Two incredibly stupid challenges in the most important part of the season - last year we were fighting for the CL spot, now for the title. His behaviour was and is having impact not only on the game itself but also on the following games because of his suspension. Such a player is not wanted and needed when the team is in the middle of a fight and he stupidly cuts himself off the half of the remaining games.

Really, not sure why people still go on with that about Mata and De Bruyne not being fighters and fight for their place in the team. They did try to fight and get in there, especially in Mata's case but the fact is, they are not suited to Mourinho's demands and system and they want to be playing week in week out, which is something that you can't really blame them on. Those 2 factors and the fact that we got good bids for them were the reasons why we sold them.

You guys should of read the Liverpool forum when Suarez got suspended... they were throwing out stats on how we don't need him anymore, we are better without him, etc, etc. Guess all those brits are fickle minded and changed their views in a snap.

Funny thing is no one is really talking about it.... Usually when our players do that, other message boards fill up with nonsense about our players, but for this incident, it's pretty quiet.

Anyways, I think it is unfair to conclude ramires did it deliberately.

Watching the replay in different angles, shows the play differently. Only person that will know if it was deliberate is Ramires.

I won't be surpised if Ramires' absence results in better performances, particularly in the 2 games after the next, Crystal Palace and Stoke, in which we will likely be having to break down a deep-lying defence.

We have generally always looked toothless or non-threatening and it has gone on for quite awhile now. We only had joy in our attack in that City game because there were spaces and gaps for us to attack which most player would enjoy and flourish in. Otherwise, we looked clueless in how to break down opposition's defence when they come to sit deep and defend only.
