Seen a couple of films at the cinema recently:

Oblivion: In other words Wall-E, Predator, Plant Of The Apes, Total Recall, 2001:ASO + more. Felt painfully unoriginal, I wouldn't really recommend it. Although that said, it was visually great and the OST was also good I guess ( I think M83 were responsible for the score).

Iron Man 3: Agree with @, much better than the awful Iron Man 2. Still not as good as no.1 but enjoyable nonetheless.

I absolutely hated the second. Whiplash is the worst villain ever.

It was awful but it was an awful in a way that bad action movies tend to blend together. I really think that I don't remember a thing about the movie. There were some fights and some explosions and a lot of hackneyed dialogue...(These movies are way more product than art).

@Rmpr,@, I'm was planning on watching it but not so sure after reading your comments. Is it really bad? Better or worse than avengers, for example?

Look, I am a Marvel fan and I am totally biased, so take it with a pinch of salt!

I liked it until the last 10min of the movie, it has the good mix between fun and seriousness, but I found that they totally rushed with the end and tried to give a too sentimental feeling to Spark (which is totally not his character). However, 90% of the movie is very good and entertaining...

Like we discussed, many people didnt like the second movie, but I liked a lot. I thought the third was by far the worse (only because of the shit ending), but I am a minority both amongst my friends and on here.

To compare with the Avengers is difficult, but if you only want a vague opinion on which one I found better, The Avengers.

I dont want to talk more because I am terrible at keeping movie/book secrets and I love to accidently lett spoilers out!

It is one of the best Spanish movies I have ever seen. But there is an English translated version of it... :)

Probably look like a Bruce lee film, where the mouth looks nothing like what is being said. Would have to check out a subtitled version.

If anyone wants Spanish movies for some reason, here are my list of top favorites:

1. Pan's Labyrinth - Simply amazing film, just watch the trailer.

2. Talk to Her - Pablo Almodovar, I dont think I need to prolong myself here. Anyways, it focus on the relationship between two men who love the same woman who happens to be in coma. It is absolutely touching, a bit like A Separation (for anyone who has seen it).

3. The Motorcycle Diary - This is fun only for whoever likes Che Guevara (not my case) or lives in South America. It is a bit documentary a bit fiction movie about the motorcycle road trips he did throughout the whole South America. The movie is simply brilliant, but it isnt for everybody, you will need a bit of context.

4. And Your Mother Too - This is a bit eccentric, it is about two best friends who are in their 16-17-18s and are discovering about life and sex. It generically makes us men (specially if you are at their age) feel incredibly connected with the two protagonists. They are young Mexicans, with no money that go on a road trip. as it is to be expected, they have usual teenage sex dreams and desires. So, both meet and start having sex with a lovely Spanish lady in her late 20s. It is about politics (specially related to third world problems), self-discovery, doubts, fetiches, expermentation (yes, I told it is eccentric), etc. I strongly recommend to anyone!

5. Sex and Lucia - No, not a porn movie. It talks about teenager relationships and how sex is involved in it. Cheap production, excellent story and the beauty of it are the couple's (boy and girl) amazing acting. It touch subject as school status, parents, the relationship itself, the sex, etc. All that means dating at that age!

6. Cell 211 - The only really good Spanish action/drama movie. It is wonderful in every way; great screenplay, amazing directed, excellent pace, faithful scenarios and actings, action scenes, etc. This and Pan's Labyrinth are the easiest to the everyday person to watch, so I give credit to it because it is always great to find intelligent movies that make the mass media market.

It's good. A lot if its poorly written but its really fun. But some parts are amazingly written so the camp evens out either the awesome.

Iron man 3 - 8/10.

Entertaining and the action scenes did not disappoint. However I could've done without the Liverpool game showing on the TV (with Skrtel scoring).
