how come when he has been playing excellently he gets dropped from the team. he has been our best midfielder for atleast a month but right when we change formations he gets dropped. its so stupid

He should have deffo played instead of Mikel (who looked dodgy at times vs Sunderland)... Don't understand it at all

What actually happened to him tho? He wasn't even on the bench against Liverpool and Sala (who's never been in the first team squad) was. After 30 seconds, Mikel was booked for being stupid again and he's treading on thin ice with 90 mins to go.

Gotta play him with Essien and Lamps. I've never been convinced with Essien and Mikel in the same team really. The energy to get up and down just aint there.

Comparing Mikel and Ramires is stupid.

They both play in different positions for starters and Mikel is much more important in the team. Ramires and Essien must battle for their positions, not Mikel and Ramires.

Mikel is a DM though. His role is to not go beyond the half way line (more or less), he's there to provide cover for Ashley Cole & Bosingwa when they bomb forward. Ramires is much more on the other half, his energy and enthusiasm is designed for the role we've got Essien in right now, attacking mid.

Ramires gets forward and he is another midfielder who wants to get into the penalty area. I think Mikel is a better player now but Ramires will make a bigger impact in an attacking sense, if we play with Ramires and Lampard then that automatically changes the opposing teams midfield strategy.
