  1. Past hour
  2. Ex Scouse fucker, no PL manager experience and can see him taking us down the garden path
  3. So he will oversee next mid season collapse Xabi OUT
  4. I agree. This is step in the right direction but it needs to be follow up with summer transfer. That they have really reconsider their position.
  5. Great appointment but let’s see how the transfer window goes before we say they have changed.
  6. Wow I can't believe it. They have really changed if they appointed him. He is a top coach for him....however we need to see if the club are serious this summer.
  7. When you consider the PGMOL said that Chalobah's challenge on Gordon should have been a penalty, then this should have also because it is leg first then shoulder.
  8. Is he any good ? Been on the dole since January...
  9. Today
  10. Still feels surreal to think of Alonso coming here. Wonder how the Liverpool brigade are taking in this situation
  11. I like Xabi for two reasons. he is a damn good manager. owners had to concede some control to get him
  12. worst than the poor recently record in the finls, were the fact that we didnt score a single goal abysmal
  13. Least we can laugh at Liverpool fans having a meltdown after this final.
  14. Try to be positive guys. New season, new manager, new players.
  15. Colwill coming back and was easily our best player says everything The rest are just shite
  16. I don't like this appointment, so argue alone......but I'm telling you all this will not make one difference if he isn't given full control There are 10 players he needs to get rid of, and hopefully in that lot is Palmer
  17. Colwill seriously strengthening our backline since coming back is the only silver lining currently.. We did alright today, but ultimately we are short in quality. We seriously lack playmaking ability in the middle of the park. A fit Lavia would be exactly this kind of player, but he is always injured. Quite mental that we are a worse team than four years ago given the money we spent.
  18. Credit to the club, they reacted quickly.
  19. 😶The Alonso announcement is imminent. The contract will be for two years. (@Marca)
  20. 👀🗯Xabi has met with the club. A contract has been agreed upon (term and salary); it includes a Champions League bonus if the team qualifies next season, as well as an exit clause in case things don’t work out (this is standard; all coaches have something like this). Everyone involved wants to wrap up the deal quickly, because Xabi wants to get in touch with our players to bring them all on board before they head off to the World Cup (he really likes our squad a lot). He wants Cucurella and Enzo it’s going to be a big summer...
  21. Only in principle. This could easily change if Slot is sacked tonight or tomorrow.
  22. TOP class CB to pair with Colwill and a super high quality LW need to be his absolute priorities. Assuming we can keep all,of our current best players we’ve got the bones of a good team in place for the right manager to build with. We’ve got our RB & LB, we’ve got multiple top CM’s, we’ve got a really good striker, and we’ve got a couple of gems in the AM positions that can be unlocked. Alonso if given SOME control over things + 3-4 serious signings that aren't silly gambles or “future talents” and we can rebound dramatically next season. But if we do the same stupid things we’ll get these same stupid outcome.
  23. 🗯🔵Chelsea have chosen Xabi Alonso to write a new chapter in their project. The club and the manager have reached an agreement in principle for a long-term contract. (@FabriceHawkins)
