World Cup Draw in a few minutes.... ''Staged just a mile from the White House, Friday's World Cup draw will have a distinctly political feel. The glittering ceremony will take place at the Kennedy Center, the famous Washington arts venue now chaired by US President Donald Trump after he overhauled its board this year. Proceedings seem to have been planned with the US president very much in mind. Seventies group Village People have been booked to play YMCA, a Trump favourite that is regularly heard at his campaign rallies. And, in a break with tradition, the draw ceremony will feature the awarding of a new Fifa Peace Prize, with Trump widely expected to be the recipient. Such gestures will only underline the alliance forged between the US president and Fifa counterpart Gianni Infantino, who announced the award last month after claiming that Trump deserved to win the Nobel Peace Prize for his contribution to the Israel-Gaza ceasefire, and enthusiastically praising his policies. Such moves are a threat to Fifa's commitment to political neutrality, one enshrined in its statutes, and risk turning the draw - and the tournament itself - into propaganda tools. They believe Infantino and Trump are effectively too close for comfort, and that it sends a message that world football's governing body is aligning with the Make America Great Again (Maga) movement, and endorsing what many feel is a divisive administration. Is it wise, they ask, that Fifa is seen to associate so closely with a man who only this week made disparaging comments about Somalis, describing them as "garbage"?

Could have won the smaller games simply by not choosing a braindead lineup. He's shit

It did work out, look at all the trophies we won before
-
But this is where you let your hatred get in the way of seeing the truth, an avaerage manager will play good once in a while but not consistently against the biggest team, PSG, Liverpool, Barcelona, Arsenal etc etc. That is not what an average manager does, you just hating. While consistency in the smaller games I will give you that, but that has nothing to do with average manager. That is about fixing some things him and the board can fix this summer.
-
He's admitting mistakes on Josh but not admitting mistakes based on dropping mass amounts of players and under estimating teams all the time. It's alright getting up for the Barca's and Arsenal's of the world but time and time again Maresca is being exposed by little teams time after time due to his own team selections, he's scared to take risks Maresca, hes a safe manager hence why he went Tosin and Badshit, he has his favourites and it will kil us this season because the bloke is as one dimensional as they come He's as bad as Ranieri named the tinker man, fact of the matter he's rotation wrongly, he isn't starting the strongest team to get the job done and then change it, he's going all out full changes and it's exposing him as the average manager he is
-
Not from the last game he ain't ready which is what been saying that is mistake you made just like maresca with the defense. But he admitted his mistakes in not starting Josh in his last conference. And he has gotten the best out of them against Barcelona, PSG and arsenal. So he is doing that.
-
Estevao should be starting he is our best winger along with Neto, but like with other certain players Maresca is holding them back, Like Achempong. I know your a Maresca bum boy and think he is the best thing since Mourinho but let me tell you he isn't, he is killing these young lads by sickening them on the bench. Josh is sat there watching players like Tosin fuck up time after time, players like Badiashielle coming back from an injury and walking into the team, yet when Josh has played he has never let us down and an 80 percent Josh is better than 100% Tosin and Badiashielle Maresca also hides behinds words, words that make him look more stupid than he actually is.....'protect' 'nurture' they arent fucking babies, they are elite level footballers and I guarantee if we had a top class manager he be both getting the best of them and not letting them rot on the bench and using empty fucking words
-
Like you was not getting with Estevao starting when I told you not good idea. You wanted to start Estevao from the beginning when I was telling you not yet. And we saw the right view of why is that against leeds. These young players you need to bring them in little by little because PL is another thing compared to the CL.

No, if we run afoul of UEFA FFP we cannot play in any UEFA competition
-
The risk of the books not being balanced, would simply mean we can't register them for Europe right? Still would keep someone for the league. Although, if Maresca and the directors gave more chances to Acheampong, we could manage until end of the season (assuming Fofana also stays fit)

right-footed CBs same as my left-footed list: 2 tiers of 5 and a teen: Marc Guéhi (often plays at LCB, but he probably does not want to come back here) Leny Yoro (very hard pull) Dayot Upamecano (likely will not come here) Ousmane Diomande Joel Ordóñez then Tomás Araújo Jan Paul van Hecke Giorgio Scalvini (IF fully fit) António Silva Mohamed Simakan then a 19yo (just turned 19 four days ago) Noahkai Banks
-
Yeah pure profit. Then buy a defender that fits the build of the team.
-
Drogba was never some prolific goal scorer either. JP has had his bad games but we are scoring goals and he is great in the build up for the most part. Delap is finding his feet after being injured. Our defence is the problem.
-
I just dont want another repeat where they dump 50 plus million on yet another winger, while we persist with the same center backs from the past 2 seasons
-
not sure if the books would still balance UNLESS we sell players as well In terms of left-footed CBs, here the only ones remotely available (in January or, more likely summer 2026 and some are CRAZY hard pulls, like my number one/number two CB want on the planet, Alessandro Bastoni, the other number one/two want being the now NOT at all available ambipedal Dean Huijsen, who went to Real Madrid and THAT just so fucked us this season, but hey, no club can compete with Real if they WANT a player badly) that I rate: 10 veterans, in 2 tiers , plus a 17 (18yo in February) youth Alessandro Bastoni Murillo Alessandro Buongiorno Jarrad Branthwaite (but is out until the end of January with a bad hamstring injury, so no way we would buy him in January) Castello Lukeba then Gonçalo Inácio Nico Schlotterbeck (will probably either renew with Dortmund or will go to Bayern) Sven Botman Evan Ndicka Konstantinos Koulierakis plus the 17yo: Honest Ahanor (EVERY 'Big 20' or so team on the planet wants him, some more than others, he is the best under 18yo CB prospect playing at Sr team level in Europe atm IMHO)

Benriach is launching a new whisky that has been maturing since 1994 Benriach's new single malt Scotch whisky has spent more than thirty years aging https://www.themanual.com/food-and-drink/benriach-is-launching-a-new-whiskey-that-has-been-maturing-since-1994/ Back in 1994, movies like ‘Pulp Fiction’, ‘Forrest Gump’, and the holiday classic ‘The Santa Clause’ were in theatres. Bill Clinton was the president, and ‘Friends’ premiered on NBC. It’s also the year Benriach’s newest single malt Scotch whisky began its maturation process. Benriach Shades of Smoke It’s called Benriach Shades of Smoke and this 31-year-old limited-edition expression was made in partnership with acclaimed generative artist Stefano Contiero who created the artwork that adorns the bottle. Master Blender Rachel Barrie created this expression from casks of Benriach that were laid down in the spring and summer of 1994. According to the brand, the result is a 48.1% ABV complex whisky, loaded with flavors such as juniper smoke, honey, yuzu, hibiscus, spiced orange caramel, lemon, ginger, orchard fruits, and gentle smoke. “Stefano’s visual artistry beautifully complements the ethereal nature of this remarkable Benriach vintage,” says Barrie. “After 31 years of maturation, the expression offers a moment of elegant indulgence on the palate, where gentle juniper smoke circles softly kiss layers of luscious fruit. Imagine indulging in chocolate clouds spiked with hibiscus and spiced orange caramel—all enveloped in the gentle, sophisticated whisper of Speyside smoke. ” If the idea of sipping a sweet, smoky, complex 31-year-old single malt Scotch appeals to you, you can grab a bottle soon. This limited-edition expression will launch in the UK, Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Poland, Singapore, Australia, the USA and global travel retail in the coming months for the suggested retail price of £700. https://www.benriachdistillery.com/
