magic weeds 446
Just a little turn away from the Transfer talks and whether Carlo should be given another season or not.As we all know, one day it might dawn on us that we are moving away from stamford bridge, so I was going through pictures and capacities of different stadiums in Europe and the rest of the world. Just wanted to know which stadium you wish would ressemble our new home.!!!Personally, I find the architecture of Estadio da Luz (BENFICA) to be so appealing. with a 65 647 capacity, thats probably the best out there. The 2nd one I think is Alliance Arena (Bayern) with a capacity of 69 901.What do you Chelsea fans think? Term-X 7,891
English stadiums should be close to the pitch, Olympic style stadiums have no personality.
LDN Blue 7,903
Spot on Term! The English style is the best! You get a real sense of atmosphere and closeness to your team when you're right near the pitch like we have now!

magic weeds 446
I know what you mean Term and LDN, but do you think there is a chance of getting the traditional English stadiums? even Wembley is gone away from the normal traditional stadium. and IMO, those straight up English stadiums are the 192x built. I even doubt constructors will be licking their lips to the prospect of building those stadiums. Dont get me wrong, I would love if we moved to a same old English stadium architecture but its never gonna happen. just my opinion
Rambo 1,729
English stadiums should be close to the pitch, Olympic style stadiums have no personality.Absolutely. Too commercial for my taste. The Bridge is perfect as it is.

middleoftheshed 388
I don't like new stadiums but IF we did move then it should be a bespoke design which is totally unique to Chelsea. Not like the emirates which is a smaller/crapper version of Benficas ground. Waterfall 893
Not sure how many of you follow baseball, but I really like what the Yankees did with their new stadium - using the same design as the old one but with new technology. I am not for designs like Allianz Arena that might go out of style very quick. New SB will have to get much bigger in size though.
Madmax 9,219
Like this one but bigger Bingo. A retractable roof would be nice though. And a better pitch, the current one isn't good enough for a club that aspires to play sleek football.
Tomo 21,751
People can say what they like about the Bridge but every single Chelsea fan with utmost confidence can call it the home of their team. Can Arsenal do the same with the Emirates? One location, One name, One stadium, One postcode = Chelsea FC and thats the way i want it to stay. jteezy 39
Don't forget Chelsea FC were created for STAMFORD BRIDGE not the other way round. It would be devastating to see Stamford Bridge sold and demolished.

Duppy Conqueror 1,557
Don't forget Chelsea FC were created for STAMFORD BRIDGE not the other way round. It would be devastating to see Stamford Bridge sold and demolished.just hit on this thread now and was gonna put that fact out to folks myself.plus theres the Chelsea Pitch Owners who own the pitch and turnstiles at the bridge, the CPO also owns the name Chelsea Football Club Ltd, which is licenced back to the club on the condition that the team play their home matches at Stamford Bridge. if Roman wanted to move Chelsea to another stadium in the future, the club would not be able to use the name Chelsea Football Club without permission from 75% of CPO shareholders . kwylino 329
Lets see. Ollie 4,400
Although i hate them with a passion, i really do like The Emirates and i'd love to see Chelsea in a stadium like that week in, week out. Nice big pitch too for our system which quite frankly SB doesn't allow us to play against defensive teams because of the lack of space. I do love SB tho but it's time for us to move into a modern super stadium soon. I also very much like Celtic Park and Dortmunds because they are big with still great atmosphere Edited April 18, 2011 by OllieCFC
