Utd players have been praising Carrick, saying he has learned from Ferguson, and is bringing that Ferguson magic to training and tactics Cant imagine any of our lot said that about Liam 🤪- last time we heard anything like that was when they praised Tuchel
-
Not A Project CFC, the protest group, are planning two further protests. The first will take place on the steps of Wembley Way before the FA Cup final against Manchester City. A second protest to take place inside Stamford Bridge, where fans are asked to turn their backs in the 22nd minute of the final home game vs Sp*rs

But there has to be a will to do it. ie are the venture capitalists really that interested in team success ? If not the rot from the top will remain, no matter what Directors of football they appoint, puppets that are constrained by AI and cashflows. PL and Championship are littered with billionaire owners quite content to drive at 50 in the middle lane as long as they add to their fortunes. If they have the will for success, like the custodians of Liverpool, Utd, Citeh, where the penny finally dropped that you need to get a good manager in, trust him, and give him the autonomy to get on with it - that would be a start

So so true, the owners are idiots but these supposed sporting directors who should know about football are top garbage and Eghbali is naive and stupid to believe them in anything they do. Fucking morons all 5.
-
It starts with the owners, but IMO a fallout like this is what it takes for these clowns to wake up and change direction. I don't see the owners up and leaving next summer, but what I hope is that this season becomes a stain against Eghbali & his cronies. This will hopefully force Eghbali & co to reconsider their youth-prioritized recruitment strategy. I don't know if this means that Joe Shields & his Kinetic buddies will get displaced soon though. This season is a damning indictment, but I fear those parasites are going to stick around for a while to influence recruitment. Hopefully they (meaning Eghbali, Todd & the upper echolons) at least take the power of influencing team selection away from the directors and restore it to the coach. Whoever comes next. And speaking of who comes next, Rosenior and Callum are giving a first class demonstration of how a manager can make or break the team. Hopefully they will learn. A lot of 'hope' & 'hopefully' in my post, but that's the situation we're in. To make matters worse, the club is in massive debt and might not have the finances to make all the corrections needed this summer.

As it stands do the club even know? When you have 5 chefs making one fucking soup who has a bastard clue what’s going on
-
The biggest decision for me right now is not the manager, not the signings but who is in sporting charge first and foremost
-
If nothing changes next season and we still have FIVE fucking FIVE sporting directors, we will be in a relegation battle, we don’t need fucking 5 we need 1 competent SD, we need to stop this youth and only youth and need a mixture of both senior players and youth, this summer window is the only thing that will show if we have changed in terms of signings and managers, if it’s more of the same then we are truly fucked, this isn’t irreversible yet but it can be

This thread needed to be opened as I think we now have a very serious serious situation at this club. We haven't fell so low for many many years. Now bare in mind I have seen the early 80's, late 80's, 90's and to this day now. This right now is nothing short of tragic, not just performances, not just results but how the fucking club is run from top to bottom. Let's debate this, lets about what we are now, what we have sen and what we have become. Let your feelings go, let your mind type and let yourself say what you really feel. CFC is rotten, what needs to change? for me it starts with the owners but the sporting directors are selling them down the river, the signings are garbage, the ideas are pathetic and the appointments are diabolical. I believe for accidental fouls/non-deliberate has been removed. Intentional fouls are still a red card. He pulled him which was not an accident. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36047575 "But deliberate fouls will still incur a red card. Those include holding, pulling or pushing, not playing the ball, serious foul play, violent conduct or deliberate handball in order to deny a goalscoring opportunity."
-
Winstanley, Srewart and Shields are the biggest problem, they are guiding the likes of Egghead and telling them players like Garnacho, Gittens, Delap, Tosin etc are the right players....they are NOT. It goes above them though, the whole thing is a mess
-
Caicedo was shite today....only good thing is we may have a chance for GOTM for our only goal from Joao Pedro Some of these players man....Palmer, Caicedo, Enzo, Gusto...fucking rubbish
-
Not sure there's a big market for even our better players. And BlueCo will not spend with any seriousness.
-
They will sell but won't invest, get your head out of the clouds.
-
I’m going on the assumption that Enzo and maybe a couple other big sales are happening. We’ll have some decent money to spend in that case.
-
Pizy, i know you’re being enthusiastic for the love of this club but wake up mate. They can’t change the model and they won’t change the model. They have spent soo badly and left us in a financial crisis.
-
True. Its obvious the project whatever it is has failed! Keep doing what theyre doing and we are going down or least fighting against it "There is five or six really top players at Chelsea and they have been beaten by Nottingham Forest's B team. Less than 12 months ago, they took PSG to the cleaners [in the Club World Cup Final]. There is no connection between the players and the staff, or players and supporters. In one way it's a good thing because it shows us that football isn't just about spending money and buying players, it's about creating some togetherness. There is absolutely nothing there" Agree with Jamie!
-
The 'chancers' wouldnt be there under a regime that prioritised silverware over saddling the club with their borrowing. They could spend another 1.5 billion on players, get a shit manager in that the players dont respect, continuing outsourcing the medical operation - and ca plus ca change - which is exactly what I expect to happen
-
True but too many chancers in that squad too. Wholesale changes needed, wont happen elsewhere though, just the playing squad.

I feel like at this point they don’t have a choice. The supporters are rightly starting to get toxic towards them in the stadium every week. If they continue on with this same shit and fans stop going to the games altogether things will become untenable for them.
-
True but you honestly expect them to find a experienced manager? At this rate be lucky dip! Pull a season ticket out the hat job is yours!
-
Rubbish. Anyway. Inconsequential result at this stage. All eyes on BlueCo & co. in the summer. How are they going to respond? Will they finally walk away with their tail between their legs and admit that a good manager DOES make a difference. And that even the best managers need to be backed with experience and quality. To me, thats far more interesting than any of the remaining fixtures.
-
With a proper, experienced, quality manager I don’t think it’s possible to be a relegation area team with the talent we have in the squad. I realize they’ve all given up and have thus been dogshit for a while now, but a squad containing the likes of Caicedo, Palmer, Cucu, Estevão, João Pedro etc is t going to be fighting near the bottom of the league under a real manager. Even a struggling Maresca proved that. But if we pull another Potter or Rosenior we’re in deep, DEEP shit for the foreseeable future.
