Wayne Rooney not in #MUFC squad that departs for pre-season friendly in Sweden today. The reason? A shoulder injury ...

HAHAHAHAHA of course, of course. (may be genuine but id bet against). This the same shoulder injury he played against Betis with?

That poster Utd made about his return looks pretty fucking embarassing now, cnuts

There is absolutely no legal obligation by a club to attend a supposed transfer request.

Not many people stay at their clubs after they handle a transfer request, but just as many arent allowed to join a direct rival.

There are two emphatic recent examples. RVP with Arsenal and Lewandowski with BvB. What do you think Manure will prefer to do? (especially after what happened last season, when van Persie basically gave them the title)

As far as benching Rooney, of course they can do it, as long as there isnt anything on his contract that stops it from happening (which I doubt Ferguson would have agreed on).

This argument of him being a human being and he cant root in reserves is complete bullshit. Leaving a player on the bench or in the reserves team doesnt infringe in any labor law nor human rights. Just look at Malouda and many other examples!

We dont know if any other team will show interest in Rooney, but Manure will try to sell him (if they do) to anyone besides an English team.

People say they need to sell him due to high wages (etc), but they really dont. United operated in decent profit for the last 2.5 fiscal years, they dont need to cut losses nor make money. If they do indeed sell him to us, it will be because they 'wanted' (or at least allowed).[/]

Malouda was left out of the first team and given the option to leave. Since nobody would match his wages he chose to stay. Same with Bogarde and Anelka. It's not bullshit, show me an example where a player handed in a formal request, was benched and a transfer was rejected. It's not about human rights its breach of contract, it's like someone changing your role at work from MD to office admin, it's grounds for constructive dismissal.

Anyways, he isn't going to be benched (as you put it), more than likely play 30+ games. But every press conference is going to be about Rooney, everytime they lose it will be about Rooney, it's going to be Rooney, Rooney, Rooney!!!

Enough to make you mad, enough to unsettle the squad, enough to ruin a whole campaign. Doubt Moyes needs or wants the distraction.

And I doubt he is signing a new contract. So your flushing £30 million down the drain as his value goes down next year, if your a PLC that's bad business. And one thing the Glazers need is £££s.

Either way Jose wins, was a great tactical ploy by him.

Maybe he's so unfamiliar with how to write that doing that transfer request actually injured him?

LOL MU WILL NEVER LET HIM ROT IN REVERSE, in the same way we would never let Torres do the same or Madrid do it to Kaka. These are the reasons:

1. He is on fucking £250k per week, about top 10 in the world, maybe even top 5? You don't let someone like that do nothing for a month let alone a whole season

2. He will stir things up, his personality mean he will not agreed to it. He will probably come out and start attacking Moyes...etc and damage MU's team morale and spirit

3. They can still get £30-£35m for him now, next year he will be £25m max, maybe even less if his form is horrible this season

4. He is actually one of their best player, and their best ST behind RVP

5. He is England's darling, all the newspaper would torment MU just about EVERY WEEK if it happens

6. RVP will probably be injured soon, doubt they would let Chicha/Welbeck starts ahead of Rooney

So we hear absolutely nothing about this injury after the match and just as we bid for a second time he gets "injured" and can't travel to a match.

Sounds to me like Rooney has been advised or decided to refuse to play.

It suggests to me the transfer request has been submitted.....playing in friendlies behind closed doors and flying around Europe is two totally different things all together.
