To be honest I just don't want the club to spend all that money (£25,000,000+) on a player that isn't amazing. I'm sure he would be a solid player for Chelsea but that sort of cash should get more than a solid player. The numbers being quoted are nothing short of ridiculous. What has Cuadrado done to justify that sort of fee?

Marco Reus, Antoine Griezmann, Arda Turan, Arjen Robben, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Gareth Bale, Eden Hazard, David Silva, Franck Ribery, Thomas Muller, Angel Di Maria, Raheem Sterling and then there is a bunch of forwards that can play on the wings like Mario Gotze, Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, James Rodriguez, Santi Carzorla, and probably a few more like Edinison Cavani. I'm not syaing they are available but I don't buy into the fact that he is a top ten winger in Europe, I can't argue against the other two though, they seem accurate.

What about Jose Callejon? He is just as quick and hardworking as Cuadrado but with more production.

Yh I suppose top 10 was a bit exaggeration but he is a good player, a bit like Schurrle before he moved to us. Another thing is he is 26 years old already so these are his peak years, don't think he got any potential left so we need to keep that in mind as well.

Callejon is worse than Schurrle imo, must be the reason why Jose didn't take him to us last summer with him. Don't be fooled by a few goals he scored for Napoli, in big games he actually doesn't do much. Actually from your list I would really be interested in Griezmann and Turan if Simeone leaves next summer, 30m for either is quite good of a price imo.

But who is he crossing to? Outside of set piece situations the only threat in the air is the Drogman. Costa is bang on average in the air. It's not hard to find a winger better in attacking production than Willian . Afroman is a shuttling workhorse, and I love him for it.

Please not this guy. If he was any good he would've been good at 20-23, instead of now at 26, touching 27. A classic 'but he had a good World Cup' buy. We need players with resell value.

He was good at 20-23. He's been definite starter for Fiorentina since 23 and would have figured on a star studded Colombian side had they made it to the 2012 olympics. But Conmebol decided to have qualifying be based on the 2011 u20 tournament results and Colombia came in third place. He was already a important player on the National Team since he was first called up in 2010. He scored a goal in his first match and was named MOTM. He got called up before James Rodriguez and was one of the key playmakers on the team before him as well. He's been consistently one of the most important players on a extremely strong Colombian side that had been impressive way before the World Cup which took place really a year after the peak of the Colombian national team in term of player performance with their clubs.

Anyone who knows anything about Italian football knows that Cuadrado has been considered a top youth talent in the league since the age of 22 when he played with fellow National Luis Muriel at Lecce. But he figured as a Wingback for Udinese from the age of 20 and was converted from that position by Lecce and his performance at Lecce. It was due to his performances at Lecce that Fiorentina purchased him.

He certainly is better than some random Russian League Brazilian. He plays in the most defensively demanding league in the world and is often seen all over the place on the field. He's a player that gives 100% defending and attacking and that's not something you'll see often with a winger. He's very comparable to Di Maria.
