Ancelotti made a huge mistake taking him off when he was getting his confidence back, i just hope that doesn't effect Torres. It could take towards next season, because i do think the top 4 is far gone anyway, but Torres should be able to get in form, i never expected Torres to come on and start scoring hattricks or even a goal, i knew it would take time, because i never expected it till a few days towards the transfare. To be honest, i don't see him becoming that Torres anymore. He's lost too much strength/balance, agility and pace, Those things, together with his phenomenal finishing and movement, were his main strengths. He still has some pace but nowhere near as impressive as before but his great agility and balance is gone.

I just hope that with confidence his finishing abilities of two years back will return (or at least something close to it). And his great movement and positioning will hopefully return when he's full of confidence too.

Nitpicking but how could he have lost agility without getting fatter?

I also doubt he'll suffer much from a balance loss, he was never the strongest striker and it didn't stop him from being successful.

You're kidding right? That's his face! He can't change that, other than asking a couple of teammates to kick his face in so he'll look hard. He's nicknamed El Nino for a reason. Full team debut at 17, club captain at 19. He carried Atletico for years while still very young, had the guts to leave his boyhood team to play in a foreign league and then spurned hero worship for a rival club. He's very ambitious and just because he doesn't look like Vinne Jones doesn't mean he's a weakling.

West ham are on the brink of relegation, but where has their time & effort been focused on?.. that's right. A new stadium, and all the hard work that entails. Trying to persuade the olympics committee and all that jazz. I used that situation as an example, as to why I'd rather the money be spent on Quality players. Than anything to do with a new stadium or stadium upgrade.

I have no idea. He used to be great at making very quick, twisty turns, which helped him a lot in 1 on 1 situations with defenders along with the great burst he used to have since he never had great ball control, but I haven't seen him doing that in a long time.

We're talking about the man who shrugged off the likes of Ferdinand but he's been losing a lot of physical tussles lately. But that may be because of a lack of effort and determination.
