One question that springs to mind as far as I'm concerned amid these rumors...

Hiddink: Manager

Hughes: Assistant Manager

could it work??

Would Hughes accept an assistant role though...

I think it would work, because it's not only Hughes taking tactical decisions then, Hiddink would still play a big part even as a director of football. Hughes left his post at Fulham, Hiddink couldn't assure Turkey about his future and snubbed PSV, it all might be coincidence as well. With Chelsea you never know anything before it's official, you might have a rumour going around but they're hardly true.

I'm getting sick of having to wait for these things to happen!! Generally, I am very patient on things like this, but it seems like whenever we claim our interest for someone, we just get laughed at, and have the door slammed in our face. Frustrating times!

Mark Hughes is now evens for Chelsea job. Guss has drifted, albeit to 11/8. It was only day before yesterday I said to a mate there is no way Hughes walked out on Fulham without something lined up. Didnt think it could be us!

Guus stories from his agent are worrying, with regards to his agent saying same thing when Hiddink took CFC job in 09, back then Guus said the dual role of national and club manager was possible (he didnt leave Russia job if you remember), this time he has definitely ruled it out.
