Carlo definitely lost this game. Three days ago already. By winning the damned Manager of the Month Award.

Half of what is wrong with the team is from Mourinho's time. Buying midfielders like Mikel and Essien who are athletic and strong but can't pass for shit. Not being able to sort out the right back situation. The team can change managers but the style doesn't change because it's the same style that Mourinho imposed. Plus when Mourinho comes everything is about him and the club takes a back seat. I don't want him back.

Just a quick question, why are people saying they dont want Mourinho back? I really dont understand that one.

That is my personal preference. I crave for attacking flair. Don't like much tactical game.

Rafael appeared 16 times during that season for Man Utd. Josh McEachran has appeared 7 times for us this season and of those appearances, how many of them were starts in competitive games? Thats the difference that needs addressing.

In fairness, McEachran has actually made 15 appearances this season... that's a whole host of opportunities in my book. We can't look to 'do a Wilshere' with him, because unlike Wilshere, Josh hasn't been given the virtue of a loan spell at Bolton or playing in a side under little pressure to win silverware, thus limiting opportunities. I think we've nurtured Josh well by giving him a taste of first team football - he now has to work hard to continue his growth and gain more opportunities.

I can see Josh becoming a god send in pre-season, earning the right for the start of the new season and pushing on from there. That is IF Carlo is still around. Stability is the only way can go through a transition with the youth, and build integrity within the squad.

Ask Yoann Gourcuff how that stability of Ancelotti aided his AC Milan career.

And by the same token, ask Alex Pato why you're at it.

We can all be selective with our arguments.

Yes we can but I bet you can probably find more examples of Ancelotti not developing young players into proper starting 11 players than you can find of him doing it. I mean the AC Milan side (before their recent investmenr )where the vast majority were members of Ancelotti's squad during his 8 year tenure were a living, breathing testament to that fact.

Big Drog I agree with everything you say.

Remember the bottlers Arsenal and the terrible season they've had? Well they're a measly 3 points below us,despite us spending £100m since last summer.

It's just not good enough, but Roman isn't daft and can probably see the problem we have.

And ask Roman how much he has invested to make the academy and the youth system one of the best in the world?

I don't think Roman is someone who will want to see his investments go down the drain, especially with the reported £300 million invested for the youth, and i think he would be wanting to see it at work.

and for the same reason he won't be happy with Carlo

Yes, but i am hoping that Roman still has some little faith in Carlo. It doesn't really matter what we think, it's all about the big man's decision. But, like i said, you can only hope Roman chooses the right decision, and leads the club in the right direction, unlike that summer.

(Releasing players and not getting any cover for the wholes in the team.)

But that's life, i want to be a footballer but im too shit, no Ancelotti nor Mourinho can mould me into a profilic football star. :D

I think some people here misunderstand the motivations for which some of us want Ancelotti to be sacked. I don't know if here I speak for every single person who want such a thing, but I'm gonna try to clarify a point.

If I - and I think some other - want an other coach for next season, it is not because we end up trophyless or because we failed in 1/4 in the Champions League. Even if we would have won today and thus win the League, I would still be for Carlo out.

If he has to go, it is because of the way we end up trophyless, the way we played throughout the season, and because of his youth involvement record.

Some members (The Big Drog, for instance) have already well explained the reasons for which we should change our manager, and I also have already explained it. So, as I ain't in a good mood, I won't explain those reasons again, lol. I just wanted to make it clear that the motivation wasn't about trophy(ies).
