Found the programme lol or was gana bug the hell out of me,06/07...right at the end when we equaled scumboes record of 63..good ole linesmen :D

Tim Cahill 90-minute bicycle kick if I remember rightly??

No forget that I remember what you mean now, it was the final game of the season right?? And the game finished 1-1

I'm thinking of the year after when Avram Grant was manager!

Its an amazing record, the man's just a fucking genius and since he left us, we've been a bit dodgy at home. Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool twice, Sunderland and newcastle beat us in the CC.

BUT...

Maybe he should manage a shit team like West Ham, we'll see how long that lasts.

Nah Cahill's was 07/08 i think. In the one she means, we drew 1-1 in 06/07 to equal liverpools record and everton had a last minute winner ruled out for offside or something.

  • 1 month later...

Its over Sporting have just won at the Bernabeu.

But even so its still an incredible record that no club, other manager or player has got near and most probably never will.

151 games unbeaten at home! The best record for a football manager in the game's history! I'm sure that's just a tiny blip, his record will carry on like normal I would suspect!

Usually when you lose a record like that your lose one again short after wards before going on another long run (probably not as long as the last one tho).

Thats what we did when we lost our long standing record to Liverpool at home, lost to Arsenal at home a month later but then went on another run of like a year and 3 months before City made us start from square one again.

9 years then he loses it with Real Madrid against Sporting Gijon at the bernabeu!?

My god, that's madness. Of all the matches and teams lol. Congrats to him but glad it's over tbh.

It was always going to take a fluky team to end it, i think Madrid had 70% possession, it was never going to be a top team going there and rolling over them it was always going to be a team like Gijon.

Tbf Gijon played pretty well against Barca.
