I kinda miss Gallas..the nice version...all that drama and crap aside he was a damn good player for us at times...and Im gana run and hide now...

Gallas was excellent until he started acting up. Arsenal fans would probably agree that he has a tendency to become a twat if he doesn't get what he wants.

I did see Chopper play ..not our best defender but a true Chelsea Legend ,,An iconic figure in fact ,,some of his most memorable displays

were at right back ..a much easier position to wipe out a flying winger ...

I went for Marcel ...a player just as hard as Ron but with the added bonus of true class . I also credit him with the the development of JT ..

But Ron played in more violent days both on the pitch and the terraces...and outside the ground

I would be interested in knowing your chelsea team of all-time

for me Carvalho is the best defender in Premier League history!

Carvalho was fantastic but I think people forget how often he was hurt. He only played more than 40 games once in 6 seasons. By comparison, Terry has played more than 40 games 9 times. If you're talking about the best of the best, you have to not only look at quality but at quantity and Carvalho only played 135 games in the Premier League. Terry has played 373,

Desailly only played 156 in the PL and was an automatic choices as captain, quite like JT.

Carvalho on the other hand had to break Gallas' partnership with JT and has had to compete with top defenders like Alex and Ivanovic for the chance to partner JT.

JT over the time Carvalho was here played 195 games in the PL, that's just 10 more games every season after being an automatic choice.

So I don't agree that judging the player on his number of games makes sense,
