BlueLion. 21,491
You can blame the tactics, you can blame the referee, you can blame the romance and celebrity of the occasion. But the fact was, the players on the pitch let us down and that cannot be overlooked. But I wish, just for once, Chelsea fans had the decency to accept defeat and give credit to a side that deserved to win, a side that showed commitment to the cause, passion, desire and togetherness - four things that seem to have deserted us in recent times. Whether that is down to the manager is irrelevant. Personally, I'm sick of the excuses. These players are trained athletes, who are paid hundreds of thousands of pounds every week to run around, chasing a spherical object. To look at excuses such as the players buckling under expectation, being affected by the Torres saga, etc... in my opinion is just a naive attempt to paper over the cracks which spell out the fact this club and its supporters have developed the same arrogance and complacency the players adopted in today's game.I'm as disappointed as the next man, but the better team won today. Today was the tale of 2 sh*t teams. One won by the luck of a terrible lapse in defeat, that's my honest view. I don't think they were better, except in their 5-man defence which stood against all our attacks and reduced us from shooting at distance. The midfield belonged to us, and our defence was tight 80% of the game. I don't deny their victory, I'm simply saying we're both awful. We should learn from it.My honest view. Styles 9,790
Liverpool did not deserve to win. They played a 9-1 formation and fluked a goal. Just because we played like utter crap doesn't mean the other team deserved it.I'm furious too that we have a rubbish manager.
Ollie 4,400
I'm furious too as we all are. No need to make a thread, i can quite clearly say we're all a bit fucked off today and most of us share the same kinds of views. UCL will be the savior (yeah....) Joe Cool 388
Our home fans are so awful :')The atmosphere was so shite, the Liverpool fans were out singing us throughout most of the game.

spuz 143
Why do an awful defensive Luckypoo team always manage to 'rob' 3 points off us? We need to wake up and learn from this. But we said that after the Sunderland defeat, arse defeat,Birmingham defeat etc etc. We'll never learn. Always start game ss slow with no zip or urgency. If only we had a manager to tell them to up their game a bit and show passion.I don't think so, it was for a large portion of the match that most of our home supporters were really quiet. It's up to the team to get the fans rowdy. They pay top money to be entertained. Watching that shit today, who would want to cheer honestly. If the players show no passion then why should the fans. spuz 143
Thank you, logic.Explain the logic. What if you're 17, you're not good enough? Brilliant logic. How old do you have to be to get into Carlos team then?

How old do you have to be to get into Carlos team then? There is nothing Josh could have done to break down that defence in the role that Carlo puts him. He is played as a deep lying midfielder, and there was a 5-man defensive unit holding firm. What was he supposed to do? Regardless of age, he lacks experience to make such a difference. We're not talking about a great team here either,it's a shit Liverpool team and we're at home. The experiencd players didn't break them down so maybe Josh could have. Styles 9,790
That's true. We lacked some spark today, Josh's composure could've helped us with that.Midfielders like McEachran need another player with similar abilites to function. Two ball playing CM would be a dream, the combination play is what we're missing in midfield. Our midfield is unimgainative and slow with very little ability on the ball under pressure. It is the biggest flaw in our team.
