Former England manager Terry Venables has died at the age of 80 following a long battle with illness.

Venables masterminded England's memorable run to the semi-finals of Euro '96 after a successful club career as a player and then as a coach.

Garnacho does exactly the same as James yesterday, kicks the ball away - no card

That's the thing that grates me. So inconsistent between these incompetent refs

Whether it's kicking the ball away, or walking up to the ref to discuss an incident, they're so quick to issue a yellow card without even giving the player a verbal warning.

And for what? How do these transgressions impact the play? James kicked the ball about 5 feet away from where it was. That's it.

All these new 'rules' are just opportunities for the refs to act like pretentious douchebags.

The inconsistency is incredible. Especially the surrounding the ref scenarios. Its fine for Man City Liverpool to do it apparently, though they dont have to do it very often as they have the majority of decisions go their way. Even the VAR decisions are all over the shop.
