Kurt is like the Lukaku of centre-backs. The potential is ridiculously high but not sure if he's ready to step in right now. I would have preferred to keep Omeruo because he's a little further ahead in his development and has more experience.

I think Omeruo is off out on loan again tbh. Plus I wouldn't call Zouma the Lukaku of CBs either - Lukaku doesn't fully utilise his physicality as well as Kurt does.

I think Mourinho is going to give this lad a huge chance this season.

I dunno why, but I really like this lad. I'm really hoping he can give good games to Chelsea and have a bright future here. It would be wonderful if he could stay and provide cover for JT and Gary if he isn't still too young and inexperienced for that. I look forward to seeing him play again.

Couple of sloppy balls last night and nothing to really do defensively. Looking forward to seeing what he can do in the games against better opposition such as Vitesse and Werder Bremen. Physically he looks a lot different on the pitch to how I expected. He's one of those that doesn't really 'look' like a footballer.

He looked a little awkward and shy when playing at RB, he's basically to huge to be a full back. However i think he will be one Europe's best defenders very soon. Hope he stays as our 3/4th CB he'll still get shit loads of minutes.

Gave Wimbledon a penalty. Got caught out with a long ball and brought down their player. Had 2 decent defensive interventions beside that.

Biggest hint yet that Zouma will be staying with us and becoming first choice back up at centre back (Ivanovic being first choice right back sub). Really pleased, it means we won't be spending £3xm for someone like Varane unnecessarily.
