links to the mob we have in place. Gary O‘Neil going to be their next appointment, so no doubt he will be top candidate to be Chelsea manager in 12-24 months. Anyone who has been attending games the last 12-18 months, save your hard earned money, don’t give it to these charlatans.
  14. And how highly Rosenior spoke about Winstanley is quite worrying It's like all the best mates are together again, we are in for a bumpy ride, strap yourself in
  15. Insane contract. Whilst I can’t imagine his salary being close to the other top managers who are on millions upon millions, that’ll surely be yet another hefty payoff when he’s sacked inevitably sacked shortly into his tenure.
  16. 6 year contract 😂😂😂😂😂😂 He will last 12-18 months Honestly these fucking guys are idiots
  17. Confirmed Rosenior contract until 2032 WOW https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/article/liam-rosenior-appointed-Chelsea-head-coach
  18. Sat together discussing how to make Strasbourg feel better after ripping the heart out of the club and massage them into feeling better. Instead of being sat around a table discussing what is needed at this club which is far more important than Strasbourg. Whilst we are around the table discussing other clubs problems, Man City are in talks with Palace to sign a player we should be approaching in Marc Guehi How sad.
  19. Absolutely, not even hiding that they're just a puppet feeder club. Doesn't really make sense to be a fan of such a thing does it? No independence and no ambition outside of supporting some foreign club you've no prior link to. And you just know the French are not the type of people to take that with a smile
  20. Feel sorry for Strasbourg in a way, we are just taking the piss out of them and stripping them of there manager and coaching staff
  21. There's a vague chance that as long as he keeps it simple and continues mostly with what Maresca was doing and just slowly tweaks things that he'll be able to do well, at least initially. Surely any big overhaul in approach will have to wait til summer with a scheduled so packed that you can barely get training sessions in. We have a good fixture run coming up which is perfect starting point for a new manager. From my PoV: Benefits to Liam's appointment - He will instantly lift the way the media talk about us, and will de facto be given more time and more respect than he deserves (not to say he doesn't deserve some, but English managers get a ridiculous amount of leeway by the English press). Perhaps even referees will start to treat us with less open bias. Downsides - Everything else - respectfully, of course. Not a job he is likely ready for in the slightest. The only reason he has a slight chance is that our situation is way more normalised than what Potter or Lampard were given (squads that needed multiple changing rooms filled to the brim with frauds).
  22. 🔵Liam Rosenior on player trading between the BlueCo sister clubs: "Yesterday we sat together for seven hours in different meetings and most of the conversations were about how we can strengthen this (Strasbourg) team from Chelsea."
  23. Fuck sake is that the only ambition you think a manager should have for us? Develop young players, sell them off, rinse & repeat. Winning is what any Chelsea manager pre BlueCo needed to do. BlueCo have killed this club. An absolute cancer. Only 6 years left before they can sell up as per the original sale, cannot come soon enough. People bought in at the beginning (optimistically) but anyone with 2 eyes could see after Tuchel’s sacking and all the changes in structure/recruitment they were full of shit.
  24. 🗯💥Statement from Strasbourg supporters federation: "The transfer of Liam Rosenior marks another humiliating step in Racing's subservience to Chelsea. For two and a half years, along with others, we have been trying to raise the alarm about this. "The problem goes far beyond the mid-season sporting impact and the ambitions of a young coach. It is structural; the future of French club football is at stake. "Every additional contortion by Marc Keller, every extra minute spent at the helm of the club, is an insult to the tremendous work accomplished before 2023. What was seen by many as an outrageous move last September increasingly looks like sound advice: he must leave. Now. "The FSRCS will coordinate closely with the three other associations actively fighting against multiple ownership, as well as all people of goodwill, to define the next steps."
  25. At least i hope he can develope young players.
  26. Liam Rosenior has confirmed he has taken the job at Chelsea in a PC in France. Nothing signed but it will be announced today
